Not shocked that another US Rep.,by the last name of Weiner would say what he had said about Rep.Alan Grayson. Congressman Weiner called him “one fry short of a happy meal”. I would say that’s pretty close. I am sure Congressman Alan Grayson thinks this is his way of becoming comsequential but it’s clear when he called Fed employee Linda Robertson a”K street whore”, he jumped the shark. A couple days ago O’Reilly sent Griff Jenkins to the Capitol to chase down the whacky wonder from Orlando to get him to respond to the various verbal bombs he has been...

Tiger Management Chairman Julian Robertson says that if China and Japan stop buying our debt, inflation could hit 20 percent. "It's almost Armageddon if the Japanese and Chinese don't buy,” Robertson told CNBC. "I don't know where we could get the money. I think we've let ourselves get in a terrible situation." Robertson’s 2008 picks, which included Visa, Baidu, Apple, and Google, handily beat the market. His worst performing choices went up 40 percent, the best more than doubled. Robertson says his firm still owns many of last year’s picks, but says he’s “not as berserk over owning stocks as...

Maybe we’re looking in the wrong direction on this whole NSA issue. I can’t help but think that for the Dems to go to such lengths, there has to be some campaign money in it for them. Just like they pander to the far left whackos I.E. Moveon.org, maybe they also have to protect themselves as well as pander to some of their big money supporters who may not want their overseas calls monitored by the Bush administration. This is just a first attempt to connect some dots, but it is interesting. Let’s start with Judge Robertson and the Clintons....

British street preacher Andy Robertson says all he wants from his community in eastern England is the freedom to disagree. Police have threatened to arrest the U.K. preacher for allegedly making homophobic statements. Once a month Andy Robertson makes his way to this street corner in Gainsborough, England. He says he's been doing it for ten years as part of the Open Air Mission, a Christian organization that first began street preaching in England 146 years ago.

On March 25th, Clinton-appointed Judge James Robertson (U.S. District Court), after having threatened to impose financial sanctions on John D. Hemenway for having enjoined the Berg lawsuit to force President Obama to release his birth records to prove his citizenship, backed down. Instead of financial penalties, the Judge issued a reprimand tinged with flippancy. Judge Robertson reconsidered his previous sanctions threat, possibly fearing monetary sanctions might spark a backlash and give a boost to the grassroots effort to force Mr. Obama to relinquish his records for public scrutiny. While the Judge gives passing tribute to Hemenway's long career of public...

Interviewing Christian Broadcasting Network founder Pat Robertson recently for a forthcoming piece on the possibility of a Fairness Doctrine revival, I threw in a couple questions about President Obama. In a CNN appearance just before Christmas, Robertson surprised a lot of folks when said he was "remarkably pleased" with Obama and that he "has the makings of a great president."

For the uninitiated, every year televangelist Pat Robertson has predictions dressed up as prophecy. He contends that the Lord speaks to him [in his heart presumably] and let's him know about things for the future. Now don't get me wrong, I think that God can and sometimes does speak to people. He does this for His reasons. I must admit that I don't think that God and Pat are on very good speaking terms. Now I have made my predictions for 2009. Prescient or imbecilic, they are mine. Other than creating my weak little brain, God had nothing to do...

(CNN) – Pat Robertson is "remarkably pleased" with President-elect Barack Obama, the conservative leader told CNN’s Suzanne Malveaux – and believes President Bush’s administration has not dealt with the nation’s economic crisis in a “professional manner.” “Well, it's hard to assess blame, but I, over the years — I hate to be critical, I mean I am a Republican, and this is the president of the party that I'm a member of — but I think we've had some serious goofs along the way,” he said on the Situation Room Tuesday. “The Katrina matter was terrible. The rebuilding of Iraq...

Pat Robertson "Remarkably Pleased" With Obama, Gives Bush C- In an interview with CNN's Suzanne Malveaux, conservative Pat Robertson said he was "remarkably pleased" with President-elect Barack Obama. Not so for President Bush, who he blames for the economic crisis. Televangelist Pat Robertson is considering buying The Virginian-Pilot, a newspaper he has criticized for its coverage of his activities. Norfolk-based Landmark Communications Inc. announced last week that it was evaluating whether to sell its assets, including The Weather Channel and the Pilot, its flagship newspaper. Robertson said in a statement to the paper Thursday that he is considering a potential bid. He said owning the newspaper would help provide internships for journalism students at Regent University, a school he founded in Virginia Beach. Robertson, founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network, has said the newspaper has characterized him unfairly.

DES MOINES — Mitt is about to give a speech on defense at the old Fort Des Moines, a military training center on the south side of the city. There are a handful of soldiers in uniform, but they and all the other Iowans are overwhelmed by the press pack. A quick count shows 13 still and video cameras and a handful of reporters who don't typically cover the Romney beat (Washington Post's David Broder and Dana Milbank, St. Pete Times' Adam Smith, Newsweek's Richard Wolffe). And precisely zero of them came here in the snow to hear Romney talk...

As much as the mainstream media like Rudy Giuliani’s liberal viewpoints on abortion and homosexuality, a panel on CNN’s "The Situation Room" were divided on the issue of Pat Robertson’s endorsement of Rudy Giuliani. Jack Cafferty, who won MRC’s "Tin Foil Hat Award for Crazy Conspiracy Theories" last year, labeled Robertson as being part of a "lunatic fringe" and opined that the endorsement was "absolutely irrelevant." On the other hand, CNN senior legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin thought the Robertson/Giuliani alliance was a "big deal." Cafferty and Toobin, along with host Wolf Blitzer and CNN senior political analyst Gloria Borger discussed...

On Wednesday, Christian Broadcasting Network founder, Pat Robertson (photo), gave Rudy Giuliani his endorsement in the race for the Republican Party's presidential nomination. Robertson's announcement came as a surprise to many political observers who believe the TV evangelist's position on social issues were not compatible with those of the former New York Mayor. Giuliani graciously accepted Robertson's endorsement. Robertson said the most important issues facing America were terrorism and the defeat of Democrats. Robertson's backing of Giuliani also came as a shock to the other men seeking the GOP's presidential nomination. However, under further scrutiny, Robertson's announcement made perfect sense--for...

Robertson to Back Giuliani By LIZ SIDOTI Associated Press Writer MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Pat Robertson, a prominent Christian leader and social conservative, will endorse Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani, GOP officials confirmed Wednesday. The former New York mayor backs abortion rights and gay rights, positions that put him in conflict with GOP orthodoxy, and has been trying to convince cultural conservatives to overlook their differences with him on those issues. That makes the support of a high-profile religious conservative like Robertson a particular boon. Giuliani, the front-runner in national popularity polls, and Robertson will make the endorsement official later...

[Pat] Robertson Predicts 'Mass Killing' [in Sept 2007] Jan 2 07:29 PM US/Eastern VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - In what has become an annual tradition of prognostications, religious broadcaster Pat Robertson predicted Tuesday that a terrorist attack on the United States would result in "mass killing" late in 2007. "I'm not necessarily saying it's going to be nuclear," he said during his news-and-talk television show "The 700 Club" on the Christian Broadcasting Network. "The Lord didn't say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that." Robertson said God told him during a recent prayer retreat that major...

My wife and I have sent our condolences to Macel Falwell and her family. Jerry has been a tower of strength on many of the moral issues which have confronted our nation. Liberty University is a magnificent accomplishment and will prove a lasting legacy. Jerry’s courage and strength of convictions will be sadly missed in this time of increasing moral relativism. I join with the tens of thousands of his friends to mourn the passing of this extraordinary human being.

You can’t get much closer to George W. Bush than Michael Gerson. He’s the former White House aide who wrote the “axis of evil” speech. From 1999 until last year he was one of the president’s closest and most trusted advisers, and among the leading evangelical Christians in the White House. So when Gerson calls people like Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson “dinosaurs” who should be more concerned with poverty and global warming, or when he praises Democratic Sen. Barack Obama on religious grounds, you can bet it’s going to upset many in conservative circles. And when Gerson then slams...

Qantas stewardess tells how she fell for Hollywood star in Seat 2K...and how after a mad, passionate fling he abandoned her to face the sack... The attraction had been immediate and overwhelming from the moment they first made eye contact. Falwell, Dobson, and Robertson: the left’s favorite targets for pointing out the undeniable truth that Christians are both human and flawed. I thought about these three men when reading Howard Fineman’s piece on the Orlando conference of religious broadcasters. Mr. Fineman’s headline labels them the “Three Kingmakers”. Each of the men have had moments in their lives in which the glare of the spotlight has magnified their spoken words, causing the casual observer to wonder who these men think they are, and the committed left to have their worst fears confirmed, and even supporters to question the wisdom of their...

The Australian stewardess has told friends she recognised Fiennes, 44, as he soon as he settled into his business class seat, 2K,...

NORFOLK - One of Hampton Roads' highest-profile Christians stands accused of a not-so-Christian act. A plaintiff in a federal lawsuit against Pat Robertson says the televangelist threatened his life and that of his family at a legal proceeding Wednesday in the Norfolk federal courthouse. According to a complaint Busch filed with the Norfolk police, Robertson entered a room in the courthouse Wednesday afternoon to be questioned for a deposition - an out-of-court form of testimony - and told Busch: "I...

WASHINGTON (AP) -- An American Muslim group is criticizing Virginia Beach religious broadcaster Reverend Pat Robertson for suggesting that the Quran, rather than being a divine revelation, was a fraudulent creation of Muhammad to justify his own actions. On his television show "The 700 Club" last Thursday, Robertson also said "violent jihad" is a core Islamic teaching, and he said Islam is not a religion of peace. Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, says Muslims who hear such statements may conclude that their faith is under attack from America. Hooper says clerics should be promoting their own...

DUBAI DUETS Late Friday, Department of Justice lawyers in the Office of Legal Counsel were attempting to determine if former President Bill Clinton had registered as an "Agent of a Foreign Principal." Federal statute requires that anyone -- even a former President -- doing political or public affairs work on behalf of a foreign country, agency or official must register with the Department, and essentially update his status every six months. It was not clear the Clinton had done so. If his status is less clear, here is what we do know: If Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton did not know...

The persistent U.S. heat wave is turning some evangelical conservatives into believers of global warming. Pat Robertson, one of the most prominent among evangelical preachers in the country, said in a show Thursday that the blazing heat this summer is "making a convert out of me" to the theory of global warming. Robertson said on the "700 Club" broadcast that "it is getting hotter, and the icecaps are melting and there is a buildup of carbon dioxide in the air." "We really need to address the burning of fossil fuels," he said, adding: "If we are contributing to the destruction...

Better late than never? On CNN’s Reliable Sources on Sunday, CNN’s senior international correspondent Nic Robertson added all of the caveats and disclaimers that he should have included in his story last week that amounted to his giving an uncritical forum for the terrorist group Hezbollah to spout unverifiable anti-Israeli propaganda. Back on July 18, Hezbollah took Robertson and his crew on a tour of a heavily damaged south Beirut neighborhood. The Hezbollah “press officer” even instructed the CNN camera: “Just look. Shoot. Look at this building. Is it a military base? Is it a military base, or just civilians...

In another in a series of notable pronouncements, religious broadcaster Pat Robertson says God told him storms and possibly a tsunami will hit America's coastline this year. Boycott Chevron Posted: February 20, 2006 1:00 a.m. Eastern © 2006 WorldNetDaily.com Al Gore got his share of criticism for attacking his country while on hostile, foreign soil last week. And, of course, he deserved it. In case you missed it, Gore took money from the Saudis – presumably big money, perhaps as much as $250,000 – to tell the Arab world that his country was guilty of "terrible abuses" against Arabs. Gore claimed Arabs had been "indiscriminately rounded up" and held in "unforgivable" conditions following Sept. 11. "The thoughtless way in which visas are now handled, that is a...

Courage under fire Pat Robertson isn’t playing some pernicious political game By Stan Goodenough January 11th, 2006 “Instructive” is a good word for describing the reaction to Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) President Pat Robertson’s remarks about the stroke that incapacitated Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon last week. Certainly it took immense courage of conviction for an influential man like the former candidate for the American presidency to say something he knew would enrage many people and put ammunition into the hands of his avowed enemies, and to nonetheless say it because he believes it is true, and because his conscience...

The White House sharply criticized Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson on Friday for suggesting that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s stroke was divine punishment for “dividing God’s land.” “Those comments are wholly inappropriate and offensive and really don’t have a place in this or any other debate,” presidential spokesman Trent Duffy said as Bush traveled to Chicago for a speech. Robertson made his comments about Israel and Sharon on his TV program, “The 700 Club.” He said, “God considers this land to be his. You read the Bible and he says ‘This is my land,’ and for any prime minister of...

US evangelical broadcaster Pat Robertson suggested Ariel Sharon's stroke was divine retribution for "dividing God's land" of Israel, igniting his latest trademark controversy. As the Israeli prime minister battled for life, Robertson seemed to suggest to viewers on his "700 Club" television show that Sharon was being punished for his policies in Gaza and the West Bank. "The prophet Joel makes it very clear that God has enmity against those who, quote, 'divide my land.' God considers this land to be his. "You read the Bible, he says, 'This is my land.' The Rev. Pat Robertson said Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is being punished by God for dividing the Land of Israel. Robertson, speaking on the “700 Club” on Thursday, suggested Sharon, who is currently in an induced coma, and former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, assassinated by an Israeli extremist in 1995, were being treated with enmity by God for dividing Israel. “He was dividing God’s land,” Robertson said. “And I would say, Woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the E.U., the United Nations or the United States of America. God says,...

Liberal fantasies of Karl Rove being frog-marched in handcuffs for leaking classified information may turn into a nightmare of prominent liberals being prosecuted for damaging the fight against al Qaeda via leaks of classified data. There are no names on the public record yet, but somebody leaked the classified information about NSA surveillance to James Risen of the New York Times, and a year later his paper published the story. The pieces falling in place are far from conclusive, but they are mighty suggestive. President Bush believes that the national interest has been harmed. In all probability, gears are turning...

Excerpt - A federal judge has resigned from the court that oversees government surveillance in intelligence cases in protest of President Bush's secret authorization of a domestic spying program, according to two sources. U.S. District Judge James Robertson, one of 11 members of the secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, sent a letter to Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. late Monday notifying him of his resignation without providing an explanation. Two associates familiar with his decision said yesterday that Robertson privately expressed deep concern that the warrantless surveillance program authorized by the president in 2001 was legally questionable and may...

The recent spate of natural disasters affecting the globe "might be" signs that the Biblical apocalypse is near, says Christian televangelist Pat Robertson. On an Oct. 9 episode of CNN's "Late Edition," the preacher noted that hurricanes such as Katrina and Rita and earthquakes like the ones that struck Pakistan this past weekend and the tsunami-causing one that struck Indonesia last December are hitting with "amazing regularity." Scientists see Earth doing what she always does, however. Latter days? "If you read back in the Bible, [Paul] said that in the latter days before the [apocalypse] that the Earth would be...

Capitalism 'causes natural disasters' From: Agence France-Presse From correspondents in Caracas October 10, 2005 VENEZUELAN President Hugo Chavez has blamed global capitalism for earthquakes hitting India, Pakistan and Afghanistan as well as for mudslides that have struck Central America and Mexico. On his weekly radio and television call-in program, "Hello, Mr. President," Mr Chavez said these catastrophes were nature's answer to the "world global capitalist model". "This model is destroying the world. The world is in danger. Never has there been such disasters, hurricanes, droughts, torrential rains. Incredible! The world is dangerously off balance," he said. WASHINGTON (AP) - Chief Justice nominee John Roberts said Wednesday that Congress has the right to counter a divisive Supreme Court ruling and decide whether cities have the broad power to seize and raze people's homes for private development. "This body and legislative bodies in the states are protectors of the people's rights," Roberts said on the third day of his confirmation hearings to be the nation's 17th chief justice. Republicans and many Democrats reacted angrily earlier this year when a sharply divided Supreme Court said cities can take and bulldoze people's homes in favor of shopping malls or other...
