Does the mayor of New York not read the newspapers? Watch the news? Receive briefings from his public health department? Here we have the Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH) investigating 15 cases of Legionnaires Disease issuing a Health Advisory -- warning the public of the risk of infection. An infection which is on the increase along the Atlantic states. “What is Legionnaires’ disease; Legionnaires’ disease (LEE-juh-nares) is caused by a type of bacteria called Legionella. It appears that this administration and Republicans are going ahead with a request to have the Supreme Court rule on obamacare early in 2012. You have to ask yourself, "why would this administration want to pursue a ruling on his signature piece of legislation," if...if they didn't have some sort of ace up their sleeve. This administration is perceived as weak and losing steam -- Why, why would they push for this. We know why the Republicans are pushing for this, we have the votes and the legislation is un-Constitutional it will get defeated. We know this! But why is...

To hear politicians, you’d think if Washington didn’t shield helpless citizens from corporate depredations many an innocent life would be ruined. But businesses aren’t enemies conniving to exploit hapless workers and extract unwarranted profits. Businesses work feverishly developing products consumers desire. Companies not only sell us ways to beautify and improve life, they also offer the means empowering us to acquire such articles: employment. Markets serve the interests of others, by seeking one’s own advancement. Profits accumulate when customers fancy our output. We gain by serving our neighbors. Whether a company builds what customers willingly purchase, or workers sell their...

[snip] This year, Republican presidential candidates are aggressively courting the movement's eager-to-work followers and trying to tap into their influential social and fundraising networks. Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, the founder of the House of Representatives Tea Party Caucus, and other diehard conservatives are already activists' favorites. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman are not; they're perceived as too moderate and compromising. But in his economic blueprint, released last week, Romney lauded the movement, saying, "The rise of the tea party is a classic instance of the self-correcting forces of American democracy...

That definition has now been added to UrbanDictionary.com, and with your help, it can be "thumbed-up" to the top-ranking position. Left-wingers succeeded in labeling Bush as a "failure." I shared with Felix that for years I performed my original song, “Celebrate America”, at U.S. Immigration Citizenship Ceremonies. I was struck by the number of seniors tearfully taking the oath of citizenship; some so old they were in wheelchairs and some needing support by family members to stand. Why was it important for these seniors to become official U.S. citizens despite their ages? Felix, formerly a Russian, replied, “When you have lived...

I'm often asked why we're not organizing another Taxpayer March on Washington this September 12th. Why, after more than a million Americans protested on 9/12/2009 and 9/12/2010, aren't we headed back to Washington? The reason is simple: we're not just a protest movement anymore. This movement has had stages. We began as a protest movement against big government in 2009, morphed into America's most powerful get-out-the-vote machine in 2010, and pushed for transformative legislative change to rein in government in 2011.

The names that conservatives have been called over the last few weeks, culminating in the last few days, would be shocking, if you expected anything more from liberals. I don't. Never have, never will. We have been called terrorists, jihadists, racists, extortionists, bigots, hostage takers, suicide bombers. I can go on and on. Even our Vice President, Joe Biden, jumped into the fray. It is reported that he said, in support of another Democrat's statement, that the Republicans "...acted like terrorists." He denies he used the word 'terrorist', but even if he agreed with the statement, he looks foolish. Ironic,...

National Tea Party leaders in California were thrilled about one by-product of the political bloodbath over raising the federal debt ceiling: The fight showed that after two years of rabble-rousing from outside the Capitol, the Tea Party has real power to shape the debate in Washington. Their challenge now that President Obama has signed the debt limit law: Can the Tea Party transform its government-shrinking mantra into long-term power, or will it be a one-hit wonder? They're not stopping to think about it. This month, Tea Partiers will storm town hall meetings of Republican and Democratic members of Congress and...

Earlier this week the media reported that Vice President Joe Biden called Tea Party members "terrorists."  After an explosion of criticism from many camps, Biden clumsily tried to explain that he himself never called Tea Party supporters "terrorists" but that he merely agreed with a Democrat Senator who had made the smear.Bottom line:  Joe Biden obviously despises the Tea Party movement and the impact we are having on this country. Now you have a chance to help us make Joe Biden rather unhappy.  If he was frustrated by the influence of the Tea Party movement in debt talks, just wait...

The black-led South Central L.A. Tea Party (whose motto is "Power to the People") is reportedly planning a protest against the NAACP at the organization's 102nd annual convention in Los Angeles on July 24. The group is headed up by the Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, president of BOND Action (the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny). Black Tea Partiers' specific gripes about the civil rights organization include that it's been "spreading lies" about racism in the Tea Party movement and promoting "black genocide" through its support of Planned Parenthood. "The NAACP is a tool of the Obama administration,” Peterson said....
