Not only has Cummings made false statements about the mission of True the Vote, he has also misled the public about the group's response to an October 4 request from Cummings for documents, a request he has no authority to enforce. Less than three weeks before the election, Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) is demanding more documents from a conservative group that claims to be battling instances of voter fraud throughout the country. But Cummings contends the real goal of True the Vote is to stop legal voters — mostly in minority communities — from casting ballots, by deploying hundreds of thousands of volunteers to intimidate them. As the ranking Democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, Cummings also raised concerns in a letter on Thursday to Catherine Engelbrecht, True the Vote’s founder, about the group’s ties to the Republican...

The Supreme Court said Tuesday that early voting can proceed in Ohio — a major victory for President Obama. In a one-sentence order with no explanation, the court rejected Ohio Republicans' efforts to block early voting three days before Election Day. The court left in place a lower court's ruling that said early voting had to be available to all Ohioans — not just military personnel. Democrats initiated the legal battle over Ohio's early voting policy after state officials decided to eliminate three days of early voting that were offered in 2008. Minorities, who traditionally favor Democrats, often take advantage...

Does voter fraud actually exist? If you ask members of the Obama administration, Democratic lawmakers or the left-leaning media, they often argue it's a myth concocted by Republicans to suppress Democratic turnout. Even U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has called voter fraud "a problem that does not really exist." But what you won't see in most of the nation's headlines is the series of explosive investigations by patriot James O'Keefe and his nonprofit, Project Veritas. In stunning video footage (called "DNC Staffer Assists Double Voting In Support of Obama" on YouTube), a top Obama campaign worker gleefully helps an undercover...

Last night I was informed by my wife that a friend from our church told her that their son went to registar to vote. As he turned in the document, he was asked what was his party affiliation. He told them it was Republican. As he was leaving he heard what sounded like paper tearing. He turned around and asked them to produce his documentation. At first they told him that they could not and then finally after futher prodding admitted that they did in fact destroyed the documentation. He reported them to the election board.

Voces, as it is commonly called, is one of several groups that filed a lawsuit against Wisconsin’s newly passed voter ID law which requires voters to show a photo ID to confirm identity when they go to the polls. The lawsuit they filed successfully led to the law being suspended by a Dane County court. Members of the Wisconsin Supreme Court have refused to hear the voter ID case before the November 6th election. This means that Wisconsin, a state known for examples of voter fraud, will not be protected by a piece of legislation that mirrors similar election integrity...

Documents detailing multiple legal threats from the AFL-CIO and Florida Democratic Party operatives indicate a new effort to keep citizens from acting as election observers and assisting in the maintenance of their local voter rolls. Two Florida voters were in receipt of a letter last week threatening legal action should they “frivolously” challenge voter registration records, or as election workers in the polls. Unfortunately for the union, no justification for the threats could be given. Worse, Florida election code and federal law gives clear guidance for citizens to offer challenges to voter rolls keeping dead, duplicate, or ineligible ballots from...

As the presidential race tightens and the fierce rivals try to win every vote they can, experts say flawed safeguards could allow people who live in two states to vote twice for their favorite candidate. Those same double-voters could cast ballots in congressional races in two different states, possibly affecting this year's pivotal election when both political parties are vying for control of the U.S. Senate and House. Double voting is especially a concern in Florida, where a myriad part-time residents, known as snowbirds, have a second home in a different state, giving them the chance to register to vote...

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — With three weeks to go until Election Day, Democrats and Republicans are wrangling over early voting in the presidential battleground state of Ohio, with President Barack Obama's campaign urging the U.S. Supreme Court not to hear the Ohio secretary of state's appeal of a lower court ruling on the issue. The campaign said in a court filing Friday that the high court should deny Ohio Secretary of State John Husted's appeal of a lower court ruling that reinstated early voting on the three days before Election Day and returned discretion to local elections boards. Husted, a...

Democratic lawmakers and activists nationwide are angry about a crop of billboard signs posted in early October in the Cleveland and Milwaukee areas that warn of stiff penalties for voter fraud. The roughly 33 signs warn that "Voter Fraud is a Felony" punishable by up to 3-1/2 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, wording flanked by a large picture of a judge's gavel. The signs will be up through the November 6 election day in the Cleveland and Milwaukee areas and were paid for by an anonymous "Family Foundation," according to a spokesman for Clear Channel Outdoor, which owns...
