credit card processors

I have a question regarding credit card processors. I run a small business, and accept credit cards, however is there a way to prevent paying the high fees with this service? Can I just slide the credit card plate, in the old fashion way and take the deposit slips to the bank?

IF A BABTIST OR PROTESTANT DOES SOMETHING WRONG IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THEIR RELIGION. AND THIS BIG COVER UP GARBAGE IS A JOKE. ADMITTEDLY THEY ARE NOT PERFECT NOR CLAIM TO BE.
The Swiss should have voted against the Minaret ZOT!

# Freedom of religion is fundamental to Swiss law and European human rights treaties. # A minaret is a simple and common architectural feature of a mosque, and is neither a safety risk nor a public nuisance. # A minaret carries no political symbolism or significance. # Advertising campaigns to promote the law were racist. # The law may alienate Swiss Muslims, who are largely of European origin and are known to be moderate. # The international outcry against the law may have a negative influence on the Swiss economy and foreign relations

ikeonic: Victim of Palin Zot

Sarah's explanation of why she legitimized the birther conspiracy theorists feeds right into her victimhood storyline: Voters have every right to ask candidates for information if they so choose. I’ve pointed out that it was seemingly fair game during the 2008 election for many on the left to badger my doctor and lawyer for proof that Trig is in fact my child. Conspiracy-minded reporters and voters had a right to ask … which they have repeatedly. Ah yes... Palin was a victim of a massive left wing conspiracy that forced her to courageously step down as Alaska's governor. So it's...

Is Islam worthy of First Amendment protection?

Is Islam worthy of First Amendment protection? I think it might be time for a Constitutional amendment. Such an amendment would not necessarily have to ban the practice of Islam in the U.S. But certainly, it seems to be time to carve out an exception to the First Amendment so that Islam can be restricted. What better place to get the ball rolling than right here on Free Republic? Am I off base here? Thoughts?

Man-eating lions consumed 35 people in 1898

The nightly attacks by two man-eating lions terrified railway workers and brought construction to a halt in one of east Africa's most notorious onslaughts more than a hundred years ago. But the death toll, scientists now say, wasn't as high as previously thought. Over nine months the two voracious hunters claimed 35 lives — no small figure, but much less than some accounts of as many as 135 victims.

But rather than a deathly duel over a mouse or territory, this acrobatic pair are simply play-fighting. Dubbed the 'ninja cats' after the Japanese feudal warriors, the sparring pair are in fact Muffi and his friend Tiger.

I need some help and advice from the vast FReeper community of experts. I have been fostering a sweet little mamma cat and her six babies since they were two days old. The kittens are now almost six weeks old. Three days ago "Mamma Mia" slipped out and got lost. The babies were fine because they are eating dry food now but when we found Mia last night she was in a bad way. Her poor, um, what's the word for cats, "teets" are so swollen and impacted! She's in a lot of discomfort. She wants the kittens to nurse...

Obama administration attempting citizen confrontations? Force a Revolution?

The Obama administration is ACTUALLY encouraging pro healthcare reform activists to confront the grass roots anti Healthcare Reform Protesters. He, and his high powered surrogates are actually directing leftist mobs (hmmm Union Thugs??) to get into the faces of American people exercising their constitutional right to protest.I can see another Lexington and Concord event happening very soon; even by the end of August. This debate is degenerating into something very ugly and the phony "UNITER" appears to be looking for a fight.Well Mr.B Hussein Obama, read my name and READ MY LIPS!

It's a drat shame to let all this crazy go to waste, when properly cultivated and raised it could be so much more. So welcome to the first FreeRepublic Infiltration Contest!
How about Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle (R) to challenge Obama in 2012?

If the GOP was smart, they would go with someone like Governor Linda Lingle (R), of Hawaii to challenge Obama in 2012. She's one tough lady. She's really smart, very level-headed, pro-business, fiscally conservative, and yet she supports women's issues, and she's also a social moderate. George W. Bush LOVED her. Interestingly, she's also Jewish (from Missouri), and was married, although now she's divorced. She would please conservatives AND moderate Republicans, plus she's got the Jewish vote and I know she would appeal to minorities, since she totally understands and relates to minorities, having presided over one of the most...

Iran video - faked!

BS"D The sensationalist "Neda" video, which has been used to promote the idea that there is actually an organized revolution in Iran against the Communist ruling power (as if such a thing could be organized, with Communist cadre everywhere to prevent it), was faked. The video was intended for emotional impact, to convince gullible Westerners that the phony Iranian "democracy" movement is genuine. It is a typical Communist deception tactic to further their global objective. Click the article link to read about it.

One of the dogs has already attacked a neighbor near Lily Court in Sanford. Eyewitness News has learned the dogs' owners are not keeping their fence secure. Some of the breaks in the fence are big enough for an adult to easily climb through. After many calls to animal control, neighbors say they want the fence fixed once and for all. "Chasing children, attacking children....

Vatican sources told Il Giornale that their support for abortion disqualified Ms Kennedy and other Roman Catholics President Barack Obama had been seeking to appoint. Mr Obama was reportedly seeking to reward John F Kennedy's daughter, who publicly gave her support to his election bid. She had been poised to replace Hillary Clinton as New York senator, but dropped out amid criticism that she lacked enough experience for the job.
