(IsraelNN.com) “John McCain's decision to select a vice presidential running mate that endorsed Pat Buchanan for President in 2000 is a direct affront to all Jewish Americans. Pat Buchanan is a Nazi sympathizer with a uniquely atrocious record on Israel, even going as far as to denounce bringing former Nazi soldiers to justice and praising Adolf Hitler" Jewish US Congressman Robert Wexler criticized John McCain’s Friday announcement of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate, saying that it is an insult to Jews. Wexler, an ultra-left representative from Florida, cited Palin's endorsement of Pat Buchanan - whom Wexler called...

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama's first Hollywood fundraiser was co-hosted by a supporter of the terrorists in Iraq. The Hollywood bibleVariety reported that Code Pink's Jodie Evans co-hosted the Obama event with her ex-husband Max Palevsky and Dreamworks partners Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen in February 2007.In 2005 while attending the World Trbunal on Iraq in Istanbul, Evans gushed approvingly of the terrorists in Iraq in a statement originally published on the Code Pink website:"We must begin by really standing with the Iraqi people and defending their right to resist. I can remain myself against all forms...

Does 'the decider' decide on war? Posted: May 30, 2007 1:00 a.m. Eastern Has Congress given George Bush a green light to attack Iran? For he is surely behaving as though it is his call alone. And evidence is mounting that we are on a collision course for war. * Iran has detained several Iranian-Americans, seemingly in retaliation for our continuing to hold five Iranians in Iraq. * The U.N. nuclear watchdog agency, the International Atomic Energy Agency, says Iran is making progress in the enrichment of uranium and denying it access to Iran's nuclear sites. * Bush is calling...

The Navy lawyer who led a successful Supreme Court challenge of the Bush administration's military tribunals for detainees at Guantanamo Bay has been passed over for promotion and will have to leave the military, The Miami Herald reported Sunday. Lt. Cmdr. Charles Swift, 44, will retire in March or April under the military's "up or out" promotion system. Swift said last week he was notified he would not be promoted to commander. He said the notification came about two weeks after the Supreme Court sided with him and against the White House in the case involving Salim Ahmed Hamdan, a...

Want to know where the Democratic Party stands and where America would be under their leadership? Just ask Jimmy Carter. Carter is certainly not bashful about bashing the United States, even on foreign soil or to the foreign press. He sat for an interview with Der Spiegel recently and fired with both barrels at President Bush, "fundamentalist" Christians and Israel. But do Carter's views represent those of the Democratic Party? Well, he sure seems to think so. He told Der Spiegel, "I think I represent the vast majority of Democrats in this country." If so, that's scary. Expanding on the...

CHICAGO - A federal judge Wednesday denied prosecutors' request to seat an anonymous jury in the trial of a Bridgeview, Ill., man charged with funneling money to the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas. U.S. District Judge Amy St. Eve ruled that prosecutors failed to show Muhammad Salah and his co-defendant Abdelhaleem Ashqar, of Virginia, are likely to intimidate or harass jurors. "(T)he mere invocation of the word `terrorism,' without more, is insufficient to warrant such an anonymous jury," St. Eve wrote in a ruling released Wednesday. Salah's attorney, Michael Deutsch, called the ruling a small but significant step toward a fair...

Five supreme Court justices left President George W Bush's policy on Guantanamo Bay in chaos last week but it was a diligent career navy officer who plotted the legal downfall of his commander-in-chief. Lt Cdr Charles Swift, 44, an experienced military defence attorney, was expected to draft a simple plea bargain after prosecutors requested the appointment of a lawyer to represent Osama bin -Laden's driver in 2003. Instead, he launched a series of ground-breaking legal challenges that ended with the ruling by America's highest court that the military commissions backed by Mr Bush for international terrorism suspects were unlawful. "As...

Breaking - Jill Carrol released in Iraq - more to come

Why is Jill Carroll dressed as an Iraqi Muslim female in her interviews with the press? Better yet, why does not some reporter ask her the same question? Something does not seem right. But what do I know sitting at my computer 8,000 miles away?

Country superstar Dolly Parton was thrilled when Yusuf Islam agreed to collaborate with her on her new covers album because she wanted to show fans he's a "really sweet man." Parton has been a longtime friend and fan of the folk icon, formerly Cat Stevens, and was horrified when she learned he had been refused entry to America last year. Islam was turned back when his name appeared on a mysterious list of potential terrorist sympathisers. He has been fighting the humiliating immigration mess ever since. And, by including him on her new album, Those Were The Days, patriotic Parton...

When The New York Times, “Nightline,” and CNN nominate a young blonde for sainthood ahead of the Pope, it’s time for a reality check. Especially when that blonde, Marla Ruzicka’s sole purpose is to legitimize our enemies, cause problems for U.S. troops already in harms way, and morally equivocate dead terrorists with victims of 9/11. Jane Fonda lite—but unfortunately without having been spat upon by right-thinking veterans. The recent death of Ruzicka, an American “activist” in Iraq, elicited an orgy of gush—everywhere from Time Magazine to The Guardian of London to Al-Jazeera. A 28-year-old San Franciscan, Ruzicka was in Iraq...

A Yemeni immigrant who was discharged from the U.S. Air Force after expressing sympathy for Osama bin Laden following the Sept. 11 attacks faces trial next week on accusations of lying to land a job as an airport screener. Sadeq Naji Ahmed, 25, a former airman at Eglin Air Force Base in Pensacola, Fla., faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted of making false statements on a questionnaire to get a job with the Transportation Security Administration at Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

Who Should Apologize to Whom? Amir Taheri — Where is the country that Bill Clinton, a former president of the United States, feels ideologically most at home? Before you answer, here is the condition that such a country must fulfill: It must hold several consecutive elections that produce 70 percent majorities for “liberals and progressives.” Well, if you thought of one of the Scandinavian countries or, perhaps, New Zealand or Canada, you are wrong. Believe it or not, the country Bill Clinton so admires is the Islamic Republic of Iran. Here is what Clinton said at a meeting on the...

Sometimes you learn the most about a product, or an ideology, not by who is trying to sell it, but rather by the type of consumers who enjoy its consumption. Earlier this week, Jeremy Reynolds, known for his exposure of multiple radical Islamist websites, revealed a "White supremacist groups extension of friendship and support to terrorist groups on their websites. He quotes the Aryan Nations "national director" saying, "We as an organization will also endeavor to aid all those who subvert, disrupt and are (sic) malignant in nature to our enemies. Therefore I offer my most sincere best wishes to...

Last night our final entry for the evening was a story at ArabNews about some shocking comments about Iran made by Bill Clinton during a conversation with Charlie Rose at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Many readers questioned the veracity of the ArabNews report (by Amir Taheri); I also mentioned in my post that it was a little hard to believe. Well, it was absolutely true. LGF operative zombie has located the audio recording of former President Clinton's remarks; he has a full transcript of the section covered by Amir Taheri's article here: Clinton Speaking About Iran at...

Is this for real? I don't know how I could have missed it. But apparently Eason Jordan's slander of American soldiers in Iraq wasn't the dumbest thing said in Davos last month. Amir Taheri writes that first in Davos, then in a subsequent television interview, former President Bill Clinton expressed solidarity with the mullahs who rule Iran: Here is what Clinton said at a meeting on the margins of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, just a few weeks ago: “Iran today is, in a sense, the only country where progressive ideas enjoy a vast constituency. It is there...

A senior Clinton administration national security official offered a stunning admission this week, confessing during a national television interview that Democrats are secretly rooting for the Bush administration's war of terrorism to fail. In comments largely overlooked by the mainstream press, former Clinton National Security Council member Nancy Soderberg discussed the recent outbreak of democracy in the Middle East with "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart. "As a Democrat, you don't want anything nice to happen to the Republicans, and you don't want them to have progress," Soderberg observed, before quickly adding, "But as an American, you hope good things would...

The Presbyterian Church, USA, has joined End the Occupation, a coalition that includes several organizations that endorse terrorism. Within the last twelve months, PCUSA delegations have twice met with Hezbollah, a listed terrorist organization. Although leaders of the PCUSA have issued formal statements repudiating terrorism, they have sometimes admitted to having difficult recognizing it. In his 2004 Christmas message, PCUSA Moderator Rev. Rick Ufford-Chase wrote: "It's increasingly difficult to distinguish between… the victims of terrorist attacks or well-executed military campaigns… the United States or Osama Bin Laden...." By joining End the Occupation, the Presbyterian Church places itself in close alliance...

"...According to Scheuer, the tiny nation of Israel is not a valuable ally in the Middle East, but instead the author of a vast conspiracy to hijack the direction of American foreign policy. Scheuer explained to the CFR crowd that Israel dictates the course of its relationship with the United States. He explained, "we can no longer afford to be seen as the dog that's led by the tail." Scheuer further warned, "I don't think we can afford to be led around, or at least appear to be led around by them." So, not only has Israel "covertly" targeted the...

It should not be a revelation to anyone that University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill would write an essay that claims the murder of 3000 people on 9-11 was the result of American policies towards Iraq. He is a Baathist sympathizer and has been for a long time. Churchill was a member of the International Indian Treaty Council (IITC). This is the international diplomatic branch of the American Indian Movement (AIM). The IITC was founded in 1974 by AIM. By 1979, they established diplomatic relations with Saddam Hussein and his Baathist Party. This relationship proved to be profitable for them....

The votes have been cast – if not yet fully counted – and Sen. Edward M. Kennedy owes the brave people of Iraq a profound apology. Some 8 million Iraqis on Jan. 30 defied terrorists' threats of violence and death to cast their ballots for a more hopeful future than Mr. Kennedy was willing to grant them. In so doing, Iraqis, who hadn't voted in free elections in a half-century, gave the lie to the Massachusetts Democrat's nakedly partisan rant three days before the balloting that the war that made the voting possible was "a colossal failure, a continuing quagmire."...

Churchill met with Gadhafi Controversial prof set to make speech at Wisconsin school By Charlie Brennan And Laura Frank, Rocky Mountain News February 11, 2005 This is not the first time Ward Churchill has disagreed with the U.S. government's idea of who is, and is not, a terrorist. In April 1983, Churchill went to Libya to meet with Col. Moammar Gadhafi. The U.S. government had banned travel to Libya two years earlier, saying Gadhafi supported terrorism. Churchill traveled to Tripoli and Benghazi as a representative of the International Indian Treaty Council and the American Indian Movement. He went with Dace...

Remember Michael Scheuer? He's the former CIA analyst who penned an anonymous book called "Imperial Hubris" attacking the Bush administration's approach to terrorism. When we last saw him, in November, he was explaining to Tim Russert that American support for Israel is to blame for anti-American terrorism, and that Osama bin Laden is "in many ways . . . an admirable man."....

BAGHDAD, Iraq --- A day after Ted Kennedy called for surrender and the withdrawal of troops from Iraq, terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi praised Kennedy as a hero and tearfully claimed Kennedy is the only one who "gets us." "Finally, someone who understands us and our cause," said Zarqawi. "He gets us. He understands that American troops must leave Iraq in order for us to destroy democracy and create a terrorist state. He knows that America must not protect its borders or profile Muslims to keep out terrorists and prevent massive terror attacks. I knew Kennedy was a wise man. For...

Military Record Unlike McCain, Bush, and Gore, Kerry has adamantly refused to authorize the release of his military records. Most think it's because of his phony battle medals. I think the real reason is below. He was not granted an Honorable Discharge until March 2001, almost 30 years after his ostensible service term had ended! This is very much out of the ordinary, and highly suspect. There are 5 classes of Discharge: Honorable, General, Other Than Honorable, Bad Conduct, and Dishonorable. My guess is that he was Discharged in the '70s, but not Honorably. He appealed this sometime while Clinton...

The campaign of Senator John F. Kerry appears to have imploded. With almost two months left before the presidential election on Nov. 2, U.S. President George W. Bush is poised to win an election in which, given his extraordinary record of domestic and international failure, he should certainly have been defeated. Contrary to conventional wisdom in the American media, Kerry stands on the brink of failure not because of the Republican attacks against him, but because of his own incomprehensible strategic blunders. This is not to say that the spectacularly dishonest television campaign falsely impugning Kerry's Vietnam War record -...

Just six-months after Sept. 11 attacks, Teresa Heinz Kerry urged Americans to try to "understand the roots of international terror," while contending that the Sept. 11 attacks were best viewed an "isolated catastrophe." In a March 10, 2002 Boston Globe op-ed piece co-written with the late children's TV star Fred Rogers, the would-be first lady said: "We pray that one day we will view Sept. 11 as an isolated catastrophe, triggering a successful world campaign to try to understand the roots of international terror as well as to work cooperatively to remove it." The rest of the Heinz Kerry editorial...

The Today show’s “Where in the World is Matt Lauer?” sweeps month ratings gimmick brought Lauer to Moscow’s Red Square on Thursday where he repeatedly pressed Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov to trash the Bush administration’s foreign policy. Lauer asked: “Was Russia right and were the Americans wrong?" on WMD in Iraq and, "Do you think the credibility of the United States and this particular administration has been damaged internationally in this last year?" Not all have succeeded in Russia’s semi-free enterprise economy, but virtually all have more personal, political and religious freedom, yet Lauer suggested many were better off...

In a move that seems certain to outrage the US administration, one of the Pope's most senior officials yesterday expressed "pity" and "compassion" for Saddam Hussein, and warned that his capture might do more harm than good. Cardinal Renato Martino, head of the pontifical council for justice and peace and the equivalent of a minister in the Catholic church's "government", was speaking at the presentation in Rome of a message from the Pope in which, among other things, he included a coded reminder to the world that the invasion of Iraq had been carried out without UN backing. Cardinal Martino,...
