Naked in a milky bathtub of floating rose petals, Madonna has declared coronavirus “the great equalizer” in a bizarre video that was blasted as “privileged” by many of her die-hard fans.

This is a pretty basic post. It covers a selection of micro-videos that I have collected involving Chinese weapons systems and their use and application. These are pretty short videos. If you want to obtain a more comprehensive study of these weapons systems perhaps you should go to Janes and check out the "official" published data. You-tube has some videos along these lines of course. Although, it's limited pickin's. As such, if you don't like what is provided herein you can go out to You-tube and see what they have to offer. It will be a little different from what...

Two Calgary women say they’ll never take another Associated Cab again after an incident Friday night with a driver in the Southland area. Mya McDonald first shared her outrage over Facebook after she wrote the man told her group that her friend “Brit” was too large to sit in the back seat. “He told my friend to sit in the back because she was smaller and the other bigger girl should sit in the front so that we could all fit in the back because (hand movements) she’s… y’know, fatter than all of you,” McDonald wrote.

We are witnessing the development of generations of self-absorbed citizens with grandiose infantile delusions of entitlement When my mother was getting on in years (She lived to see 90 and three great grandchildren) she said to me that she was glad that she was closer to death-she would not have to live to see the next generation! I must be getting on in years, too, because I can’t imagine what the West will look like in years to come. I have been listening to the comments and opinions expressed by and about the Millennials and the Snowflakes-yes you heard right-the...

[full title] “Look at the Tea Party: Some of the angriest, most hateful people on earth, and they’re backed by what they think is Scripture” Forgiveness has become a pursuit more important to me than almost anything. Because as I said in an old book, it’s not my strong suit. I always joke that I wasn’t one of those Christians who was heavily into forgiveness – that I was the other kind; that I was reform. But it’s so awful to be a person who doesn’t forgive; in my experience the willingness to change down deep always comes from the...
  • MOST INCREDIBLE STORY OF RESILIENCE EVER TO GRACE THE NYT

One day in the foreseeable future, high school students will no longer read Elie Wiesel's Night to learn of the incredible bounds of human resilience. They will instead read the memoir of Vanessa Csordas-Jenkins. They will read, and they will be inspired. Who is Vanessa Csordas-Jenkins, you might ask? Only the subject of the most harrowing story you will ever read in the New York Times. Csordas-Jenkins suffered indignities that no human being should ever have to suffer. And she did so with grace and dignity that only [can] be described as vintage Csordas-Jenkins. Our story begins with Ms. Csordas-Jenkins,...

The president has lost the means for Clinton-style triangulation. It’s almost enough to evoke sympathy: The entire journalistic world poring over President Obama’s post-election comments and applying a humility meter to his words, his facial expressions, and his mood. Does he get it? Is he sufficiently abashed by the voters’ rebuke? But just when you think the guy has suffered enough, he short-circuits your pity. Traveling in India, the president misinterpreted the comments of an Indian businessman in a way that reveals his tenacious self-worship. As Jake Tapper reported, Mr. Bhupendra Kansagra, founder of Spice Jet, greeted the president: “Welcome,...

Iranian groupie 'risks life' for book on bedding famous rockers A self-proclaimed "slut" from Iran may become the target of Muslim extremists after she penned a book about having sex with the world's most famous rockers. Roxana Shirazi, who lived in Tehran until she was 10, claims to have had sexual encounters with members of Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, Velvet Revolver, Papa Roach and Skid Row. Several editors and agents reportedly refused to work with her on the book, titled The Last Living Slut: Born in Iran, Bred Backstage, for fear of enraging the Muslim community. "I haven't attacked...

I month or two ago (maybe longer) I posted a thread on why I was leaving Free Republic. I was angry over a post that was pulled (which Jim very nicely re-posted). I took some heated comments, and some justifiably so. I registered with a couple of conservative websites, and I will maintain those registrations. But after comparing those other websites, along with a few others, I have come to the conclusion that I was wrong for threatening to leave and I wanted to make an apology for my actions to Jim and others who were angered or offended.

How can one make a case for running a government effectively when the candidate can’t even manage his own schedule? John Edwards has people scratching their heads in Iowa and everywhere else — because that’s all they can do when his campaign events are supposed to start: Like Bill Clinton and Jesse Jackson before him, Mr. Edwards nearly always runs late while campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination. He routinely begins events more than 45 minutes or even an hour past the scheduled starting time, keeping dozens or, lately, hundreds of people in jam-packed rooms awaiting his entrance. With the approach...

...Eight years earlier, he and I had met at a restaurant in Boston where we both worked late nights. We were each in the midst of deteriorating relationships and through our commiseration became close friends, confidants and eventually a couple. Our relationship was brief, intense and tumultuous, more addiction than love — a scalding hot bath that feels like comfort but in reality is scorching you. I think we both knew we were wrong for each other but didn’t care. We were young, lost and unmoored, each secretly terrified of the phrase, “your whole life ahead of you.” Depressed and...

If only it was the beginning of a media trend. Studio execs know that people from both sides of the political spectrum watch their shows. Considering the statistics, two-thirds of the country doesn't pay attention to politics, ever, so your actors are more likely to lose you money and advertisers when they spout off, then attract any net gain, (unless bad publicity is considered a gain). Just blacking out their inappropriate remarks helps keep attention on the actual show, not some self-important actors latest pet project. If the actor has a problem with that, go on the news and talk...

Contradictory messages about women's fertility are breeding like rabbits this week. In largely-Catholic Brazil, the government is subsidizing birth control pills so poor women can afford the contraceptive, despite a recent visit by Pope Benedict XVI, who mainly used his time to condemn abortion, contraception and sex outside marriage. In China, officials are rounding up rural, pregnant women and conducting forced abortions to enforce the mandatory one child policy. In Canada, on the other hand, I'm the problem. Thirty-something. Childless. And a threat to Canada's future economic well being. The nation's fertility rate has plummeted to 1.53 children per woman,...

George Clooney is convinced he ruined John Kerry's chances in the race for US president in 2004 - by snubbing an invitation and hurting his feelings. The Ocean's Twelve actor was one of several screen stars invited to ride on Kerry's election train, but it all went downhill for the Democrat when Clooney stayed away. He recalls: "Kerry asked me to ride on his train - he had a train going cross-country after he was nominated and some actors went on board. I called him and explained that I couldn't do it. I'd hurt him. I'd actually caused him harm...
