I got banned from a lefty site this Sunday. I admit it, I was taunting, but kick me off? I've been prowling websites the last year of so searching for a good debate. Most liberals I've engaged with don't want to debate, they just want to aim foul-mouthed tirades at the intellectual inferiors who are too stupid to think just like they do. The best discussions I've had were with European lefties and atheists. They know how to defend their positions and they do it without the rabid attacks. Go to your ordinary lefty site run by Americans and you...

Heads up everyone. The left is starting to push out a new smear against Palin. I just got an email in a 'dummy' account that I use to troll talking points from leftwing groups. They are using the photo below to pose as Conservatives on forums and blogs and say that Palin refuses to wear an 'American Flag' that it is an Israli flag. The truth is, this is a "Blue Star Family" pin honoring a son in service. Apparently the left has no idea what this pin is or they hope enough gullible people don't look into it.

I am simply compiling a list of definitions for racism. Please reply to this post with what your honest opinion is. In this nation we are bombarded with constant charges of racism but no one really ever defines what racism is. Please share your comments with me. I may use them in a later post. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I'd like to welcome the Obama media and supporters who are visiting FreeRepublic.com thanks to the publication by the Obama campaign of Unfit for Publication.FreeRepublic.com is the most popular conservative news analysis and activism site on the web. It is the third most popular political website overall according to Hitwise.com. Not bad considering FreeRepublic.com has no advertising budget, relies solely on donations and is not promoted in the media like the two more popular sites on Hitwise: Huffington Post and Politico.FreeRepublic.com has been around for twelve years and, along with the Drudge Report, has helped revolutionize politics on the Internet.Over...

McCain Gambles with Awkward Joke June 27, 2008 7:38 AM In an interview with the Las Vegas Sun, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., was asked by columnist Jon Ralston why he didn't choose Gov. Jim Gibbons to chair his Nevada campaign. "I appreciate his support," McCain said. "As you know, the lieutenant governor is our chairman." Why snub the governor? Ralston asked. "I didn’t mean to snub him,. I've known the lieutenant governor for 15 years and we've been good friends," McCain said. "I didn't intend to snub him. There are other states where the governor is not the chairman." Maybe...

Lets not keep requesting for same sex marriage. Lets demand that one woman and one man marriges no longer get the benefits that type of marriage receives from federal and state government. When they realize that they have no power of decision making over the health of their mate, that neither one can inherit the social security or the estate they have built and that they loose all the benefits just for the entitlement of one man and one woman marriage certificate. That will stop the religious and political push to change the US Constitution or any state constitution.

Hey.. how do you folks feel about prayers in public schools? It's a controversial issue so just wanted to hear what you guys have to say on the matter. In favor/opposed and reasons.

How can we get Jeb Bush to run as an independent? Think about it. In an ordinary year, he would have the baggage of Bush fatigue. But I bet he could win in a three-way race against any Democrat and an unreliable, hotheaded, too old, moderate at best, and not very nice candidate like McCain. This could be Jeb’s time, and the best shot he will ever have. He would have no latino problem, being loved in Florida. Our low turnout compared to the Dems shows us that the party is too dispirited to be successful this year. Jeb Bush...

The other day I wrote a thread reflecting upon the question of what Ann Coulter has done to win people over to the cause of conservatism. I explained that she had for years been a women I admired and agree with her on just about every political belief. My thesis was that she is a great entertainer and has enriched herself as a result as she appeals to those who don't need a physician but her delivery is so obnoxious and un-pallatable that she wouldn't win anyone over to the cause even if she is correct. Someone replied to me...

The recent debate about waterboarding not being torture is the rationalization that we, the righteous, do not torture. The arguments convolute two separate points. First, they say that waterboarding is not torture and in the next breath they defend its use. “Cdr. Spig’s argument falls apart in the first sentence. “Water-boarding… could be torture in the hands of a sadist.” In the field, in secret prisons, who do you think gets the job. The one who wants it i.e. the sadist. Why do you think tapes depicting its use were destroyed. If they were aired on CNN there would be...

By now, readers will know who I favor in the Democratic race. Here's my most considered case. But what of the GOP? For me, it comes down to two men, Ron Paul and John McCain. That may sound strange, because in many ways they are polar opposites: the champion of the surge and the non-interventionist against the Iraq war; the occasional meddling boss of Washington and the live-and-let-live libertarian from Texas. But picking a candidate is always a mix of policy and character, of pragmatism and principle. And what these two mavericks share, to my mind, is a modicum of...

Ok, I'm new here, so I don't know exactly how this works, and I know that I'm probably gonna get in trouble for this (as I know that you're not supposed to post threads like this on your first post) but I need help, and since you guys are the most reliable newssource on the web, I decided to turn to you. Basically, I have a communist *ss of a friend, and I keep telling him that a) Iraq posed a threat to U.S. Security and harbored WMD. and b) There is a link between Osama bin Laden and Saddam...

Hunt is a privately-held independent oil company based in Dallas, Texas. A third partner, Impulse Energy Corp., also has a stake in the project. "We're very pleased to have the opportunity to be a part of these landmark events by actively participating in the establishment of the petroleum industry," Ray L. Hunt, Hunt's CEO, said in a statement. Hunt, who is also on the board of Halliburton, has been a key fundraiser for President George W. Bush, who named him to the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board.

I spend a few minutes each day staying in touch with pop culture and news; Digg, Youtube, and Freerepublic are my mainstays. I have discovered, as I'm sure most readers have, that the comments and discussion of an article or post is as, if not more, interesting, funny, and informative as the original article. The problem is wading thru all the mediocre comments (often 100's) for the real gems among the bunch. I would like to suggest a rating system similar to other sites that allow other readers to rate comments which will allow other users to sort the comments...

I have a question. On a number of occasions, Rush and other conservatives have said that following 9/11, liberals were bemoaning the fact that it didn't happen on Clinton's watch because then his handling of it would be his legacy. It would be a chance for him to look good. I've done countless Google searches and can find nothing. Can anyone point me to specific examples? Thanks.

Recently Newt Gingrich told an interviewer that there was a 4 to 1 chance that he would "not" run for President! ( link1 ) GOP Presidential candidates have been openly criticizing and snubbing the President. ( link2) Faced with a 40% drop in small donor contributions, the "old RNC" actually fired all of its phone solicitors ( link3 ) showing how absolutely divorced from reality they, the RNC, are. Putting all the blame on the poor phone solicitors and none on themselves! What a collection of losers. And over all GOP fundraising is down and sagging behind the dem's. (...

And how could they refuse? They all have a strong sense of duty and honor. They respect the Office of the President. So when the President calls, they must go. Even though they had to know they were being used. And, of course, the President and Karl Rove know what to expect from this noble group. And they must also have known that these individuals would be criticized for attending this session. But Rove and the President only care about their own political hides. They could care less who they damage in the process of covering their own back sides...

RETRACTION: Apparently the motto is present on the side of the coin. It has been removed from plain sight. Like God has been removed from the public view all around our nation. I stand by my post as to the insidiousness of the left. Are we now ashamed of God?

Certain buzz-words thrown out during heated political debate just don't hold the power they used to. Unfortunately, words such as Socialist and Communism are two of those words. When you try and speak reasonably with certain types of people about real Socialists and the growing popularity of Communism in the world... their eyes glaze over as if you've just turned into a TV commercial advertising something they don't use or care about. It's sad really... especially considering the fact that Socialism is alive and well in America... only it's known here as the Democrat Party. Liberalism is just another word...

Did anyone get this email about May 15 2007? On this day, the email states that there is going to be a walk out on buying gas, throughout the U.S.A.. In my opinion and the way gas prices are sky rocketing in the United States, this is a great idea! Lets show these politicians and oil companies who is really in charge, us! Lets all banned together, and show them how we can control the price of gas too! May 15 2007 1. Everyone in the U.S. does not buy gas for one whole day! Gas up a couple of...

Did you know that a right-wing talk show host has just said that she would have "no problem" with it if Bill Keller were "sent to the gas chamber" for publishing the big Times piece on the U.S.'s secret financial surveillance program? And no one even blinked. The host was Melanie Morgan, a sometime guest on MSNBC and a radio "personality" whose show airs on San Francisco's KSFO-AM. Morgan just did an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle in which she said that Keller should be jailed for treason. You've heard that said plenty of times already. But you haven't...

RIVERDALE, Md. — A man was arrested Thursday and charged with making a bomb that he planned to use to attack an abortion clinic, a device that went off in the home of a friend while authorities were trying to disable it. Robert F. He told authorities that he made the bomb and had a gun he planned to use in...

It seems that a "clean up" has taken place at the Protest Warriors Forum. They have banned several of there conservative members that supposedly had been posting gay pornography, starting personal attack topics against users, and/or spamming the forum. I have been a member of Protest Warrior for almost three years and have not seen one of the people mentioned ever post "gay porn", and the only time they have ever insulted or attacked anyone from the forum was in self defense. Most of the banned did have strong conviction when it came to homosexuality. Obviously there are quite a...

APRIL 6--A former top aide to Vice President Dick Cheney told a federal grand jury that President George Bush authorized him to leak information from a classified intelligence report to a New York Times reporter. Details of I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby's testimony were included in a court filing made yesterday by Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald, who is prosecuting Libby for perjury, obstruction of justice, and making false statements in connection with the probe into the leaking of CIA agent Valerie Plame's identity. According to Fitzgerald's filing, an excerpt of which you'll find below, Libby, 55, testified in 2003 that he...

How would one go about introducing (or gauging support for) a law/regulation that would require credit issuing companies to remove items from someone's credit report based on the terms of a divorce decree? The thought being that it is too easy for one party in a divorce to ruin the other's credit by simply not paying under the terms of the decree. Obviously there would have to be some sort criteria for what debts would qualify, but for now I am just curious as to how things like this get proposed to people that can explore it further and have...

<p>The first thing I will say up front - I am a progressive, not a conservative. This message is about the freedom of Free Republic, versus the party line of Democratic Underground.</p>
<p>If you look at Democratic Underground's rules ( http://www.democraticunderground.com/forums/rules_detailed.html ), one is "Democratic Underground may not be used for political, partisan, or advocacy activity by supporters of any political party or candidate other than the Democratic Party or Democratic candidates." Note, this doesn't say Republicans, this doesn't say "progressive candidates", it says Democratic candidates, period. Now let's compare this to Free Republic's posting guidelines ( http://www.freerepublic.com/help.htm ) - "Broadly stated, the goals of this site are to further conservatism, expose political corruption, and recover a truly constitutional form of government." No mention of the Republican Party. No jihad against you if you make up your mind to vote for Pertouka. No "party line" from the Republican leadership. Significantly, even though DU and FR are compared often, that is a (unofficial) Democratic Party site, you are a conservative site.</p>

If the communities we live are have become an unreliable disaster for our kids we must redouble are efforts as parents. As a matter of fact maybe this should have been part one, as the individual family’s values shape the nature of the community (we could argue chicken and egg theory here). Now this next concept is pretty dramatic and complex, so hold on to your coffee. Here it is....More people need to make raising their kids the most important priority in their lives. This is not a revolutionary idea, but seems terribly hard for many folks to put into...

Subject: Good Post I don't remember the name of the AOL member who wrote this post . However , he has given a great deal of thought to the only solution we in America face against Islamofacism . The author of this post should be given spots on Larry King , CNBC , Fox News Network , ABC , CBS , NBC , BBC , and most of all AL JAZEERA . "To get out of a difficulty, one usually must go through it. Our country is now facing the most serious threat to its existence, as we know it,...

I am 16 years old and in the speech and debate team at my high school. President George W. Bush asked Congress on Tuesday to consider giving him powers to use the military to enforce quarantines in case of an avian influenza epidemic. He said the military, and perhaps the National Guard, might be needed to take such a role if the feared H5N1 bird flu virus changes enough to cause widespread human infection. "If we had an outbreak somewhere in the United States, do we not then quarantine that part of the country? And how do you, then, enforce a quarantine?" Bush asked at a news conference. "It's one thing to shut down airplanes. It's...

Still one has to wonder why a helpless human being was so atrociously and heinously starved to death according to the middle-age "Carolinian Criminal-Court Rules" . My theory is that the president as well as his brother only made token attempts for publicity reasons. To my mind, what is really behind it all, is that Terri Schindler was a testing case for the ORGAN INDUSTRY. In future this rotten judiciary will say it suffices to have the "expert" opinions of three court-hired and court-dependent physicians to declare a person brain-dead to be allowed either to kill this persons for "mercy"...

Robbery, not religion, motive in Jersey City family slaying By WAYNE PARRY ASSOCIATED PRESS WRITER JERSEY CITY, N.J. — Robbery, not religion, was the motive behind the savage slaying of a family of four in January, prosecutors said Friday. Two paroled drug dealers who were deeply in debt were charged with four counts of murder and held on $10 million bail in the Jan. 11 killing of the Armanious family, Coptic Christians from Egypt who emigrated to the United States in 1997. Friends of the family had speculated that Hossam Armanious might have angered Muslims with postings he made in...

I just visited Move On .org for some amusement, because it's always fun seeing deranged liberal TV ads, especially after the fact that they did absolutely nothing to change the outcome of the election. Anyways, I saw this ad on there "Who Runs Fox News" or something like that. I want to know, what's the deal with Fox News. Why do Liberals call it Republican News, Is it because CNN, MSNBC, CBS are very liberal and anything balanced is considered conservative because those Lib networks are supposed to be balanced? What's the deal here, I just want to know what...

Hi, gang, I was a regular contributor to the Kerry Online Forum and am now a regular contributor to the Common Ground Common Sense forum. I am a liberal, but I'll be the first to admit, I don't have all the answers. In fact, many of hte questions that matter to me probably matter to you too. I'm concerned with the erosion of civil liberties. And yes, I am...

Some conservative groups expressed dismay Tuesday over President Bush’s tolerance of state-sanctioned civil unions between gay people — laws that would grant same-sex partners most or all the rights available to married couples."I don’t think we should deny people rights to a civil union, a legal arrangement, if that’s what a state chooses to do so," Bush said in an interview aired Tuesday on ABC. Bush acknowledged that his position put him at odds with the Republican platform, which opposes civil unions."Civil unions are a government endorsement of homosexuality," said Robert Knight, director of the Culture and Family Institute….
