Hollywood star Ben Affleck has revealed he keeps guns at home after his actress wife Jennifer Garner was harassed by a crazed stalker. The 40-year-old actor and director, whose new film Argo is attracting Oscar buzz, admits to owning several guns which he keeps on hand at the $17.5 million mansion he shares with Jennifer, also 40, and their three young children in California's Pacific Palisades. Affleck said that after Jennifer’s stalker, Steven Burky, was arrested in December 2009, it ‘gave me a stronger sense of feeling protective about my family.' He told the Hollywood Reporter that he goes skeet...
  • [Vanity] Gun Control Issue

    07/10/2016 5:28:06 AM PDT · by 2nd Amendment · 49 replies
I've been thinking about the serious issue of gun control lately. Here is my dilemma. I have a nice AR that has about an 8-1/2 lb trigger pull. I'm having trouble controlling the size of groups. What aftermarket trigger do you recommend? I know a lot of politicians and media have been discussing a lot about gun control but I can't seem to recall anyone addressing my concerns.

On May 11, 2011 I received the following email from a friend and fellow Freeper: Here's what our daughter and son in law woke up to this morning - not to mention what the neighbor woke up to.. You shooters in the crowd will be glad to know that this neighbor of R and P - gal living alone - shot and killed the guy with 10 of 11 shots fired from a .22 and was reaching for her .38 when she ran out of bullets in the .22 and the guy left the same way he got in -...

New Knicks big man Joakim Noah blocked out some time for some Q&A with Post columnist Steve Serby. [cut] Q: If you were president of the United States, you would … A: I would make it illegal to buy guns. Q: What are your views on what’s been happening this past week? A: This past week? … This past decade? Or this past … forever? My views haven’t really changed much. It’s just very sad what’s going on in this country. Not just the police brutality, that’s getting a lot of the headlines right now, but just kids killing kids,...

“Baton Rouge area Walmarts pull all firearms from stores in wake of (Black Lives Matter) protests,” Twitter user @romanichal_dad posted. “Halting LEGAL SALES,” he noted. The photo shows the gun cases are bare. The American Mirror phoned the Walmart Supercenter on N. Mall Drive to confirm the report.

Just a question: Should the police killings by people inspired by (or belonging to) Black Lives Matter be used as a justification to deprive law-abiding Americans of their gun rights, as Republicans now appear to be supporting? Or should we conservatives instead tell everyone to take a deep breath and first have the administration show that they're willing to deal with Black Lives Matter as a terrorist group, as they should have been dealt with practically from the start? After that, then we can discuss what, if any steps, need to be taken to cut down on mass killings.
  • Antique SKS rifle used by Dallas Killer (No Ar-15 used)

Initial reports from Dallas described multiple snipers with AR-15s #weaponsofwar. The ongoing propaganda theme among the tabloids is that the AR-15 has become the weapon of choice for terrorists and mass shooters. It turns out that the terrorist in Dallas question used an antique, the SKS, (according to CBS News) but the facts never keep the press from a good propaganda theme. The SKS was designed in the 40’s in Russia. It is such a basic rifle that it is legal in California with no modification. With its fixed ten round magazine, the SKS is everything that the gun haters...

Democrat Rep. G.K. Butterfield blamed Republicans for the five officers who were massacred by a racially motivated gunman in Dallas Thursday night. “The Republicans in Congress are refusing to address gun violence in America that targets black men and black women and Hispanic men and Hispanic women and, yes, even police officers,” Butterfield said while flanked by other members of the Congressional Black Caucus — just hours after five officers were shot and killed while trying to protect protestors who were rallying against police brutality....
  • Confirmed – Philando Castile Was an Armed Robbery Suspect

The Falcon Heights, Minnesota police shooting of Philando Castile is based around an entirely false narrative. Castile and Ms. Diamond Reynolds (Facebook video uploader) were pulled over by police because Castile matched a BOLO Alert for an armed robbery suspect from four days prior. Unfortunately, the false statements in the video – which have gone viral, and are being pushed by the mainstream media – have created a backlash against police officers.

Authorities: Tennessee highway gunman motivated by police shootings A man accused of shooting indiscriminately at passing cars and police on a Tennessee highway told investigators he was angry about police violence against African-Americans, authorities said Friday. One woman died and three others, including one police officer, were injured in the rampage. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said in a news release that initial conversations with the suspect, 37-year-old Lakeem Keon Scott, revealed he was troubled by several incidents across the U.S. Scott, who is black, was wounded in the shootout with police, remains hospitalized and has not yet been charged....

In Texas, 1 million people have handgun permits Sheena McKenzie At a protest against police violence in Dallas, a young man wanders the streets with a gun casually slung over his shoulder. The hefty weapon hangs all the way from his hip to his ankle, apparently barely raising the eyebrows of passersby. A few hours after the Dallas shooting, local police posted a photo of the man on Twitter, saying: "This is one of our suspects. Please help us find him!" Videos later emerged online purportedly showing the man peacefully walking in the crowd during the shooting. The original tweet...
  • The Second Amendment was never meant for black people

The National Rifle Association is often eager to jump into heated debates about guns. In case after case and lawsuit after lawsuit, they have rushed to get involved—usually when people are defending their concealed carry and open carry gun rights. Those people are very often white. Yet the NRA has been silent in the wake of Wednesday’s police killing of Philando Castile, a black man who was also a licensed concealed carrier of a gun, even though his legal right to a weapon played a key role in his death. “He’s licensed, he’s carrying, so he’s licensed to carry,” Castile’s...

In a city awash in violence, where a homicide or two is reported every few days, Maj Toure believes more guns – in the hands of the right people – could help stem the bloodshed. “The good guys -- the people that want to be more informed, more responsible, that want to be card-carrying good guys and girls -- those are the people that we’re talking to,” said Toure, a North Philly native and rapper. It's a similar message to the one espoused by the powerful lobbyist the National Rifle Association, which responded to calls for stricter gun control laws...

On the heels of the San Bernardino massacre, where terrorists entered a gun-free zone to slaughter their unarmed victims, California Gov. Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown signed legislation making it more difficult for law-abiding Americans to defend themselves. In the liberal mind, that doesn’t matter. It’s “gun violence”, not gang violence or terrorist violence. So let’s pass laws that would not have prevented San Bernardino: The Democratic governor signed six bills Friday requiring gun owners to give up magazines holding more than 10 rounds and to undergo a background check before they can purchase ammunition, among other measures… Read more: http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2016/07/california_bites_the_bullet_with_background_checks.html#ixzz4Dk9BAJbu Follow...

Matt Damon praised Australia’s gun laws while promoting his latest gun-toting Jason Bourne film in that country. “You guys did it here in one fell swoop, and I wish that could happen in my country, but it’s such a personal issue for people that we cannot talk about it sensibly,” the diminutive star said while pandering his way through the former British prison colony. House GOP to Promote Muslim Brotherhood, Gun Control Agenda this Week Daniel Horowitz | July 05, 2016 In case you thought congressional Republicans would be infused with a fresh sense of constitutionalism, patriotism, and moral clarity on the heels of this Independence Day weekend, think again. House Republicans will continue their dyslexic response to Orlando by validating the Left’s entire premise regarding homeland security and guns. Last week, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas (A, 97%) conducted a hearing which revealed that the Department of Homeland Security, at the behest of Muslim Brotherhood organizations, is deleting critical counter-terrorism research that would have...

This 22-shot repeating air rifle is an original Girardoni military pattern rifle of the type used on the Lewis & Clark Expedition. It is a butt reservoir piece with a bore size of .462 caliber. Similar pieces were supplied by Bartolomeo Girardoni to the Austrian army circa 1780. As originally issued, each Girardoni air rifle had three detachable air reservoirs, each requiring about 1,500 strokes of a pump to completely pressurize the reservoir. Once filled to operating pressure (about 800 psi) the air rifle could fire up to 70 shots before the reservoir required replacing. A metal tube on the...
