The federal government says it has no choice but to reluctantly keep distributing to millions of waterfowl hunters a toll-free phone-sex-service number that features a breathy woman promising callers that they can "talk only to the girls who turn you on" for $1.99 per minute. About 3.5 million federal "duck stamps," featuring artwork by a Plymouth artist, are affixed to a card that bears the misprinted number, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service said Wednesday. All waterfowl hunters age 16 and older must buy and carry the current Migratory Bird Conservation and Hunting Stamp, commonly known as the duck stamp....

I was lured to the Unitarian Universalist Church on Geary in San Francisco by a press release saying that actor Sean Penn, "peace mom" Cindy Sheehan, and a plethora of far-left anti-war semi-celebrities would be participating in a "vigil for peace" followed by a march through the city.

My beeber is stuned because, while I was watching "Fox and Friends" a little before 6:20 AM, Eastern, the crawl told me that a "HUGH" stash of weapons had been found in Iraq. Honestly, I am not kidding. I am amazed by how often I see typos in the crawls on the cable news channels.

I’m not making this up. Press release from Barack Obama on John Kerry’s decision not to run for President… “From his earliest days in Vietnam to the Presidential Election in 2004, John Kerry has fought his country and his ideals. I am proud to call him a friend and a colleague in the United States Senate, and know that he will continue to serve his country with honor and distinction in the years to come.” Think I’m lying? Of course, it’s a typo (or John McCain just signed Barack’s name), but it’s still alot of fun.

A grand jury Thursday decided a 14-year-old boy who shot and killed an intruder in his home Monday acted in self-defense and no charges were necessary. "I guess, as far as we're concerned, this was a completely justified shooting," said District Attorney Carlos Valdez. Valdez said details of the Ocean Drive shooting were presented to the grand jury for consideration in the same manner as any other case, which ensured fairness. "Any time there's a shooting involving the death of one citizen at the hands of another it is our policy to present it to the grand jury," he said....

Police Sweep Paris Suburb After Attack Tuesday September 26, 2006 4:01 AM PARIS (AP) - More than 200 police raided a neighborhood Monday in suburban Paris where a band of youths attacked riot police last week and seriously wounded one officer, reviving memories of the violence that raged in poor French suburbs last year. Twelve people were detained in the early morning sweep in Corbeil-Essonnes south of the capital, the local prosecutor said. A band of up to 30 youths armed with makeshift weapons attacked two riot police patrolling a housing project in Corbeil-Essonnes last Tuesday. One suffered a double...

George Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction. I quote, “We have known for years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing WMD’s. Iraq’s search for WMD’s has proven impossible to deter and we should assume it will continue as long as Saddam is in power. He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that demanded he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and...

Senator Tommy Franks? Trails by 2 points! By: Trupolitik · Section: Diaries I have been urging General Franks to run for the US senate for months now. It appears I am not alone. According to the latest poll he is behind Democratic incumbent, Ben Nelson, by 2 points and he has not even announced his candidacy! His Admin continues to tell me that Gen. Franks is not seeking an elected office. I think we should convice him otherwise. What Red Stater would prefer Ben Nelson or Katherine Harris over America's General? Please let him know America needs him. Email: http://www.tommyfranks.com/Contact.asp...

For reasons I truly not do understand, a number of threads I posted to tonight to got pulled from News / Activision. Now, that's okay. It isn't my board. As far as I'm concerned, J&J can run it however they want. I would, however, like to know what the rules are. It is very annoying to spend fifteen minutes writing what you think will be an accepable post, only to go back and find that the entire thread has been yanked. There was *nothing* about any of those (the threads) that I thought was least bit objectionable. They were on...

It may be changed by the time you'd read it, but at present it says: Sen. Barbara Mikulski, a Maryland Democrat who chairs the committee that funds NASA, has expressed reservations about the growing cooperation between the military and the Pentagon.
