Obama’s Plan To Destroy America’s Farms Moving Full Steam Ahead

The goal seems to be nothing short of eradicating American farms and self-sustainability. Even DEMOCRATS are opposing the Obama Energy Bill. Climate change legislation will be utterly devastating for American farmers. Rep. Leonard Boswell (D-IA) of the House Agriculture Committee says that not only will he not vote for it, but no one else on his committee will support it either. The bill would increase the cost of everything that farmers depend on, such as diesel fuel, gasoline, fertilizers, pesticides, and a host of other things. It would raise taxes on energy by $846 billion over the next ten years....

Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) inserted a last-minute 310-page amendment into the cap-and-trade climate change bill just hours before the bill reached a House vote last Friday evening, and the amendments included indecipherable provisions for something called a “central procurement state.”

Marky boy, we are free to buy and sell guns by and amongst ourselves as free "people" without any registration requirement. Happens all the time. This gun-show malarkey has nothing to do with gun shows - it is trying to require every gun transaction to be regulated. Get it? Are you THAT dense?
Waxman-Markey Flunks Math

A couple we know got a rude interruption on Saturday night. The two had settled into their seats at the AMC Cupertino Square 16 theater and were enjoying The Taking of Pelham 123, a thriller remake starring John Travolta and Denzel Washington. But Pelham 123 never finished; the theater lost its electrical power. The cause was a rolling brownout, due to a California heat wave and excessive use of air conditioning. Electricity is a good thing. It powers your computer, drives economic growth, transmits images from Tehran streets, keeps preemies alive in hospitals, prevents meat from rotting and enchants and...

One-hundred-fifty years for Bernie Madoff means he'll be out by next spring, probably. While Bernie Madoff gets 150 years, Waxman and Markey weren't even cited in their scheme, their rip-off, this climate bill. Do you realize there was not even a bill? There was not even a copy of the bill in the well of the House, which is standard. It wasn't even written.
Governor Opposes Waxman-Markey Bill (Palin)

June 29, 2009, Anchorage, Alaska – Governor Sarah Palin announced today she does not support a controversial piece of federal climate change legislation that is making its way through Congress. The American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 is authored by U.S. Representatives Henry Waxman and Ed Markey. Governor Palin is concerned about the economic and environmental impacts the legislation could have on Alaska. “This bill does not offer enough flexibility to states to meet national standards and goals,” Governor Palin said. “Flexibility is particularly important for Alaska. Our cold climate and rural populations make it difficult for Alaskans...

What's in the Waxman-Markey Bill?

And how will this bill affect you? It has regulations on every single aspect of your daily life. There are light bulb restrictions (no more than 60 watts in your candelabra); in fact there's a whole section that deals with lamps. If you decide to build a new home, it must meet new and specific energy requirements. If you decide to sell your existing home, a federal inspector must inspect your home, determine it's energy rating, and if your home is found to be unacceptable then you must retrofit and make changes before you will be able to sell. it.

The American Clean Energy and Security Act (HR 2454) - the pinnacle of waste

The American Clean Energy Act was approved in the House of Representatives on Friday, June 26, 2009. The bill is some 1,201 pages. At the last minute (Technically 3 am in the morning of the 26 th) a 300 page amendment to the bill was added. At the time of the vote, it is unclear what was the actual version of the bill being voted on. The bill is headed to the Senate. Reid says he will wait until the fall to take action. The Senate will likely dramatically reduce the scope of the bill.

U.S. House Democratic leaders are scrambling to secure the votes for quick passage of a carbon cap-and-trade law, arguing that aggressively attacking greenhouses gases will save the planet and restore America's standing in the international community. But some of their more moderate colleagues are balking and for good cause. This bill will break the budget of U.S. households. Cap-and-trade will set a limit on the amount of carbon manufacturers and energy producers can emit. Those that exceed the limit would have to buy credits from those who are under their cap. The Obama administration contends this will create free-market trading...
