Rumor has it that there is video of Michelle Obama "railing against 'whitey' at Jeremiah Wright's church." If this is true, it could be lethal. It's one thing to distance yourself from your pastor, but quite another thing to distance yourself from your spouse. Might Rev. Wright be the one leaking the video? Be warned: Again -- this might be just be a rumor. Or it might be big -- if it's true. Stay tuned ... Update: I talked to Larry Johnson, the blogger who has this story. I don't personally know Johnson, but his bio seems pretty credible. He...

What does Democratic presidential front-runner Illinois Senator Barack Obama, Reverend Jeremiah Wright, a man named Larry Sinclair and Trinity United Church of Christ’s murdered homosexual choir director have in common? According Mr. Sinclair, maybe quite a bit. According to Sinclair, he has given new evidence to Chicago police linking Obama to the murder . . .

Otis Moss, the man slated to become the new chief pastor at Barack Obama's Chicago church, subscribes to the ideology of retiring pastor Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and is expected to continue Wright's legacy, according to Malik Zulu Shabazz, national chairman of the New Black panther Party... Obama, however said this past weekened he will continue his membership in Trinity. He referred to Moss as "wonderful." "Well, you know, the new pastor - the young pastor, Rev. Otis Moss, is a wonderful young pastor. And as I said, I still very much value the Trinity community," Obama told the New York...

Black Liberation Theology... "Black Theology refuses to accept a god who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against the white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him. The task of the Black theology is to kill gods who do not belong to the black community..." ...I'm not sure how much of this theology that Obama is aware of and subscribes to, however I severely doubt that he is clean of this theology since he has apparently been going to this church for 20...

What led Obama to Wright's church How a man of ambition found connections at Chicago's Trinity By Christi Parsons and Manya A. Brachear Tribune reporters 3:31 AM CDT, May 3, 2008 Click here to find out more! The day Barack Obama first showed up in the office of Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., more than 20 years ago, the pastor warned him that getting involved with Trinity United Church of Christ might not be "a feather in your cap." Obama was a community organizer trying to build support for his group on the South Side of Chicago, and a friendly minister...

Ministers said they heard in Mr. Wright’s language “the same kind of passion and hyperbole as the Hebrew prophets,” said the Rev. Richard Wagoner of Union Congregational Church, a United Church of Christ church in St. Louis Park, Minn. Clergy members have cited the prophet Amos, who cursed all the nations, saving his harshest words for his own. But many congregants heard something different, Mr. Wagoner said, and were angry about Mr. Wright’s sermons. After his speech at the National Press Club, more frustration surfaced. “Many in our congregation are resonating with Obama’s talk of raising the discourse and that...

By Ed Morrissey FrontPageMagazine.com | Wednesday, April 30, 2008 It appears that the Reverend Jeremiah Wright may have officially crossed over from partisan target to widespread embarrassment between the hours of 6 pm ET Sunday and noon ET yesterday. In response to the new media offensive (in every sense of the word) launched by Wright, the nation’s pundits on the Left have blown a big raspberry back in his direction. Finally, it appears, the audacity of lunacy has come to their attention. Bob Herbert calls Wright a narcissist: The Rev. Jeremiah Wright went to Washington on Monday not to praise...

I've been keeping careful tabs on Obama's church for over a year. The site has been continually changing, and I thought I would document it for FR. Last year it was very marxist and black separatist. Then it became still radical, social justice oriented, but a lot of the most severe separatist stuff was removed. Tonight I checked and suddenly it is overtly Christian. Either the church has changed substantially or somebody is trying to deceive the public. Here is the statement from the statement of faith in 2006: "We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian......

New pastor to head Obama's 8,000-member Chicago church Apr 30 04:14 AM US/Eastern By SOPHIA TAREEN Associated Press Writer CHICAGO (AP) - When the Rev. Otis Moss III takes to the pulpit before a congregation that includes Barack Obama, he's as likely to preach about Tupac Shakur or one of his favorite authors as he is the Apostle Paul. The 37-year-old "hip-hop pastor," as he's called by congregants, will become the head of Trinity United Church of Christ in June, taking over at a time of turmoil for the 8,000-member church, the nation's largest United Church of Christ congregation, Moss'...

N.B. bold red-letter emphasis is mine. The original article's emphasis is making the case that Barack Obama is a Muslim. My emphasis is that Rev. The Rev. Jeremiah Wright has taken Barack Obama's critically acclaimed race speech in Philadelphia, ripped it to bits and tossed it in the air to serve as confetti for his parade through the media... Then cometh the good reverend to step all over the out-of-context defense in a speech at the National Press Club. He defended his "chickens come home to roost" statement about 9/11 in exactly the same terms as in his original sermon: "You cannot do terrorism on other people and expect it never to come back on you." He stood by his damnation of America and his...

"Even though they were trying to destroy you, they end up blessing this small congregation of people with a skin condition." 4/6/08: Barack Obama's incoming Senior Pastor Otis Moss III delivers Hour of Power sermon, "We Have Nothing To Lose," at Trinity United Church of Christ.

Dear Senator Obama: Our common denomination, the United Church of Christ, has a suddenly serious legal and financial problem with the Internal Revenue Service. You, personally, are the cause of this problem. Candidly? I think you owe it to those of us who are your fellow congregants to help repair the damage that you have done. ...UNSURPRISINGLY, ALL OF THIS resulted in a complaint being filed with the IRS following your presentation. In addition to your speech and the stories featured by the UCC's own website, the complaint cites numerous media accounts describing your appearance as a campaign event. This...

In his eloquent Philadelphia speech, Mr. Obama likened Rev. Wright to a beloved, but politically extremist, family member with whom one profoundly disagrees but whose rage one understands. But this comparison just doesn't work for me. I don't get a chance to choose my family members. I do get a chance to choose my spiritual or religious leader and my congregation. And I do not have to remain silent or, more importantly, expose my children to the spiritual leader of my congregation who spews hate that offends my conscience.Mr. Obama made a choice to join the church and to ask...

Today I came across this year-old, largely biographical article about Barack Obama. It reads as though Lizza relied on Obama for large chunks of the piece, with other material coming from his books and interviews with those who knew him. About 2/3's down the page, I came across this astonishing nugget: After many lectures like this, Obama decided to take a second look at Wright's church. Older pastors warned him that Trinity was for "Buppies"--black urban professionals--and didn't have enough street cred. But Wright was a former Muslim and black nationalist who had studied at Howard and Chicago, and Trinity's...

The church where Sen. Barack Obama has worshipped for two decades publicly declares that its ministry is founded on a 1960s book that espouses "the destruction of the white enemy." Trinity United Church of Christ's Web site says its teachings are based on the black liberation theology of James H. Cone and his 1969 book "Black Theology and Black Power." "What we need is the divine love as expressed in Black Power, which is the power of black people to destroy their oppressors here and now by any means at their disposal. Unless God is participating in this holy activity,...

It's bad enough that Barack Obama's church took sick joy in 9/11 for "racist white America" supporting "Zionists." Now we learn that it also is a mouthpiece for anti-Israeli terrorists. Last July, Trinity United Church of Christ reprinted a Hamas manifesto written by a terrorist fugitive wanted by the FBI. It was published across two pages of the "Pastor's Page" section of the church bulletin. Rev. Jeremiah Wright's name is copyrighted at the bottom of the pages. For those who don't know, Wright is the anti-American, anti-Israeli bigot that Obama has consorted with for the past two decades. In his...

Barack Obama's latest revelation, "Had the reverend not retired, and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn't have felt comfortable staying at the church," makes me wonder where the people of integrity are that witnessed Obama in the pews during one of Wright's racist, anti-American rants. Is there not one congregate of Trinity that has the integrity to tell the truth? That they personally saw Obama in the pews when Wright went on...

I was not living in Minnesota when I first contacted the Obama campaign about Obama’s meetings with me in 1999 for the purpose of taking cocaine and sex. Between September 2007 and November, 2007 I left a total of four (4) different cell phone numbers with the office of the Obama campaign. This was necessary because I had to adjust the telephone number to correspond with each new location where I lived in that period. I have explained in my blog how I slowly made my way north to Minnesota before settling there. I have never said that I met...

More than two dozen well-known black preachers and scholars, in Dallas for a long-planned conference, offered unequivocal support Friday for one of their number who was not there. The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, now world-famous as the former pastor and spiritual mentor of presidential candidate Barack Obama, was to be the guest of honor at the Black Church Summit held by Brite Divinity School. Amid the recent controversy about some of his sermons, Dr. Wright decided not to attend, but the summit started Friday as scheduled. Most of the event was not open to the media, but several of the scholars...

Barack Obama missed a valuable opportunity last week to acknowledge America's dramatic social changes and to soundly refute those who are content to wallow in bigotry of bygone days. More than a year ago, we raised questions about the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's teachings at Chicago's now nationally known Trinity United Church of Christ. Last week, when national news outlets excerpted some of Wright's most vitriolic quotations and Americans saw firsthand the enthusiastic response of the Trinity church family, those same questions reappeared and became a national discussion topic. Segments of sermons showing Wright outrageously claiming the federal government developed the...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A controversy over Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's former pastor has not hurt Obama, a new poll found on Thursday, even as more potential trouble surfaced involving his church. A poll by the Pew Research Center said videos of sermons by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Obama's subsequent speech on race in America last week have attracted more public attention than any events thus far in the 2008 presidential campaign. The March 19-22 survey of 1,503 American adults found that despite the flap, Illinois Sen. Obama had maintained a 49 percent to 39 percent advantage over New...

The Zionist Organization of America has “called upon Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) to quit his racist, anti-American, anti-Israel church and repudiate his pastor, Jeremiah Wright.” Noting that the National Jewish Democratic Council condemned Mitt Romney for appearing at the museum of a long-dead EX-antisemite, we are confident that NJDC will support ZOA’s request. Henry Ford retracted and repudiated The International Jew, but Jeremiah Wright has never retracted, repudiated, or apologized for his own hate speech, his publication of a manifesto from a genuine Hamas terrorist, or his placement of quote marks around “state” of Israel, as if...

Barack Obama’s church published an opinion piece that accused Israel and South Africa of working together to develop an “ethnic bomb” to kill Blacks and Arabs. Here are the principal excerpts from the Pastor’s Page (the pastor being Jeremiah Wright), which pretty much speak for themselves. The Israelis were given a blank check: they could test whenever they desired and did not even have to ask...

A friend of mine sent me his comment on the "National Publican Radio" reference by Obama's new Reverend in today's sermon. See http://newsbusters.org/blogs/mark-finkelstein/2008/03/23/wright-replacement-calls-npr-national-publican-radio. I haven't verified it, but my friend is generally very accurate. You might want to check it out: As a Roman history buff, I don't know how many other people will notice this, but when Rev. Moss calls NPR "National Publican Radio", there's an anti-Semitic crack buried in the reference. Publicans were Jewish tax collectors for the Romans. This was the primary definition until a recent flurry of political correctness forced Webster's to delete the word "Jewish"...

The new pastor at Barack Obama’s church used his first Easter sermon on Sunday to compare controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. to Jesus’ death at the hands of the Romans.

The entire country is now aware of the hate-filled ravings of Barack Obama’s pastor, Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright. Obama’s membership in the Trinity United Church of Christ is entirely consistent with the Black identity politics, if not Black nationalist politics, that he describes in Dreams From My Father. The United Church of Christ is meanwhile, as shown by the Anti-Defamation League associated with the Sabeel Ecuminical Liberation Theology Center. Not only does Sabeel question Israel’s right to exist, it is on record as referring to the establishment of Israel as the “nakba” or “catastrophe.” If this is not bad...

From the Los Angeles Times: Hamas’ stand: An official of the movement describes its goals for all of Palestine. By Mousa Abu Marzook July 10, 2007 ...I, for one, do not trouble myself over “recognizing” Israel’s right to exist — this is not, after all, an epistemological problem; Israel does exist, as any Rafah boy in a hospital bed, with IDF shrapnel in his torso, can tell you. This dance of mutual rejection is a mere distraction when so many are dying or have lived as prisoners for two generations in refugee camps. As I write these words, Israeli forays...

Obama's Black Identity Politics is Consistent With Jeremiah Wright’s Hate SpeechIf anyone believes that Barack Obama “just found out” about Jeremiah Wright’s vicious anti-American hate speech, we have a bridge in Brooklyn we would like to sell them. As shown by Obama’s own book Dreams From My Father, Obama’s deep involvement in Black identity politics–replace that with “White identity politics” to envision sheets, hoods, and burning crosses–is entirely consistent with his widespread involvement and association with racists, anti-Semites, and Catholic-haters. The bottom line is that Obama is not one of us and, by “us,” we mean mainstream America. To begin...

I had a really good post all ready to go. There was a video posted by the Trinity United Church of Christ, which I found on their YouTube page, of Louis Farrakhan being honored with the Jeremiah A. Wright Trumpeter award. It's gone from YouTube. And there was a video of disgraced Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick receiving a similar award. It's gone from YouTube, too. But the one I'm really mad about is the one of the church's new pastor, Otis Moss III, talking about gangster rap and crack cocaine. They pulled that one, as well. Maybe it had something to...

Apparently Jeremiah Wright has offered controversial analysis of 9/11 more than once. Courtesy Sweetness & Light, a column from Wright: In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01. White America and the Western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just “disappeared” as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring Black concerns. The hundreds of thousands who have been killed in Rwanda, in Angola, in Zimbabwe, in Mozambique and in Kenya are still invisible. There has been no international uproar about the...

The News: Sen. Barack Obama's Chicago church has been promoting him -- and criticizing his rival Hillary Clinton -- from the pulpit. • The Issue: Has the church violated federal law that restricts a church's political activity? • What's At Stake: The church's tax-exempt status and its ability to raise money. Mr. Wright, who will be ending his 36-year tenure as the church's senior pastor in June, has previously been criticized for comments deriding President George Bush and lauding Louis Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam. Now Mr. Wright's and his successor's repeated enthusiastic promotion of their famous parishioner may...

Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton argued Sunday that her campaign for the White House is "about solutions," not feelings, as she swept through Ohio on an intense push two days before the state's presidential primary. She told more than 2,000 cheering backers that she wants to solve the economic troubles facing the industrial Midwest. "For some people this election is about how you feel, it's about speeches," Clinton said. "Well, that's not what it's about for me. It's about solutions...." Mrs. Clinton focused on her promise to provide health insurance for all, as well as her opposition to trade agreements that...

In her senior thesis at Princeton, Michelle Obama wrote that her experiences at the Ivy League university made her "far more aware" of race and determined to work for the black community. The 23-year-old school papoer, posted on the web site Politico.com, shows the young Michelle Lavaughn Robinson struggling to feel at home in the university. ...For the thesis, "Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Comnmunity," Obama sent out a survey to 400 black alumni, asking them about their racial attitudes before, during and after their stints on campus. Eighty-nine responded to the study, which Obama said "attempts to examine the...

“Anti-Semites for Obama” by the Tennessee Republican Party barely recognizes the tip of the ugly iceberg. Obama’s association with and refusal to repudiate anti-Semites, racists, and Catholic-haters is indeed a problem, but his open promotion of anti-Semitic, anti-Catholic, and racist individuals and organizations is far worse. ...The National “Jewish” Democratic Council, with its long and extensive record of whitewashing and sanitizing anti-Semitism and other forms of hate while promoting hatred of Christians for political gamesmanship, is an insult not only to Jews but to all decent people of all political persuasions. We can see no other motive behind Ira Forman’s...

Black Value System (in response to Erik Rush’s comments (2.28.07) on the Hannity and Colmes show): • One of the biggest gaps in knowledge that causes the kind of ignorance that you hear spouted by this man [Erik Rush] and those like him, has to do with the fact that these persons are completely ignorant when it comes to the Black religious tradition. The vision statement of Trinity United Church of Christ is based upon the systematized liberation theology that started in 1969 with the publication of Dr. James Cone’s book, Black Power and Black Theology.

Barack Obama has become a master at utilizing biblical language for his own rewriting religion to favor his apostate, theologically liberal political stance. To hear Obama, one would think him to be the Billy Graham running for the Oval Office. He invokes the name of Jesus. He quotes Scripture. He pitches his voice in cadence as an old-time evangelist. He poses as a preacher inviting his hearers to the mourners' bench. "In Macon, Ga., Obama spoke for about a half hour to about 1,000 people at the interracial and interdenominational Harvest Cathedral. He talked about how he became a committed...
