  • SeeBS's "Wisdom of the Crowd" takes a knee

This is a new series that my wife likes. It's the usual story. Rich Silicon Valley titan's daughter is murdered and he creates a new technology to find her murderer. Not my cup of tea, but I could tolerate it... until tonight. Tonight's episode was about a stereotypical "white supremacist." They made it a point say that "white nationalism" (whatever that is) is white supremecism. I wanted to throw the TV out the window. We won't be watching that one anymore. Makes me glad I use KODI so nobody makes any money off what I watch.

This guy is on there now talking down the war effort. Talking down Rummy. Telling his guest (General) "this Administration wants Americans to believe Saddam was responsible for 9/11." This guy is so transparent. He's better off in "The Situation Room" with Blitzer and Cafferty. Touting the six retired Officers calling for Rummy's head. Shep is just trashing the effort. Drama Queen.

(AgapePress) - The director of research and publications for the Parents Television Council (PTC) says violence pervades children's programming -- and it's not the "cartoonish" kind of violence with which many adults are familiar from their own childhoods. The PTC recently completed a study of television programming specifically created for young kids. The pro-family media watchdog group revealed its disturbing findings in a report called "Wolves in Sheep's Clothing: A Content Analysis of Children's Television" (See related story).According to the PTC's Melissa Caldwell, the not-so-surprising revelation of this study is that much of kid-targeted TV is not terribly child-friendly. In fact,...

Catholic League Not Amused By ‘VILE’ Leary Special By Gayle Fee and Laura Raposa Wednesday, December 14, 2005 - Updated: 12:15 AM EST The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights has put Worcester homey Denis Leary on its Naughty List and the religious group is demanding that Comedy Central ax future showings of his “vile special” “Denis Leary’s Merry F#%$in’ Christmas.” “Hate speech dressed in humorous garb is still hate speech,” said Catholic League president Bill Donohue. “Leary is obviously bedeviled by some disorder but nothing excuses this crap.” In the Yuletide yukfest, the “Rescue Me” star has a...
  • Am I The Only One Sick Of The Excessive Tsunami Coverage?

Am I the only one sick of the tsunami coverage? Maybe it's the obvious fact the media has no other big story it wants to cover. Maybe the idiotic anti-Bush angle they have developed. But I think it's just the plain old fact the disaster coverage has reached the point where it is out of proportion to the disaster itself.Of course the tsunami was a terrible event and there needs to be a major relief effort. But I started getting annoyed when they called it the worst natural disaster in history. I knew I'd lived during 200 or 300,000 deaths...
