If You Spot Bigfoot, Should You Shoot Him? In the new Animal Planet reality TV show optimistically titled "Finding Bigfoot," a team of experts examines video of an alleged Sasquatch spotted in the Canadian Rockies. The video, shot by a man named Todd Standing, shows something large and dark, standing atop a wooded ridge and then ducking back behind a bush. It could pretty much be anything, and when the experts concluded that the subject was probably not a Bigfoot, Standing expressed his frustration: "No video is ever going to be evidence, ever. It's never going to be good enough…"...

OCHOPEE, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Bigfoot mating season is underway in the Florida Everglades and the furry, horny creature is out for blood. Dave Shealy, an RV park owner in Ochopee, Florida, is the leading researcher of the Skunk Ape, Bigfoot’s “smaller, smellier cousin.” He says there are seven to nine Skunk Apes currently living in the Everglades and right now is the best time to spot one because it’s their mating season. Lately, he’s heard lots of campers report strange sounds coming from the swamps. He figures it’s the Skunk Ape’s mating call, which sounds like a...

Has legendary creature visited South Georgia? VALDOSTA — Several Internet Web sites list the Withlacoochee River between Valdosta and Quitman as the scene of many of the most recent sightings of the legendary Skunk Ape. Figuring out how Brooks County became one of the most recent homes of the Skunk Ape may be as elusive as the creature described as being a smaller, smellier version of Bigfoot. Ask Brooks County Sheriff Mike Dewey if his office has handled any calls regarding Skunk Ape sightings, he says not in the year and four months since he’s taken office. And he cannot...

They have thermal imaging equipment, video cameras and microphones poised to capture the secrets...

The scene: the Everglades, mysterious in the darkness. Four college kids, armed only with a night-vision camera, trudge through a palmetto thicket, guided by a snake-booted man who claims to have had multiple encounters with the state's most elusive creature. They seek a half-man, half-simian, fully reeking legend known as the Skunk Ape. A curious rustling draws them closer. Nervous patter. Closer. What is making those sounds? Closer. Suddenly, a blinding flash, screams and . . . . This is not some cheesy monster movie. It's the real experience of Florida International University film students who spent months on the...

Sometimes in this world there are certain things we just can't explain. Ghost sightings, the loch ness monster, and what about big foot? Well, bigfoot, that's one we may be able to help you with. Did you know there have been over fifty bigfoot sightings in Georgia? In Coweta County, the site of the most recent sightings in Georgia, we spoke with locals as well as a bigfoot researcher to find out if bigfoot really is living among us. This video put bigfoot on the map. The 1967 video filmed by Roger Patterson in California brought the mythical beast to...

A Crypto-zoologist, someone who studies uncataloged animals such as skunk apes, accompanied a 6 News crew in Campbell County Wednesday. Myakka "skunk apes" have been spotted in the southeastern United States since the 1940's.
