Advertisers aren’t the only ones pulling their products from The Rush Limbaugh Radio Show. our editor recommends In the wake of host Rush Limbaugh’s attack on Georgetown student and birth control advocate Sandra Fluke, musician Peter Gabriel has moved to have his music withdrawn from the controversial program. After learning that his song “Sledgehammer” was played during Limbaugh’s rant, in which he called Fluke a “slut” and a “prostitute,” a spokesperson for Gabriel released the following statement: "Peter was appalled to learn that his music was linked to Rush Limbaugh's extraordinary attack on Sandra Fluke. As part of their 2012 battle strategy, the Left is busy spinning myth from fiction and pressuring advertisers to abandon the Rush Limbaugh show. Despite an apology from Limbaugh, AOL suspended advertising today, making it sponsor number eight to do so. What is now obvious is, this is not about civil discourse, as some would allege. One can find instance after instance of television and radio hosts on the Left making the same comment Rush did, and much worse, against Sarah Palin, Laura Ingraham and other conservative women, yet, there was no outrage from the Left then, supposedly in the...

On our Georgia, Ohio, and Tennessee Republican polls in addition to looking at the Presidential race we also polled on some of the issues that have been in the news over the last week: Rush Limbaugh and the reemergence of birtherism. SNIP Sheriff Joe Arpaio's press conference last week put the birther issue back in the news and our polling in these states finds that the birther contingent is still pretty strong within the Republican Party: -In Tennessee only 33% of GOP primary voters think Barack Obama was born in the United States, while 45% do not. -In Georgia 40%...

Left-leaning pundits and activists who cackle gleefully at the prospect that current controversies will seriously damage Rush Limbaugh’s media career display their own vast ignorance of the talk-radio industry. Yes, El Rushbo’s weekend apology for crude comments about Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke demonstrate his own recognition that these remarks fell far short of the “broadcast excellence” he regularly promises his 15 million listeners. There appear to be a VERY large number of not-so-dumb people in this country who think this Fluke brat is a hero and that Rush is the anti-christ for refusing to see her as such. I am shocked stunned and bewildered. Romney-Obama care is NOT going away, people. This is just the beginning.

Levin took to the airwaves today to expose Sandra Fluke and defend Rush Limbaugh over these attacks from Democrats and the leftist media. One thing among many, that I loved about this monologue is that when talking about Obama calling Sandra Fluke, Levin wonders if Brian Terry’s parents ever got a call from Obama. Awesome. He goes on to tell Brian Terry’s story. But the end is where he really takes to calling the media out and defending Rush: "I want the leftists at MSNBC, CNN, and the other so-called news outlets who are dressed up as journalists but are...

I want the leftists at MSNBC, CNN, and the other so-called news outlets who are dressed up as journalists but are nothing of the sort, I want you to understand something. You don’t get to decide who the rest of us listen to. You don’t get to decide who the rest of us admire. You’re not going to succeed in driving Rush Limbaugh from the airwaves. I don’t care how many cowardly Republicans you speak to. I don’t care how many inside-the-beltway pseudo-conservatives you speak to and so forth Read more: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2012/03/02/levin-tells-media-go-hell-you-re-not-going-succeed-driving-rush-limba#ixzz1o16vd05m
