  • McCain’s Immigration Bill Outsourced His Donors

The world outside the newspaper publishing industry and the McCain for President Campaign Headquarters pretty much agrees that the Senate Immigration Fiasco put John McCain’s White House aspirations in the hurt locker. The media will tell us otherwise. They see the world as the world is not and broadcast that misinformation far and wide. The Inside the Beltway version of McCain’s demise blames his catastrophic decline on his support of the Iraq Surge. If a politician says too many nice things about a general who won Senate confirmation by over 80 votes, that campaign is clearly headed for the toilet...

Sen. John F. Kerry yesterday blasted the Bush administration for war and homeland security policies that he said leave Americans more vulnerable to attack. Kerry’s remarks came in a Faneuil Hall speech on the eve of tomorrow’s five-year anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. In his fourth speech this year at the venue, Kerry accused the administration of using the tragedy that killed about 3,000 Americans to justify the war in Iraq. “It is immoral to treat 9/11 as a political pawn (to) excuse the invasion of Iraq,” Kerry said. “They were attacked and killed not by Saddam...

Three Vietnam War veterans who sued over a documentary about Sen. John Kerry's anti-war activities have dropped their lawsuits, leaving just one court fight pending over the 2004 film. Filmmaker Carlton Sherwood says the withdrawal of the lawsuits shows they were frivolous complaints filed by Kerry operatives to try to block the film's release in the final weeks of the presidential race. "We've always believed that Kerry controlled these lawsuits," Sherwood said Monday. The 42-minute film, "Stolen Honor: Wounds That Never Heal," charges that Kerry's actions as an anti-war activist after his tour in Vietnam harmed American POWs. It also...
  • Unfit for Duty not found on Amazon

I just did a title search for "Unfit for Duty" on Amazon.com and nothing came up. Did a subject search on "John Kerry" and again "Unfit for Duty" did not come up. Any ideas what is going on here? Am I paranoid or perhaps there are some Kerry supporters inside Amazon suppressing the free flow of information is the grand Marxist tradition.
  • `Duty' latest salvo in election-fueled book/film blitz

WASHINGTON - Books like ``Unfit for Command'' may soar to the top of the bestseller lists and generate buzz on radio and TV talk shows this political season - but they are unlikely to sway large numbers of undecided voters. The reason is simple: Books with a sharp political slant tend to preach to the choir - hard-core partisan audiences - rather than win converts. ``They reinforce those who have already converted,'' said professor Kathleen Hall Jamieson, director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center. Bookshelves and movie theaters have been awash in political fare as the 2004 presidential race intensifies...

Christmas In “Cambodia" Vietnam, December 1968 JOHN KERRY’S STORY If there is one story told over and over again by John Kerry since his return from Vietnam, it is the heart-wrenching tale of how he spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day illegally in Cambodia. From the early 1970s, when he used the tale as part of his proof for war crimes in Cambodia, through the mid-1980s and the 1990s, Kerry has spoken and written again and again of how he was illegally ordered to enter Cambodia. On the floor of the U.S. Senate on March 27, 1986, Kerry launched one...
