(please note, this article is NOT from the Onion) Early in February, the satirical news publication The Onion published a story about Elon Musk, titled, ďElon Musk Offering $1.2 Billion in Grants to Any Project That Promises to Make Him Feel Complete.Ē (please see the full article, at the link)

Hillary Clinton is still "bitter" over President Donald Trump's electoral victory, a body language expert told, and the photos of her "going through the motions" at his inauguration on Friday are the proof! "This was clearly a hard day for Hillary," expert Lillian Glass told Radar. "And it showed in both her her facial language and body language.""When we first see Bill and Hillary waiting for their turn to enter the stage, Hillary looks tense and there is a lot of upset in her facial expression," Glass told Radar. "There is a great deal of tension around her mouth....

A close and ó to pundits, journalists, and Democrats ó unexpected victory like Republican presidential candidate Donald Trumpís is always overdetermined, and no one particular thing pushed Trump over the edge on Tuesday night. His chosen partyís lately increasing openness to explicit white nationalism, the still-recent global-scale failure of the liberal economic consensus, the apparently deep-seated misogyny and racism of the American electorate, Hillary Clintonís multiple shortcomings as a candidate, or even the last-minute intervention of FBI director James Comey might each have been, on its own, sufficient to hand the election to a man who is, by any reckoning,...

I’ve heard a lot of predictions about the outcome of the GOP primary this week, but to say that there’s some sort of consensus forming would be a bit of an exaggeration to put it mildly. Echoing the sentiments of some of the guests on the cable news morning shows, Lawnewz said that Trump still wins the whole thing once he gets to wrangle for a few missing delegates coming into Cleveland. At the same time, Ted Cruz backer Scott Walker said that the Texas Senator is now set up to take it on the second ballot. And of course...

Many news outlets covered Univision Communications' purchase last week of a stake in The Onion, the world's leading news publication. According to NPR, Univision bought a 40 percent controlling interest in the company, and also acquired the option to buy the remainder of The Onion in the future. But what's gotten no attention at all is that Haim Saban, Hillary Clinton's biggest fan and financial supporter, is Univision's co-owner and chairman. Saban and his wife, Cheryl, are Hillary Clinton's top financial backers, having given $2,046,600 to support her political campaigns and at least $10 million more to the Clinton Foundation,...

Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump is reportedly in the running to receive the 2016 Nobel Peace Prize. Despite the billionaire’s controversial call to ban all Muslims from entering the United States, which drew international backlash, Trump earned the nomination for the award because of his tough stance on terrorism and other security threats, according to Nobel watcher Kristian Berg Harpviken, director of the Peace Research Institute of Oslo. Harpviken said the nominating letter he received outlined why Trump deserved the award. Supporters wrote that the real estate mogul deserved the prize because of “his vigorous peace through strength ideology, used...

Univision Communications Inc., the parent company to the nation's leading Spanish-language broadcast channel, has acquired a controlling stake in the satirical news site The Onion, NPR has learned. The agreement between two seemingly disparate media outfits was described to NPR by a person with direct involvement in the negotiations. A second person who was briefed on the deal by Univision executives also confirmed its broad strokes. The amount of money involved in the deal was not disclosed. NPR has also obtained a memo from the CEO of The Onion announcing the deal to staffers.

Youíve probably heard the old statistical theory that if you gave a million monkeys typewriters that they'd eventually pound out the complete works of Shakespeare. Now we know, thanks to the Internet, that this isn't true. The evidence can be seen by anyone who spends any time on Facebook, where sentient intelligence seems to have been replaced by boring insipid images. How can the Onion and satire possibly survive when what is really happening in Obamaís America is funnier and more satirical than anything that publication can come up with? Is the concept of satire as portrayed in such publications as the Onion dead? Well, if satire is not dead it is surely on its last legs, at least in the United States. With what is taking place in the world today, especially in the United States under the leadership of B. Hussein Obama, it is difficult to see how the concept of satire can possibly survive. It is not unknown...

The headline of this post might not be completely honest. Indeed, if you asked me to grade the accuracy of my title, Iíll admit right away that it falls into the ďif you like your plan, you can keep your planĒ category of mendacity. But Iím only prevaricating to set the stage for some satire about Keynesian economics. But this satire is based on a very bizarre reality. WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Besieged by unflattering stories about the launch of President Barack Obama's healthcare program, the White House saw a news report that it wanted to swiftly knock down. It was from NBC, which said that Obama had overpromised when he said Americans who liked their insurance could keep it, and that the president knew that many people would see their coverage change. White House officials quickly began firing off a barrage of tweets on Twitter, which has become one of the administration's most potent and relied-upon weapons in trying to shape public opinion and media reports.
