OK I love this show It is the ONLY show I have watched ON PURPOSE in years (the first episodes of House and early My Name is Earl were up there too) I loved how Mr White was the nerdy geek in over his head, dumb-lucking his way out of terrible situations in often hilarious ways But this weeks episode when [SPOILER ALERT] they shot that kid [END SPOILER ALERT] I see no way of getting out of and still making good TV out of it. MY only hope is that the kids wasn't shot, he just passed out. I...

•It seems that recently Rahm came home and found a brown paper bag sitting on his front porch and demanded to know how it got there and what it was from his security detail. After all, there are police guarding his house front and rear 24/7. The police are not supposed to come on the front porch and the 1st watch detail knew nothing about it. Looking inside it was determined that it contained tomatoes and various vegetables. And the Case of the Killer Tomatoes was closed with no evil consequence. And so far as can be determined, just one...

That evening at the Burlington Mall food court, the first things one noticed were some uniformed Burlington police and also several uniformed mall cops. The mall cops approached anyone they suspected was a reporter and told them they couldn't take photos or videos. (For the flood of people on "Appreciation Day" there were no police that we could see and maybe three mall cops. And lots of people took photos and videos the entire time with no trouble.) Around 7:45 pm about a dozen or so activists suddenly came marching into the food court and gathered in front of Chick-fil-A....

OK I am not fond of vanities or posting them, (but I have been known to)... But Ann Coulter made a brilliant point last night that I think went right over Hannity's head. She screamed (literally) at single women, who are shaping up to be a voting block for Obama. She said somethign to the effect that Obama may give them free contractptives but they will lose child-support if their ex does not have a job

“F**k Chick-Fil-A.” With that opening, Jane Lynch segued from last year’s Emmy hosting gig to roast master for Roseanne Barr. Lynch presided over Carrie Fisher, Ellen Barkin, Wayne Brady, Katey Sagal, Seth Green, producer Jeff Ross, fellow roast regular Gilbert Gottfried and comics Anthony Jeselnik and Amy Schumer as they skewered the plus-size 90’s sitcom queen in a two hour special taped at the Hollywood Palladium on Saturday night. Here’s what you won’t be seeing on air when “Comedy Central’s Roast of Roseanne” premieres next Sunday night, August 12. Let’s get this one out of the way first. Roast fixture...

Clear (tm) wireless service has recently begun offering a deal where you can order a 4G antenna dongle, which looks similar to a WiFi dongle but taps into a cellular-like data service, for free. Only hitch is that this has to be plugged into a computer (typically a laptop, but there's no reason a desktop machine couldn't use it too). Are there small self contained routers that can use one of these dongles? That is, if the economics would even make sense (because after all you can buy a full size router and Clear service receiver for $50 right now)....

A while back I posted some match-ups for conservative women and superheroines (see them here) with the promise to follow up with liberal super villains. The premise is simple (and in this case, easy to make), match up a liberal to a villain in pop culture. With the previous post it was limited to comics/sci-fi, I loosened up a bit for this one.In some ways this was a little more difficult, some of the villians have very little source material to work with. However, I do have more matches than I did with the ladies.

Ooopsies. Maybe filming yourself being a complete jerk to a poor innocent young woman is not the best idea. Adam Smith, the jerk from the video we posted earlier today, has been fired from his job as CFO of Vante. TUCSON, AZ--(Marketwire - Aug 2, 2012) - The following is a statement from Vante: Vante regrets the unfortunate events that transpired yesterday in Tucson between our former CFO/Treasurer Adam Smith and an employee at Chick-fil-A. Effective immediately, Mr. Smith is no longer an employee of our company. The actions of Mr. Smith do not reflect our corporate values in any...

Houston area police were involved in the cutest police chase ever this morning when a Smart Convertible led cops around the highways outside the city. Awwwwww! The Smart has a top speed of 90 MPH, so we aren't yet ready to call this a high speed chase. The driver was arrested without any issues after he pulled off the highway and into a driveway. There's no word on what he did wrong, other than drive a Smart Cabriolet in public. While not confirmed, we're hearing it was towed away from the scene by a local child with a big wheel.

Graham Spanier might have been ousted from his post at the helm of Penn State over the sex-abuse scandal that engulfed the university, but it seems he’s found a backup employer: the American taxpayer. Only a disgraced public figure would consider joining the much-maligned ranks of the federal workforce as a step up, reputation-wise. We can assume there were no openings for a used-car salesman. Spanier was faulted in an internal Penn State report after the conviction on child-molestation charges of former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky. The report said he, head coach Joe Paterno and others helped cover up...

Seeking revenge, author of gay Green Lantern will give Brazilian boyfriend to his heroBy Julio Severo DC Comics writer James Robinson declared that he has received many messages criticizing him for having homosexualized the original Green Lantern, Alan Scott, who now is forced to be a homosexual. The strongest opposition, the bitter scriptwriter says, came from Brazil. James Robinson: seeking revenge from Brazilian fans of Green Lantern “The most hostile criticism I’ve received was hostile tweets from Brazil. I had been out and the next morning I was like ‘all right, my liver is murdering me’ and someone was...

I am going to put this at the top, though it refers to Update 6, where I posted a Reuters image captured October 1, 2011 on the Brooklyn Bridge of a protester that appears in the YouTube video I have found so curious. The clarity of this image leads me to conclude, contrary to what I have believed the past several days, that the protester that appears when James W. Holmes sings "hate is on the rise" is not James E. Holmes. It appears that all of this is just a weird thing on the internet. I apologize to the...

The animal kingdom joins the Counterjihad. A few weeks ago, in Almeria, on the Spanish coast just across from Africa, a North African illegal turned up for emergency treatment at Torrecárdenas hospital. Some of the bones of his face had been smashed in and he had suffered multiple hematomas. Later it emerged that the Muslim had suffered these injuries while visiting a farm in El Ejido, intending to have sex with a horse there. But the horse had other ideas. It brutally kicked the lovelorn Muslim in the face. It seems the farmer had caught the same Muslim twice before...

See Video & Pictures HereA heavily armed gunman attacked an Aurora, Colorado, movie theater early Friday, tossing tear gas before opening fire on the terrified audience and killing 12 and wounding 38, authorities said. The theater was showing the new Batman movie, "The Dark Knight Rises." One of the injured was just 3 months old, hospital workers said. The shooting unfolded inside a darkened theater packed with Batman fans, some in costume for the movie's premiere. Screaming, panicked moviegoers scrambled to escape from the black-clad gunman, who wore a gas mask and randomly shot as he walked up the theater's...

Go Galt Now! I searched for many threads on "going galt" before posting this, and many were discussing what it means and whether or not we should do it and my answer is YES- AND DO IT NOW! What it means: A book by Ayn Rand had a character named John Galt, who tossed it all in to say the hell with this and stops all economic activity because of excessive taxes and government regulations Rather than accept punishment for his success he decided to show them all how much THEY would lose without his riches or hard work So......

A recent National Geographic poll showing that Americans think President Obama would do better against an invasion from outer space than rival Mitt Romney has Obama campaign strategists thinking. “When you think about it, isn't protecting the planet from being conquered by space monsters the most important thing that any person could do?” mused Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod. “And can there be any doubt that the President would easily outshine anyone else on such a task? After all, remember, he's the one who killed bin-Laden. On the other hand, there's no evidence that Romney has ever killed anyone.” Axelrod...

Dear Freepers, HiTech RedNeck struck out on the two other jobs whose locales were inquired about earlier: Madison WI and Bentonville AR. While a formidable challenger, HTRN had even more formidable competitors and did not win out. Stinging off of the Wisconsin loss (which had looked a lot like a win until the very end) HTRN signed up for two new job boards: corp-corp.com and engineerjobs.com. They looked rinky dink compared to the classy, complex Monster and Dice, but they were ranked high by Google, and I was thinking any new ports in a storm. Well, very shortly HTRN's email...

Occupy Marines' three solutions to end American human rights dark era The Occupy group calling itself the "World's Premiere Civil Disobedience Fighting Force," Occupy Marines has released a crystallized message this week on corruption of the justice system and betrayal of the Constitution by senior officers of all three branches of government culminating in the nation's most severe human rights abuses in history. Occupy Marines has also offered solutions to rectify the nation's human rights dark era. "The OccupyMARINES Press Release, issued in the aftermath of the 2012 NATGAT in Philadelphia, is likely to be remembered as the defining document...

(This is the first installment of a multi-part series.) Massachusetts leads America (and probably the world) in state-supported homosexual --and now transgender -- activism targeting schoolchildren. If you want to see what's eventually in store for you and your kids across the country and beyond, this is the place to look. Over the last few months in Massachusetts the homosexual and transgender groups have stepped up their plans for the classrooms, and their hands-on indoctrination and -- yes -- recruitment of kids in adult-led gay off-campus clubs, gatherings, and events. Most parents and taxpayers don't have a clue what is...

Anti-Prostitution Posters, World War II Emphasizing the relationship between patriotism, morality, health preservation, and disease prevention, images of the infected soldier and disease-carrying prostitute in posters during the First and Second World Wars came to symbolize both moral failure and social decay. The following posters use images of "loose" women, patriotic iconography, and frightening symbols to grab the attention of the viewer and inspire behavior modification. These images not only reflected attitudes, values, and beliefs about the causes and consequences of venereal disease but also affected responses to the problem. (Note: Most these photos link back to Retronaut; added are...

A man who claims to be a TSA supervisor called into the Alex Jones Show and dropped this bombshell. Calling himself "Rob" to shield his actual identity, the caller told Jones that the TSA is intentionally directing its staff to not only hire applicants who have criminal records, exhibit violent tendencies and have a history of psychopathic behavior; but the agency is actually moving these people to the front of the pack.

Anderson Cooper has some news to share. "The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn't be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud," the CNN anchor wrote Monday in an open letter to his longtime friend Andrew Sullivan of the Daily Beast. The host of Anderson Cooper: 360, 45, also says that he has waited until now to announce the fact because, "As long as a journalist shows fairness and honesty in his or her work, their private life shouldn't matter." Cooper, who also hosts his own syndicated talk daytime show Anderson, addressed...

We're used to Andrea Rossi making statements about his work on the Journal of Nuclear Physics web site. Some are more dramatic than others, and this latest one could be considered more on the dramatic side: Italo R. June 24th, 2012 at 10:42 AM Dear dr. Rossi, in these hot summer days we all are sweating. What about you, near your 600 °C device? Warm (or, better, fresh) regards… Italo R. - Andrea Rossi June 24th, 2012 at 1:37 PM Dear Italo R.: Actually, I am in the USA, close to 20 reactors working above 600 Celsius. We must collect...
