I consider myself a loyal conservative and a Christian. I provide financial support to socially and politically conservative organizations. In an effort to reduce the power and influence of misguided or corrupt Republican Party leaders on individual politicians, I donate money directly to conservative politicians rather than to the Republican Party Machine.

I make an extra effort for the conservative cause by actively engaging liberals in conversation about important political and social issues. I do so in an attempt to educate and correct misinformation. I endeavor to be honest and polite in those conversations with liberal, whether on FreeRepublic or elsewhere, to represent conservativism with honor.

I discovered FreeRepublic through Ann Coulter in 2008. (No, I don't understand why she's supporting Romney in 2012. I am stumped.) I am a relative newbie at FR, I became a monthly donor after just one month of membership and a Dollar-a-Day club member after (approximately) two years. If you are not a monthly donor, I encourage you to become one. Political talking heads regularly review conservative web sites, such as FR, to gauge the conservative grassroots consensus on the web. Through FR, we have a very powerful collective voice and the opportunity to influence the political conversation on a national level. So it's important to financially support FR.
