  • Newsweek's 'Muslim Rage' cover sparks controversy

    09/18/2012 3:55:53 PM PDT · by bronxville · 25 replies ^ | 09-18-2012 | Ayaan Hirsi Ali
The cover story is written by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a well-known Somali-born rights activist and former Dutch lawmaker whose criticism of Islam has earned her death threats. In it, she describes her own experience of renouncing Islam as well as making a short film with Theo van Gogh about Muslim women that saw the Dutch filmmaker shot and stabbed to death. The article comes as Muslims in at least 20 countries have staged angry demonstrations outside US embassies and other American symbols in protest against an anti-Islam film called "Innocence of Muslims."

AGI) Beirut - The Moscow-based website 'Russia Today' reports the U.S. embassy in Lebanon has begun to destroy secret codes and classified documents. The reason given is the large demonstration against the 'Innocence of Muslims' now taking place in Beirut and organized by Hezbollah. After listening to a speech by the organization's leader, Hassan Nasrallah, about 100,000 demonstrators, segregated by gender, began marching through Beirut. 'Russia Today' intimated that, according to U.S. diplomatic sources, an assault on the embassy is feared. . .

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Fox News military analyst Colonel David Hunt laid the blame for the murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans at the Benghazi, Libya American mission on Hillary Clinton and the State Department: The State Department just allowed our guys to get killed. If you approve no bullets in guns for the mission security guards and an outhouse for a mission, you’re inviting it. Earlier, on Howie Carr's radio show Thursday, Colonel Hunt said that the American mission at Benghazi "was like a cardboard building, there wasn't even bullet proof glass." In addition,...

Brisbane Times: A mob of Indonesian Islamists waving jihad flags attacked the US embassy yesterday, throwing rocks and bricks, but they were repelled by tear gas and riot police. About 500 people from a number of radical groups were protesting against the movie The Innocence of Muslims by calling for the arrest and death penalty for the movie’s director Sam Bacile and the Florida preacher Terry Jones who had planned to show the film.

The attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi that killed American ambassador Chris Stevens was pre-planned and included foreigners, Libyan President said yesterday. President of Libya’s National Congress, Mohamed Magariaf, in an interview to the CBS news aired yesterday said his government has arrested about 50 people, some of which are foreigners and connected to al-Qaeda. “They entered Libya from different directions, and some of them definitely from Mali and Algeria,” he said. “These ugly deeds, criminal deeds were directed against them, the late ambassador, Chris Stevens, and his colleagues, does not represent in any way, in any sense, the...

After the violent clashes in the Middle East last week where several Americans– including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya– were killed, Muslims in Australia have begun to riot as well. Allegedly protesting an anti-Muslim film, the protesters took to the streets in Sydney with signs that read, “behead all those who insult the prophet” and “down, down USA.” The Australian writes: Capsicum spray was fired, leaving faces red and inflamed, while one man was seen being dragged along the ground with blood dripping down his face. Superintendent Mark Walton later said he believed some people went to the protest “armed”,...

The comments for which Romney is being so relentlessly and viciously scorned by Barack Obama and his merry band of media puppets sounds to me exactly like comments Ronald Reagan would have made.
