Weather Channel anchor sexually harassed, sabotaged co-anchor, lawsuit contends

The Weather Channel did not need Doppler Radar to track this storm. It needed a lawyer. For almost two years, co-anchors Bob Stokes and Hillary Andrews seemed to make a good team on air and enjoyed good ratings. But behind the scenes, Stokes was sexually harassing Andrews and sabotaging her work on the air, her ongoing lawsuit against Stokes contends. According to Andrews' lawsuit, Stokes, 50, once a popular meteorologist at the cable network, was a serial sexual harasser. Stokes had already harassed a former co-anchor and then became sexually obsessed with Andrews when she began working at the cable...

Open Letter To Environmentalists [John Coleman, founder of the Weather Channel.....]

Open Letter To Environmentalists Thank you for your dedication to protecting our environment. Clean air and clean water are essential to preserving life on planet Earth. Protecting all species and natural lands and forests are admirable priorities. Recycling and a green lifestyle are wonderful. Making the environment the most important thing in your life is a good thing, not a problem. I support you. But we do have a problem. You have vigorously embraced the Global Warming predictions of the United Nation's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and are using the warning of uncontrollable warming and a resulting environmental calamity...

Weather Channel Founder: Sue Al Gore for Fraud (wising up to the fraud)

The founder of the Weather Channel wants to sue Al Gore for fraud, hoping a legal debate will settle the global warming debate once and for all. John Coleman, who founded the cable network in 1982, suggests suing for fraud proponents of global warming, including Al Gore, and companies that sell carbon credits. "Is he committing financial fraud? That is the question," Coleman said. "Since we can't get a debate, I thought perhaps if we had a legal challenge and went into a court of law, where it was our scientists and their scientists, and all the legal proceedings with...

I swear I saw this today at the Yahoo homepage- a header that said AlGore was being sued by the owner of the Weather Channel for perpetrating a hoax....about Global Warming.....!! I tried to open the article, but I just kept getting the IE explorer error, indicating server overload. This happened about 12 noon today, EST. The next thing I knew, about 20 minutes later, Yahoo pulled the header/article....gone!! Anyone else see this?

Weather Channel Founder: Sue Al Gore to Expose Global Warming Fraud

By now most people are aware that the founder of The Weather Channel, John Coleman, said global warming is "the greatest scam in history" last November. On Monday, while speaking at the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change being held in New York City, Coleman took his criticisms further by advocating that all those involved in the sale and marketing of carbon credits, including Al Gore, should be sued "to finally put some light on the fraud of global warming.”

Weather Channel Founder Calls Global Warming A 'Scam'

NBC Augusta.com Weather Channel Founder Calls Global Warming A 'Scam' By Rich Rogersrrogers@nbcaugusta.com Story Updated: Nov 8, 2007 at 7:21 PM EST When John Coleman founded The Weather Channel in the early 1980's, he probably never could have guessed that TWC would be promoting the theory of global warming in the 2000's. That's because Coleman doesn't believe in global warming, or so-called climate change. In a November 7 blog entry on icecap.us, Coleman makes it clear that he does not oppose environmentalism, but he says that global warming is a "non-event, a manufactured crisis and a total scam." "I have...

In June 2002, Heidi Cullen, a researcher at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colo., received a telephone call from an executive at the Weather Channel. Would she audition for a program on climate and global warming that producers at the Atlanta-based cable television network were contemplating? Q: Your coverage of global warming has been controversial. Are you surprised? A: In a way, yes. To me, global warming isn’t a political issue, it’s a scientific one. But a lot of people out there think you’re being an advocate when you talk climate science. Last December, I wrote a...

Con job at The Weather Channel -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted: January 5, 2007 1:00 a.m. Eastern This week Americans observed a national day of mourning (I'm speaking not of President Ford's funeral, but rather the day that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi seized power in Congress). Far-left political ideologies are being promulgated through ever-increasing mediums, and recently I noticed that a once-vaunted American television network, The Weather Channel, had succumbed to the cancerous spread of liberalism. The Weather Channel debuted in 1982 and went on to earn a reputation as a well-known and respected cable network. The explosive success of the cable...

Edward John Lazano Jr., Bradley Reynolds and Jorma Brandon Duran were freed on $500 bail each after their arrests Wednesday, The Southern Standard reported. Calls seeking comment Saturday from the Warren County sheriff's office were not immediately returned.
