A man calling himself WIld Bill described his support for Israel in a video that is going viral. ..... "So in the traditional Muslim style, they sent in massive armies to massacre the Jews and steal their land. But the Israelis stomped the living doogy-doo out of them and sent the Arabs fleeing back across the border like a bunch of whipped puppy dogs. And they've been afraid of the Israelis ever since. In this bar fight at one of Key West's most famous watering holes, it wasn't a spilled drink or sleazy advance on someone's wife that led to blows. According to the police report, a fight broke out between two couples this week when someone, who Friday remained unidentified, allegedly broke wind inside Sloppy Joe's, 201 Duval St."The argument was due to someone farting," police were told by a man who went to the hospital for a dislocated shoulder after the scrap. We’re going to close our live coverage with a summary of Barack Obama’s second and last day in Havana, on the first presidential visit to Cuba since Fidel Castro’s revolution took over the island in 1959. “I have come here to bury the last remnant of the cold war in the Americas,” Obama told Cuban leaders and citizens in a nationally televised address. “I know the history, but I refuse to be trapped by it,” he said. “It is time for us to look forward together. Un futuro de esperanza.”

I hired a plumber to help me restore an old farmhouse, and after he had just finished a rough first day on the job: a flat tire made him lose an hour of work, his electric drill quit and his ancient one ton truck refused to start. While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands. When opening the door he underwent an amazing transformation.. His...

Three officers opened fire Sunday night on the carjacking suspect, identified by the local coroner's office as Andre Green, because they felt threatened as he accelerated the car toward them, said Assistant Police Chief Lloyd Crowe. Global Warming? The Pope is Wrong April 27, 2015 Alan Caruba My thoughts regarding the Pope are rooted in my knowledge of the long record of lies, false predictions, and claims by various environmentalists over the years. When the Vatican announced it would hold a conference on April 28 called “Protect the Earth, Dignify Humanity: The Moral Dimensions of Climate Change and Sustainable Development”, I wondered why the Vatican is not holding a conference to organize the protection of Christians—particularly in the Middle East—against the wholesale genocide that is occurring. The footage shows a black-clad jihadist standing over a Kurdish soldier who, in a sickening climax to the video, has his head cut off. The Energy Information Administration (EIA) released its International Energy Outlook 2013 on July 25, reporting that global energy demand will grow by 56 percent between 2010 and 2040. According to EIA, most of this growth will come from the developing countries where strong economic growth is driving additional energy demand. EIA estimates that China and India will account for half of the world’s increase in energy consumption through 2040. China, for example, used 3.4 percent more energy than the United States in 2010, but is expected to double U.S. energy demand by 2040. Further, while nuclear and renewable energy are...

Why is Justice blindfolded? I am speaking of the allegorical Justice, also known as “Lady Justice.” She is usually represented holding a balance and sword, the former symbolizing fairness and the latter her power. Altogether, she represents the moral authority of law, or rather, that the law ought to observe morality. She is also blindfolded. The blindfold represents the impartiality of Justice, that she is subject neither to prejudice nor influence. The second one – influence – is most significant in terms of our discussion.

I have a 5-6 year old A45 Toshiba Satellite. I recently replaced the main fan to get it running again.(and added memory while it was apart) It worked for a month and now it's acting like it's overheating again. This time it give me a quick blue screen with something on it I can't read (because it disappears too fast) and starts automatically rebooting. It will keep doing this until I power it off. any suggestions? (yes, I know I should get a newer computer, but can't afford it now) I'd at least like to figure out how to keep it...

The colorful former Mayor of San Francisco (no need to add the "D" here) and Speaker of the California State Assembly is spot on. The Democrats are in trouble. Sarah Palin has totally changed the dynamics of this campaign. Period. Palin's speech to the GOP National Convention on Wednesday has set it up so that the Republicans are now on offense and Democrats are on defense. And we don't do well on defense. Suddenly, Palin and John McCain are the mavericks and Barack Obama and Joe Biden are the status quo, in a year when you don't want to be...

THE convention floor was abuzz all yes terday with the news of the CBS poll showing a dead tie (42-42) in the presidential race. And the poll, conducted through Wednesday, couldn't reflect the impact of John McCain's speech, or the full impact of Sarah Palin's late Wednesday night. It reflected opinions only after the Democrats' convention, Barack Obama's incredible speech, the Palin selection and the early, Gustav-depressed GOP gathering. That augers ill for the Democrats. Tonight's polling could bring evidence that the Obama candidacy is in big trouble. First, the GOP convention managed to disprove the central premise of the...

American psychologists have unearthed a “marital rating scale” used by marriage counsellors in 1939 to assess the performance of wives – and the categories make interesting reading for modern couples brought up to believe in the equality of the sexes. Women are awarded marks if they dress for breakfast, ask their husband’s opinions on important decisions and let their partners sleep late on Sundays and holidays.....

CNN just reported Childers beat Davis. Dick Cheney campaigned for the Republican candidate in that district. GOP ran commercials tying Democrat to Obama and Reverend Wright. Thrid straight special Election where long held GOP seat is lost. This in MISSISSIPPI. WOW! This is not good news by any means.

BAGHDAD - Muqtada al-Sadr is considering setting aside his political ambitions and restarting a full-scale fight against U.S.-led forces — a worrisome shift that may reflect Iranian influence on the young cleric and could open the way for a shadow state protected by his powerful Mahdi Army. A possible breakaway path — described to The Associated Press by Shiite lawmakers and politicians — would represent the ultimate backlash to the Iraqi government's pressure on al-Sadr to renounce and disband his Shiite militia. By snubbing the give-and-take of politics, al-Sadr would have a freer hand to carve out a kind of...

BBC in more trouble over edited pieces By Patrick Phelvin , Sunday Telegraph Last Updated: 5:14pm BST 15/07/2007 The BBC was involved in a fresh row about doctored footage yesterday after it admitted mixing up the chronology of a documentary about Gordon Brown. Just days before Director General Mark Thompson is hauled before the BBC Trust to explain the royal fiasco, it emerged that the sequence of a Newsnight film had also been altered. The Treasury has complained to the corporation that the 12-minute piece, on attempts by documentary-maker Jamie Campbell to secure an interview with Brown during the leadership...
