Has the Zimmerman trial judge felt the pressure from her community, her state, as well as the United States government, including Eric Holder? How could she not? The lady prosecutor, Angela Corey, as reported, waited a long, long time, and even bypassed the Grand Jury before she decided to haul George Zimmerman in for the "unjustified" murder of Trayvon Martin. I have noticed in this trial that Judge Nelson  has shown an obvious animosity toward George Zimmerman's defense lawyers. Her excuse, mostly, for her quick temper, is that she does not want to inconvenience jurors. "Hey lady," Jerry Lewis...

It appears that simple fact checking isn't part of the reporting process at the New York Daily News. Even worse, the story that they declined to fact check was about an explosive situation in Sanford, Florida where supposedly neo-nazis were patrolling the streets in the wake of the Trayvon Martin shooting. The Daily News finally revised their story but only after being contacted by professor William Jacobson of the Legal Insurrection blog who did the fact checking for them with the Sanford police that they should have done in the first place. Here is the Daily News excerpt below the...

Everybody wants to see justice done in the Trayvon Martin case, and almost everybody acts as if they already know what that is. Never mind the Rev. Al Sharpton, activist and crusading journalist all in one. Nor his MSNBC colleague Lawrence O'Donnell, who recently announced he'd decided to forgo wearing a hoodie on TV to look more like a prosecutor. Here's GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum on "Face the Nation," assessing shooter George Zimmerman's mental health. "Someone has a very sick mind who would pursue someone like this, Santorum said. "This is clearly a heinous act. You know, there are...

“Never let a crisis go to waste,” the phrase recently made famous by Barack Obama’s former Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanual, appears to be earning a place as the unspoken mantra of liberal agendas everywhere. When it comes to the battle over gun control, it’s getting to be a tired game for Alan Gottlieb, executive vice president of the Second Amendment Foundation and co-author of the new book, Shooting Blanks: Facts Don’t Matter to the Gun Ban Crowd...
