Holder omitted Blagojevich link from questionnaire Announced as a ‘special investigator to the Illinois Gaming Board’ in 2004 December 17, 2008 BY CHRIS FUSCO Staff Reporter/cfusco@suntimes.com Before Eric Holder was President-elect Barack Obama's choice to be attorney general, he was Gov. Blagojevich's pick to sort out a mess involving Illinois' long-dormant casino license. Blagojevich and Holder appeared together at a March 24, 2004, news conference to announce Holder's role as "special investigator to the Illinois Gaming Board" -- a post that was to pay Holder and his Washington, D.C. law firm up to $300,000. Holder, however, omitted that event from...

Large numbers of Catholics and religiously unaffiliated voters heavily contributed to President-elect Barack Obama's huge margin of victory over Republican Sen. John McCain, according to an analysis of exit poll surveys by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life. "Obama had a greater appeal for religious people," said John Green, a senior fellow at Pew. "I don't think we would have seen that support had Hillary [Rodham Clinton] been nominated." Catholics voted for Mr. Obama over Mr. McCain by a nine-point margin (54 percent versus 45 percent), a turnaround from 2004 when Catholics supported President Bush over Sen. John...

But Mr. Obama will most likely be our most liberal public policy president since Franklin D. Roosevelt. So where is the new Obama administration likely to take us? Seven things seem certain: The U.S., military will withdraw from Iraq quickly and substantially, regardless of conditions on the ground or the obvious consequence of emboldening terrorists there and around the globe. .... Income taxes will rise on middle- and upper-income people and businesses, and individuals will pay much higher Social Security taxes, all to carry out the new president's goals of "spreading the wealth around." Federal government spending will substantially increase....

We called Obama a socialist because he definitely is one. We've been countered with, "What's wrong with socialism?" Now we can simply call them National Socialists. Yesterday, Barack Obama spoke in Colorado, and said something that may be of interest to Joe the Plumber: "Now, make no mistake: the change we need won’t come easy or without cost. We will all need to tighten our belts, we will all need to sacrifice and we will all need to pull our weight because now more than ever, we are all in this together." Last night, the question about Sarah Palin wasn't if she's risen too fast, but where she's been for so long. She may have given the best speech of either political convention. She delivered a brilliantly written text flawlessly. Politicians who've been on the national stage for decades could do no better, and usually do worse. The unlikely VP nominee the media hoped to crush out of the gate is unaffected by their condescension and scorn - and is bent on giving better than she takes. There is also a transcript of the audio available here, thanks to Power Line News. This interview is a remarkable insight into what Obama thinks about taking your hard-earned dollars and giving them to someone else (he obviously knows better than you who needs your money and how it should be spent). House Democrats Contemplate Abolishing 401(k) Tax Breaks Powerful House Democrats are eyeing proposals to overhaul the nation’s $3 trillion 401(k) system, including the elimination of most of the $80 billion in annual tax breaks that 401(k) investors receive. House Education and Labor Committee Chairman George Miller, D-California, and Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Washington, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee’s Subcommittee on Income Security and Family Support, are looking at redirecting those tax breaks to a new system of guaranteed retirement accounts to which all workers would be obliged to contribute. A plan by Teresa Ghilarducci, professor of economic-policy analysis...

This post is for journalists who care about the future of their country more than their careers. I have previously posted about Barack Obama's involvement in the socialist led Illinois New Party here, here and here. Below are scans from New Party News Spring 1996. They prove that Barack Obama was a member of the Illinois New Party and was endorsed by them in his 1996 Illinois State Senate race. Would Obama, Dems Kill 401(k) Plans? October 23, 2008 10:47 AM ET | James Pethokoukis | I hate to use the "S" word, but the American government would never do something as, well, socialist as seize private pension funds, right? This is exactly what cash-strapped Argentina just did in the name of protecting workers' retirement accounts (Efharisto, Fausta's Blog). Now, even Uncle Sam isn't that stupid, but some Democrats might try something almost as loopy: kill 401(k) plans. House Democrats recently invited Teresa Ghilarducci, a professor at the New School of Social Research, to testify before a subcommittee on her...

The Davis Plan and Connections to Obama In 1963, while serving in Navy Intelligence (from 1958-1967), I read the FBI file on Frank Marshall Davis. He had outlined the Communist plan to take over America from within, by installing educators at all levels of our educational system, gaining control of the media, getting Liberal judges appointed, recruiting, training and backing people to be elected to public office. I have researched every piece of legislation I can find that the Liberal Democrats have passed since the early sixties, and if you will research for yourself, you will find that they have...

Here is video of an interview conducted by WFTV (Orlando, FL) anchor Barbara Waters with Sen. Joe Biden. She asks Biden the tough questions about Barack Obama, which visibly angers Joe Biden. She confronts Biden on Obama's socialist policies, and even asks Biden what is the difference between a Karl Marx quote and what Obama is saying. Biden responded with, "Are you joking?" . . . . “I’ve looked over Jordan, and I have seen Things are not what they seem. What do you get for pretending the danger’s not real... Meek and obedient you follow the leader Down well- trodden corridors into the valley of steel.” - Roger Waters I am tired of all the dancing around the subject with respect to Barack Obama’s political, social, and economic views. He’s not a “liberal,” or a “Democrat,” or a “progressive,” or even a “socialist.” Let’s call it what it is, shall we? It’s time to use the “C” word. His policies are communist, pure and simple. Even...

Analysts say McCain's 'socialism' claims may be a stretch12:25 AM CDT on Sunday, October 19, 2008By DAVE MICHAELS and TODD J. GILLMAN / The Dallas Morning Newsdmichaels@dallasnews.comtgillman@dallasnews.com CONCORD, N.C. – As John McCain trails Barack Obama in swing states he needs to win to claim the presidency, his campaign has promoted the idea that his opponent's tax and health-care policies evoke socialism. The claim was made after Mr. Obama remarked in Ohio last week that he wanted to "spread the wealth around." But such comparisons to socialism gloss over important facts, analysts say. Both Mr. McCain and his running mate,...

What should be front page news informing and warning Americans is going entirely unnoticed by the MSM. It couldn’t be any more obvious the media are in the tank for Obama. In “Something New Here,” I laid out Barack Obama’s ties to the far-left New Party. Blogger Trevor Loudon, of New Zeal, did the pioneering work on this issue. Today, Loudon has posted good quality scans of New Party documents and pictures confirming Obama’s membership. We’ve seen most of this information before (although only recently), but never so clearly. With all its lengthy background pieces, has the New York Times...
  • Obama's Commumnist Mentor

In his books, Obama admits attending "Socialist Conferences" and coming into contact with Marxist literature. But he ridicules the charge of being a "hard-core academic Marxist". Through Frank Marshall Davis, Obama had an admitted relationship with someone identified as a memebr of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA). The 1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii, identified him as a CPUSA member. Obama developed a close relationship, almost like a son, with Davis. Listening to his "poetry" and getting advice on his career path. You will find it briefly discussed in Obama's...
