We have had heard from numerous people across the country that there has been some ticket fraud when buying a ticket for An American Carol this past weekend. Please check your ticket. If you were in fact one of those people that were "mistakenly" sold a ticket for another movie please fill out the form below. Hold on to your ticket so we can have proof.
Remember C-SPAN steams live on the Internet -- 4 channels.

Just a reminder that for those of you with TV or cable, (and even if you have it), C-SPAN streams its 3 TV channels and radio channel on the Internet. I'm watching McCain's speech in New Mexico today. It's awesome and I would have missed it if not for C-SPAN online. GO MCCAIN!

Larry Elder caller says West L.A. theaters hiding American Carol

I just heard a caller to the Larry Elder Show say that she went to a theater in West L.A. to see An American Carol, and they didn't even have it on the marquee. The worst was when she said some friends reported gettng ticket stubs that didn't even have the name of the film on them. Hmmmm ... makes me wonder if some of our tickets were tallied in the columns of another picture?

Cartman seems to be the only person aware of the gathering threat the Chinese pose to the United States in an all-new episode of "South Park" titled, "The China Problem." Fresh off an Emmy(R) win for the "Imaginationland" trilogy, "South Park" returns with seven all-new episodes beginning Wednesday, October 8 at 10:00 p.m. on COMEDY CENTRAL.
Oliver Stone's 'W' Partly Funded with Chinese Money

Forty-three years ago, two men enrolled at Yale University. One of them dropped out a year later, volunteered to fight in Vietnam, then made a movie about his experiences entitled Platoon. His name is Oliver Stone. The other dodged combat and went on to become the 43rd President of the United States. His name is George W. Bush. If all this sounds like the premise of a Hollywood blockbuster, then it is – sort of. The movie is W., a Bush biopic that – and here’s the twist – is directed by Stone. It will be released in America a...

Judge disses Sharon Stone’s basic instincts as mom

Sharon Stone’s suggestion that her 8-year-old son get Botox injections to rid him of smelly feet is just one of her many parenting overreactions detailed in court papers released the other day. The 50-year-old actress was shot down last week by a San Francisco Superior Court judge when she sought to modify a 2007 custody decision that gave primary parenting duties for Roan to her ex-hubby, Phil Bronstein. The court contended that Stone is a drama queen of a mother who has gone off the deep end over and over, and refused the “Basic Instinct” star’s request to move her...

Philips unveils 56" 3D HDTV, no glasses required ($25,000 price tag)

Philips unveiled a killer new 3D HDTV at the 3D Biz Ex event in Hollywood earlier this week, with a hefty price tag to boot. The 56″ Quad Full (3840×2160 resolution), autostereoscopic 3D HD TV does not require special glasses to be viewed and has a 160 degree viewing angle. Put simply, autostereoscopic displays work by projecting a different image into each eye, though there are a range of technologies which can be employed to achieve this effect. The Philips TV boasts 46 simultaneous views, seen depending on the angle the viewer is watching from. The 8.29 megapixel monster will...

Laughless Moore Jab Falls Flat

A Michael Moore-like film maker shares a portable toilet with JFK, Gen. George Patton and Bill O'Reilly (as himself) in "An American Carol," which surely has two of them - not to mention Charles Dickens - rolling in their graves. Even if it weren't three years too late to parody Moore (ineptly played by Kevin Farley), Moore's ridiculous tribute to Cuban health care in "Sicko" is far funnier than anything in this desperately laughless farce from David Zucker ("Scary Movie 3")....

The Ladies of The View Silenced Day After Biden Palin Debate

Did anyone see The View today? I thought it was so odd that they didn't say a word about the debate. Every single day for months they talk about the election and slam McCain and Palin (except for Elizabeth). Yet, today, not a word. Why did they obviously change their agenda today? Does anyone know? I know there is a story behind this. I can't wait to hear when it comes out.

DHP Review: An American Carol (movie review)

DHP Review: An American Carol Posted by Dirty Harry on Thursday, October 2nd, 2008 For the record, the cut I saw of An American Carol was not the finished cut. As a matter of fact, I was told it was the first cut. So you can safely assume that the film has improved since. Political satire is a tough genre requiring a wire walker at the helm with the talent and maturity to avoid the dual pitfalls of sanctimony and pretension. John Cusack couldn’t do it. War, Inc. was an embarrassment that wallowed in both of those pitfalls and could...
