CNN suggested Thursday that the terrorist attack in Barcelona, Spain may have been inspired by the violence at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va., because both involved a vehicle running down pedestrians. The claim has drawn criticism because vehicle-ramming has been used before by Islamic extremists to carry out terrorist attacks. Investigators have not drawn any links between the incidents in Barcelona and Charlottesville.

CNN's Wolf Blitzer was anchoring the network's breaking news coverage Thursday afternoon on the possible radical Islamic terror attack in Barcelona, Spain when he made the inartful and arguably pathetic assertion that the truck attack could be "a copycat" of the neo-Nazi car attack on Saturday in Charlottesville, Virginia.

You can't make this up. Blitzer actually contemplated whether Barcelona was a copycat of Charlottesville.

The tragedy in Charlottesville, Virginia, could have been an occasion to stop and consider how the tolerance for politically correct violence and politically correct hatred is leading the nation toward civil war. The New York Times features reporter reprimanded by his editors for referring to first lady Melania Trump as a "hooker," took to Twitter Tuesday to out himself, take responsibility for his mistake and apologize for his "stupid" remark. The fake news problem is really getting out of control. Donald Trump was sworn in as President on 20th January, and in just two weeks he has already set back women’s rights dramatically. He has restricted women’s reproductive rights, cut funding to international organizations who promote, provide and advise on abortions, and just yesterday it was revealed that he’s planning an executive order to declare pre-marital sex, same-sex marriage and abortion to be wrong. Because that's how executive orders work. Of course this isn't the kind of fake news the media tackles. Instead it's the kind that it winkingly distributes.

A majority of Americans disapprove of President Trump's work during his first week in the White House - breaking a record of how long it generally takes the majority of Americans to disapprove of a president. On Saturday, 51 percent of Americans disapproved of Trump, a Gallup poll found. The poll tracks daily approval ratings for Trump by surveying 1,500 Americans. It took just eight days to reach these ratings. It took at least several hundred days for the majority of Americans to disapprove of past presidents.
