  • What's the Deal With This Blog? (Take off, you hoser).

    09/29/2005 3:56:30 PM PDT · by John Anderson.Toronto · 271 replies · 7,893+ views
I was reading the text of the interview between Kalb and Rather and learned that the Rather story on Bush's aborted National Guard service was thwarted by "blogs" called "Free Republic" and "Buckhead." I did find a Buckhead.org, but it just seems to be a bland Atlanta area news source, so I don't know the story in that. So I came here. And guess what? Nothing. Your story page is nothing more than boilerplate site/conservative mission comments. I really don't know why this blog is meaningful at all. I would guess the main stream media has nothing to worry about.

Looking for help. I am developing a personal website, and am using Macromedia Dreamweaver 2004 MX and Contribute 3. I am going to have affiliated sponsers to my website to help pay for it. I also am seeking to figure out how to add these links, href to these programs, and create a web counter. Wonder if there are some quick, and easy steps a freeper can explain to me in how to link and create these. I have signed up with linkshare.com for several companies and can't seem to get them to link from these programs. Also, trying to...

...he co-authored with theologian Jay W. Richards called "The Privileged Planet." The book claims that Earth is so unique, it must have been created by an "intelligent designer." One Iowa State professor, Hector Avalos, accused Gonzalez of having a hidden religious agenda...Gonzalez's academic archenemy at Iowa State is Hector Avalos, an associate professor of religious studies at Iowa State who is also the faculty adviser for the ISU Atheist and Agnostic Society. "I didn't expect this level of vitriol," he says after hanging up. "This level of intense hostility, just knee-jerk emotional response from people...."

How do we, as republicans, prevent the spread of bile under the guise of conservatism? I mean, how are we to educate people to our beliefs if we have those crazies among us who refuse to project themselves as intelligent articulate contributors to society? I WANT to see the Republican party grow and flourish... but how can we do that if a few uneducated extremists continue to demolish our good name??? Thoughts?

Many argue that communism will never be possible because of "human nature". The essence of this false argument is the belief that a communist society would consist of an all-powerful central government that would tell everybody what to do--and would therefore undermine the creative initiative of individuals and the search for happiness. • This argument is based on two false assumptions: (1) It assumes that a communist society will look like the former Soviet Union, or the current China, North Korea, etc (ie: corrupt police states with a feudal-style ruling class) (2) It assumes that people will only work in...

this site is whacked. The whole website claims to oppose somthing with one side of it's mouth and then goes around supporting basically the same thing. You all claim to oppose Islam but advocate the same things they do. You even worship the same god they do. You claim to support free speech and religious liberty but demand that the seperation of church and state that has protected religious freedom be torn down and anyone who says anything critical about Bush, Rush or any so called conservative thrown out. You claim to oppose media biased but are far more biased...

Gas costs so much. I cant afford it. Why want Bush do something? Don't say he can't. His daddy or his handlers could be on the phone in 2 minutes with the Rothchilds and by 1 week, oil prices would be under $20 and gas would be 1 dollar a gallon. You know it and I know it. Why want he? Do you know? Is there sombody we can call? Plaese advice.

Hmmm, I doesn't appear that Hildabeast (or "Law of the Sea" Condi for that matter) can even be president.: Article II.Section. 1. Clause 1: The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows ... Clause 6: In Case of the Removal of...

Texas longhorn If you ever have to “grab a bull by the horns” try a Texas longhorn. Considering that my first post was critical of SF Chronicle's depiction of USMC General Mattis – but somehow got into a vanity section – I wouldn’t be surprised that this too gets reclassified the same way. According to some members here, I invited the Wrath of Gods upon myself on account of: a) being new – not knowing the ropes b) having posted a vanity as my first article c) me being a pink, pro-communist, liberal threat to security of the United States...

Pardon the vanity but I believe this will make for an intriguing thread. I have been following rather closely this I-Pod phenomenon with interest. There was a piece in USA Today last week where they compare the I-Pod users with cult members. One 20 something was quoted as saying "my I-Pod changed my life." IMHO, that means this individual was in serious need of a life. Now follow me here. Libs complain about those of us in the "radical religious Right." However, it is my observation that the Left is just as religious as any Evangelical,Conservative Catholic or devout Jew....

I think that it has been well established that "conservatives" or whatever it is they call themselves these days (e.g., storm troopers) in matters concerning politics value little more than the state's power in which they imagine themselves to participate and the supposed glory that war and domestic national securitism brings to them. Now strictly speaking this is a delusion, because their only access to power lies in the accidental agreement of their opinions with those of the managers of the state. This access will evaporate as soon as the state does something that displeases our conservatives. It is always...

President Bush was inaugurated for his second term (not that French guy whose name escapes me at the moment)...NOT ONE DAMN DIME DAY turned quickly to WASTE OF DAMN TIME DAY...Che and Karl are STILL dead... What I am asking for? People to check out the tx.motorcycles newsgroup and reply to a person listed as Brian Walker. He seems to be a person that really gotten upset about Kerry losing. And his father, Bill Walker, also to a lesser extent. Some name calling there, including calling Repubs - "Welfare Queens" You will just have to read the posts by both Walkers to understand what I am talking about. It is easier than me trying to explain them. I hope some of you here can rattle his cage and un nerve him somewhat.

How is everyone feeling about the election? I am confident for two reasons. 1. Most electoral-projection maps have Bush winning. Taking averages is better than looking at just one poll, electoral map, etc... 2. Bush has solid leads in most of his red states whereas Kerry is in serious danger of loosing several of Gore's blue states (NM, IA, WI, MN, MI, PA, HI).
