Eric Williamson, from Springfield, Virginia, was brewing coffee in his kitchen when a woman and a seven-year-old boy walked past the window and saw him. The woman complained to police who arrested Williamson shortly after the incident on Monday morning. Williamson, 29, insisted he did nothing wrong and that any exposure of his private parts were accidental. "Yes I wasn't wearing any clothes but I was alone, in my own home and just got out of bed. It was dark and I had no idea anyone was outside looking in at me," he said. Williamson, who has a five-year-old daughter,...

Anyone else having difficulty displaying foxnew.com/politics articles using Firefox,Safari or Camino? All of these browsers use the Google tool to block reported attack sites and web forgeries. Turning off that "feature" allows me to display the text of the article after relaunching the browser. Turning that "feature" on prevents the text from being displayed. Only the header is displayed. This has been happening for 3 weeks and I'm slowly testing other browsers. It would help if others would do the same. It would be great to record the browser name, version, and web page link so we can try to...

Howdy all, I'm a long-time lurker, occasional poster here on FR. I’ve always enjoyed the good articles, lively debate and excellent resources for conservatives here, so I’m taking the liberty of bringing a slight “issue” to y’all to see what you think. Recently (around the start of summer, about two months ago) my younger sister (aged 22) started talking about a young man she’d met in one of her Communications classes. She said he was very nice, handsome, smart, and it was obvious that she was starting to take an interest in him. About a month ago, they went out...

Sirens as watchmen I have sent you , So now America what will you do ?! Prophets , Apostles yet to you ordinary men , Spiritual Sampsons you refuse to call friend , So why should I come now to set you free ?!? , For if you refuse my servants you deny Me ! Your wastefullness of time has come to bear , And now on My threshing floor you are found naked and bare , So tell me what shall be your demise ? Oneness and Unity or your haughty eyes ?! For your heart is what I...

An open records request by Palin-obsessed Alaskan Andree McLeod has uncovered the shocking revelation that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin uses a device known as the “telephone.” Records show that Palin not only uses this device to accept two-way voice communication – known as “calls” – from others, she also uses the “telephone” to, in fact, initiate voice contact with third parties in other locations ...

Stoned wallabies causing crop circles Tasmanian wallabies are getting stoned on the state's opium poppy crops and creating crop circles. Things are really hopping in Tasmania where wallabies are getting stoned on the state's opium poppy crops and creating crop circles. The wallabies are breaking into the poppy fields and making the circles while they're high. Rick Rockliff from Tasmanian Alkaloids says wildlife and livestock which eat the poppies are known to act weird, and he's told the Hobart Mercury there's been many stories about sheep eating the poppies and then walking around in circles. Tasmania is the world's largest...

How to tell if you've been FReeping too longIf some, many or all of the following apply to you, you probably have been FReeping too long. You remember when you had to know basic HTML in order to form a decent post. You remember when the entire thread had to be 86’d in order to remove a single post. You remember when if someone forgot to close their italics, bold tags, the entire thread after that point was in bold or italics. Residents Say They're Terrorized By Pit Bulls Posted: 6:16 pm EDT May 1, 2009Updated: 6:33 pm EDT May 1, 2009 SANFORD, Fla. -- Some Sanford homeowners say they're being terrorized by their neighbor's pit bulls. One of the dogs has already attacked a neighbor near Lily Court in Sanford. Eyewitness News has learned the dogs' owners are not keeping their fence secure. Some of the breaks in the fence are big enough for an adult to easily climb through. After many calls to animal control, neighbors say they want the fence fixed once and for all. "Chasing children, attacking children....

BURBANK, Calif. – President Barack Obama has told Jay Leno he was stunned when he learned of the bonuses that bailed-out insurance giant AIG was paying its employees. Obama told "The Tonight Show" host the payments raise moral end ethical problems — and the administration's going to do everything it can to get them back. But Obama added the bigger problem is the culture that allowed traders to claim them. He says that's got to change if the economy is to recover.

There has always been a desire to maintain credibility and integrity on Free Republic. That is eroding with each new, Obama, birth certificate story. Many of those creating this ruckus claim are flying a false flag of Constitutionality when it is actually an effort to paint all Conservatives with the broad brush of conspiratorialism of the most dangerous kind. Thank you.

Whoever out there on the BangList group is adding the keyword 'banglist' to all these non-RKBA related threads, knock it off. So far, we've got banglist pings going out on all sorts of irrelevant threads such as any mention of Congressman Henry Waxman taking over a chairmanship from Rep. Dingell and those where Obama's CHANGE.ORG website defines anyone making over $100k as 'the rich'. These are not RKBA issues no matter how you try to justify some tenuous link. Whoever is doing it, stop putting 'banglist' into every little thread that captures your attention for whatever reason. This ping list...

Scientific Scenario Of A Comet's Impact With Earth And The "Wormwood Star" Prophecy by Marshall Beeber An Introduction In the First Century AD, the Apostle John wrote an apocalyptic book called "Revelation" in which he described among many "end-time" events the collision of a star called Wormwood with Earth. Revelation states: Rev. 8:10-11: The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water-- the name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people...

Anyone have a stungun or tazer story? I recently purchased a new stun gun for my wife, and instead of the standard 300,000-650,000 volt guns, I purchased the 1 million volt model. Well, I took a page out of my military training and decided that we should test it out so we truly know what it will do. Like getting gassed in basic training and getting hammered by a puke laser in Afghanistan, I vounteered to do the deed. My wife really did not want to do it, or so she stated, but I talked her into it quite easily....

The US federal government on Wednesday said it would open 3.9m acres of land in a designated petroleum reserve in Alaska for drilling as a means to help curb rising petrol prices. “This is welcome news at a time when Americans are paying record prices at the pump,” said C. Stephen Allred, assistant US Secretary for Land and Minerals. “Together with proposed new production from other offshore and onshore areas, these increased supplies will help to stabilise energy costs.’’ The Alaska decision follows one by President George W. Bush on Monday to lift a presidential ban on drilling on the US outer...

Over the past several days, the only real movement in South Carolina’s Republican Presidential Primary has been a four-point gain for Fred Thompson and a five-point decline for Mike Huckabee. The big winner from that trade-off is John McCain. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey shows McCain at 28%, Huckabee at 19%, Mitt Romney at 17%, and Fred Thompson at 16%. Rudy Giuliani and Ron Paul are tied with 5% support. Giuliani is betting his entire campaign on a strong showing in Florida, where he is now tied for the lead with three others....

Hannity & Colmes was another Romney infomercial tonight. Hannity carried Romney over 3 commercial breaks. It is amazing when you contrast the gentle treatment Fox gives Romney when you contrast it with Huckabee. They don't pull any punches when Huckabee is on. They slam him with accusations but do it by saying "so and so says this about you, how are you going to respond to them when they accuse you of this?" LOL! They do this day and night on Fox and on radio and they had the audacity to question Huckabee for showing the media an ad he...

There is an unwritten rule in politics, especially WITHIN the Republican Party that the candidates don't come out and speak over one another. I am not a McCain supporter as I see him as just as liberal as Giuliani. However, I was looking forward to HEARING John McCain make his concession speech. About 90 SECONDS after McCain came out to speak, Romney comes out to interrupt McCain's speech obviously to quell any positive that might come out of McCain's concession. This guy is way to slimey.

Mississippi Sen. Trent Lott announced Monday he will leave a 35-year career in Congress in which he epitomized the Republicans' political takeover of the South after the civil rights struggles of the 1960s. Another Mid-South legislator, Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., said later Monday he would not seek Lott's position as minority whip after a spokesman had said earlier that Alexander was considering it.In stepping down, Lott said he wanted to leave on a "positive note" after winning re-election last year to a leadership post and fostering legislation for rebuilding the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina. The announcement caught many by...

Some of the guys and I are presently at the camping lodge and we’ve got a problem that requires the help of a sensible woman. My brother-in-law managed to get something in his hair this morning, and he wanted to wash it out. I can’t tell you what that something was, because he’s refused to divulge that to us thus far (I suspect that he fabricated the “tainted hair” theory to save himself some embarrassment.) My brother-in-law believes that his wife has, at some point, told him that peanut butter is a useful household hair cleaner / conditioner. His wife...

Moose are making a comeback in New York state, according to state officials. There are roughly 500 moose, all of them in northern New York, up from an estimated 50-100 a decade earlier. In the 1980s, there were only a handful of sporadic sightings, said the state Department of Environmental Conservation. Moose populations in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and Canada have steadily increased, and many have migrated into New York, said Chuck Dente, a big-game biologist with the DEC. He said much of the growth in recent years is due to reproduction, not just migration. "We are now receiving numerous...

We've received many requests from freepers requesting that other freepers not post to them. There are several problems with this. 1. It's impossible for us to enforce.2. We don't have the time to enforce these requests.3. We don't have the software to keep track of these requests.4. Thick skin helps.5. Ignore the poster, if you don't reply, they won't reply. Free Republic does not need a bozo filter, bozo filters are for wimps. I often wondered what exactly makes a FReeper a FReeper? Is it the simple act of reading articles on FR? Do you have to post articles or replies? To call yourself a FReeper do you need to engage in effective activism like writing letters to politicians, getting out in the street to carry signs, or, is being a FReeper an attitude. If so, what attitude is that? Knock yourself out.
