    Washington Post ^ | Tuesday, March 25, 8:41 PM | Amy Goldstein
The Obama administration has decided to give extra time to Americans who say that they are unable to enroll in health-care plans through the federal insurance marketplace by the March 31 deadline. Federal officials confirmed Tuesday evening that all consumers who have begun to apply for coverage on HealthCare.gov, but who do not finish by Monday, will have until about mid-April to ask for an extension. Under the new rules, people will be able to qualify for an extension by checking a blue box on HealthCare.gov to indicate that they tried to enroll before the deadline. This method will rely...

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) —Letters have been sent to 900 people accused of drunken driving, notifying them that Orange County’s crime lab issued faulty blood test results. An audit of the Orange County Crime Lab at the beginning of October uncovered the mistakes, which affect about 200 DUI cases but will only clear the names of about 20 people, said Bruce Houlihan, the lab’s director. The errors began when some data weren’t properly saved, Houlihan said, adding that the lab uses two machines to analyze blood samples and averages the results. “Because of the size of the error, we didn’t actually...

However, the officials continue to refuse to say how many people have actually enrolled in the insurance markets. Without enrollment figures, it's unclear whether the program is on track.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani further distanced himself Thursday from his conservative predecessor Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, not only acknowledging but condemning the Holocaust. He was keen to add, however, that the Nazi's brutal massacre of the Jews should be viewed in a "separate" light to the current crisis facing the Middle East. "In principle, we and I condemn the massacre carried out by the Nazis in the World War II," Rouhani told Charlie Rose. "I'll also add that many groups were killed by the Nazis in the course of the war, Jews in specific, but there were also Christians, there were Muslims."...

TOPEKA – The State Objections Board brought the issue of President Barack Obama’s eligibility to be on Kansas ballots to a swift end Monday morning. After accepting several records related to Obama’s birth in Hawaii, Mark Dugan, Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer’s chief of staff, moved to overrule the objection and close the board’s meeting. The board’s unanimous vote brings an end to an objection raised by Manhattan resident Joe Montgomery, who said Obama shouldn’t be on Kansas ballots and isn’t qualified to be president because his parents were not both born in the United States. Mexican President Felipe Calderón, in Houston Wednesday as part of a brief U.S. visit, sounded a victorious note for his six-year-tenure, saying his policies have helped to drastically reduce the flow of Mexican migrants to the United States, but criticized a "regressive policy toward workers, a hard and offensive type of politics" in the U.S., exemplified in Arizona's tough immigration law. Appearing likely to be upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court, who heard arguments on it this week, the law would mandate police check whether people they stop are here legally. DES MOINES, Iowa — Newt Gingrich has taken heat on the campaign trail from conservatives for filming a 2008 commercial on climate change with House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi. But that was hardly the first time the Republican presidential candidate and former House speaker collaborated with Pelosi. Gingrich co-sponsored 418 bills in Congress with Pelosi during the 12 years they served together in the House, according to the Library of Congress’s THOMAS database. Gingrich was in Congress from 1979 to 1999. Pelosi has served since 1987. As a matter of comparison, House Speaker John Boehner, who has served in Congress...

Timing is everything. Qaddafi was not killed in retaliation for his attacks on American servicemen in Berlin in 1986, or the downing of Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie in 1989. He was not killed for his central role in the USSR's terror networks going back to the 1960s and 1970s. He was killed after coming over to our side of George Bush's "war on terror" in the final phase of a civil war in Libya in which his regime fought al Qaeda affiliates. At a town hall meeting on his campaign-style tour of the Midwest, President Obama claimed that his economic program "reversed the recession" until recovery was frustrated by events overseas. And then, Obama said, with the economy in an increasingly precarious position, the recovery suffered another blow when Republicans pressed the White House for federal spending cuts in exchange for an increase in the national debt limit, resulting in a deal Obama called a "debacle." "We had reversed the recession, avoided a depression, gotten the economy moving again," Obama told a crowd in Decorah, Iowa. "But over the last six months...

This morning Republicans are just beginning to assess the damage that former House Speaker and current presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has done to the GOP budget plan currently before Congress. On "Meet the Press" Sunday, Gingrich denounced House Budget Committee chairman Paul Ryan's plan to restructure Medicare, saying, "I don't think right-wing social engineering is any more desirable than left-wing social engineering. I don't think imposing radical change from the right or the left is a very good way for a free society to operate."

Once Obama was off the air, we were escorted in front of that teleprompter and the President then re-enacted the walk-out and first 30 seconds of the statement for us.”

Also, since the people clearly regard ObamaCare as negative, how are conservatives going to get us back to FreeMarket Health Care?
