On Hannity's show "Hannity's America," last night I could swear that near the end of his show he asked those on the invited panel "Is this Reagan versus Carter?" Did anyone watch his show last night and hear this, as he said this pretty fast? As if Romney is Reagan. Obama is Carter, but Romney is no Reagan. Romney is a Rinocrat.

After edging out Rockefeller 51% to 49% in the winner-take-all race in California, Goldwater had a huge majority of delegates, enough to easily win the nomination at the Republican convention. George Romney set about denouncing Goldwater, and even raised a stink at the convention to have Goldwater′s delegates disqualified. Romney was accusing many of Goldwater′s delegates as being everything from racists, members of the Ku-Klux-Klan, the John Birch Society and even accused some of being Communists! Imagine that! Once Goldwater was named the presidential nominee, George Romney still worked to undermine his campaign, refusing to endorse or support him. So...

Mitt Romney was firm and direct with the abortion rights advocates sitting in his office nine years ago, assuring the group that if elected Massachusetts governor, he would protect the states abortion laws. Then, as the meeting drew to a close, the businessman offered an intriguing suggestion that he would rise to national prominence in the Republican Party as a victor in a liberal state and could use his influence to soften the GOPs hard-line opposition to abortion. He would be a good voice in the party for their cause, and his moderation on the issue would be widely...

I am not one to begrudge Mitt Romney for his wealth and how he got it, but I do begrudge him for stipulating and perpetuating a lie that he is not a banker. Mitt Romney is worth a staggering $250 Million and is a banker in every sense of the term. Most of this wealth was earned as the CEO of a Private Equity shop where he and his team flipped companies for profit by making them more lean, i.e. firing people and selling assets. Take a look at the top campaign contributors for Mitt Romney and Ron Paul and...

I can't keep up with what Romney is supposedly going to go with concerning illegals. First it was the ridiculous idea from Romney that illegals will self-deport. Remember Daniel D. Portado? Then there was the buzz that some kind of Kobach plan would emerge. Now there is supposedly going to be some type of Rubio Quasi-Dream Act. Who knows what Romney is going to go with. I guess more poll testing, and/or focus group work from the Romney campaign is needed before a plan emerges.

Fourth, Remember the Difference Between Republicans and Conservatives. Conservatives look at the endorsements Mitt Romney has garnered from such establishment figures as former President George H.W. Bush and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, and most importantly from business-as-usual Washington insiders, such as lobbyist Ed Gillespie, and they see advocates of positions they often opposed, not friends of the transformational agenda that won the Tea Party wave election of 2010. Surveying Romneys record and agenda, and most importantly the people he is likely to bring to Washington to implement his agenda, movement conservatives see little likelihood a Romney administration will differ...

Rep. Schakowsky (D) has introduced a bill, the WORK Act, Woman's Option to Raise Kids, giving federal assistance that would supplement TANF benefits (for the first 3 years), because under current law a woman (poor or not) raising kids does not have her work raising kids counted as real "work." Dems are attempting to use Ann Romney's words against her. Ann Romney said that staying home and raising kids is "work." and Dems are countering that by saying that it shouldn't be just people like Ann Romney that should get to stay home and "work." Schakowsky believes that poor women...

Excerpt: "Now on Sunday night Romney was here in Palm Beach for a big fundraiser. Word has leaked out about some of the things that he said to the donors. These are things that he's not said publicly in terms of specifics on policy, and one of the things that he talked about was a tax plan. He wants to lower rates but eliminate some deductions for the rich. And I have to tell you, folks, I'm not comfortable with the Republican nominee talking about special plans for "the rich," special plans for "Hispanics." That was part of it, too....

Mitt Romney, it turns out, was against calling stay-at-home mothers working moms before he was for it. MSNBCs Chris Hayes broke the news this morning. Back in January, Romney appeared at a town hall even in Manchester, New Hampshire, where he explained his position on welfare. While I was governor, Romney said, 85 percent of the people on a form of welfare assistance in my state had no work requirement. I wanted to increase the work requirement. I said, for instance, that even if you have a child two years of age, you need to go to work. And people...

The Democrats have found their kind of war. It's the "war against women" they have conjured for the Obama Presidential campaign run. Should be fun, but don't look for any of the combatants to speak for the realities of today's women. Still, there's an opportunity here for Mitt Romney, if he'll seize it. The White House has wasted little time capitalizing on Mr. Romney's perceived weakness among women. Polls show the President with a 20-point advantage over the Republican with women voters. Team Obama is hoping to use the recent fight over mandated insurance coverage for contraception to broaden the...

Rick Santorums exit from the Republican presidential campaign is a win for the Republican establishment, but it is a win that has revealed the desperate weakness of the Republican Partys Washington insider culture. Now completely dominated by acolytes of the Bush family, the Republican Party at the national level has no real philosophical core it is merely about holding onto power. But this is not power as it is understood in high school civics classes the ability to use the levers of government by holding elective or appointive office. The power that the insiders of the national Republican...

The basic reason Romney should be opposed by conservatives is that Romney is not a conservative. More specifically, Romney is the author of the $50 abortion, the originator of the gay marriage license, and the founder of big government-forced health care. Those 3 are a mix of social and fiscal issues. The conclusion is that Romney is neither a fiscal conservative nor a social conservative. His tenure as governor of Massachusetts proves that point. Now, as Romney is touted as the “etch-a-sketch” candidate who will shortly begin his tack to the left, principled conservatives will do well to begin listing...

It was just one line slipped into the middle of a paragraph of Mitt Romneys speech on April 3 celebrating his primary victories in Wisconsin, Maryland and the District of Columbia: And the most vulnerable have been hurt the most over 30 percent of single moms are struggling in poverty. Seemingly unremarkable, these 19 words represent one of the many steps Romney will be taking as he treks back to the center in the aftermath of a primary campaign dominated by the hard right. It was only two months ago, after all, that Romney told CNN: Im not concerned...

While Mitt Romney was governor of Massachusetts, he signed into law the "Massachusetts Climate Protection Plan." So not only has Romney taken the lead on imposing universal health care, but also on combating climate change. The mainstream media (MSM) has obviously not be doing their job vetting the candidates since this hasn't come up at all in the debates. I have begun analysis of the Massachusetts Climate Protection Plan, and may follow this up later with my thoughts. Until then, here are some comments from Governor Romney and Secretary Foy on the law. Since taking office in January 2003, this...
