My vote will go to Chuck Baldwin in 2008 the only Conservative running. The United States voters can do better than McCain or Obama. Isn't nearly 20 years lacking real Conservative leadership in the White House enough?

I'm also an Independent voter sick and tired of the mainstream GOP. Show me a Conservative Constitution Platform Republican and I'll support the person. Show me more of the same left wing Ford Republicans who took over the GOP in 1989 and I'll support someone else. The last POTUS we've had with leadership quality? Ronald Reagan. The last POTUS we've had who truly understands what National Defense actually meant and acted accordingly? Ronald Reagan. Despite his faults he was perhaps the best president this nation has had since the founders themselves were elected in the late 1700's and early 1800's and no I don't like Lincoln.

In the past nearly 20 years since Reagan left office the GOP has morphed itself into supporting what it once stood firmly against. The one exception was 1995 before the Rockefeller Coup in the GOP Congress and Conservatives lost any say of the platform and party direction.

One day I woke up and discovered the party had left my beliefs years ago. The time following the election of 1996 was a wake up call for me. As the cartoon character POGO says "We has seen the enemy and they is us". So it has become with the ones inside the GOP holding control over the party.

I watched on TV in 1996 as one man was screaming to the world on an obscure Conservative TV network he ran that the GOP namely Trent Lott was selling us out. The mans name was Paul Weyrich. At the time I thought this man is mad. Then the more I observed the more his words rang true. It hurt Paul to do this no doubt as he and Lott were once friends. The ones who promised us change like Lott and Newt wasted no time abandoning the cause.

Weyrich is one of the great minds behind such victories as Ronald Reagan and later even the GOP takeover of both houses. Many who call themselves conservative know very little of the great men who started the Conservative Revolution in the late 1970's & early 1980's. Some when they do hear such names as Howard Phillps mentioned respond in their political ignorance calling ones such as he betrayers or nutjobs. Without ones such as Weyrich and Phillips pushing for government reforms the GOP would still be the minority.

I want to see a POTUS who dedicated his efforts and energies on restoring Constitutional principles in government starting in his own branch with the halting of Legislating via Executive Orders. I want to see a POTUS who proclaims the responsibility funding and oversight of education belongs solely to the states and local communities and is not a function of the federal government.

I want to see a POTUS who will take the Second Amendment for what it says & means without adding except for this or that circumstance to his platform.

I want to see a POTUS who has the courage to tell China no, revoke their trade privileges to accomplish our national interest, and does not have his family soliciting and pandering to the leadership of a Communist Nation. Is that asking too much? I didn't like it under Clinton and no I don't like it now either.

I want to see a POTUS who goes before congress when his party is in power and says I call for our unconditional withdrawal from the United Nations and to void any agreements and treaties with all nations that are not specifically in the best interest in the United States.

I want to see a POTUS who says we don't converse with terrorist groups and because of that we do not support nor give aid to groups calling for the demise of Israel. Nor will we use our power to try and force Israel to excepting the surrender of her land to such groups.

I want hear the day our POTUS can based on his religous beliefs simply say to the nation Merry Christmas and leave it at that. I want to see the Ten Commandments being disaplayed as just that and not the Ten Recomendations. These Commandments and Judeo/Christian principles were the cornerstone of our nations founding. Whether or not you abide in them is YOUR CHOICE the founders gave us all.

I want to see a canidate for POTUS does not say say in the debates that he is not that far apart with his rival on most issues. Then why run in the first place and waste peoples time and take away someones chance who is far apart? I want better choices!!!!

I want to see an election with a canidate who is not on the ballot because he is the Lesser of Two Evils? Hitler & Stalin were evils which one of the lesser would you have voted for then? What about the right man for the job as the determinating qualification instead? What is wrong with that?

Wake up Republican Party! You are no better in your policies these days than those who call themselves Democracts. Even John F Kennedy if he were alive today would be far too conservative for your recent aquired liberal political taste.

I want to vote RINO's out of office and will indeed do so if a choice is given. If no other choice is there then I will leave an empty ballot for that office as a vote of protest and rejection for the party vote counters to see. Remember all precients count total number of voters as well. An empty ballot on an office is in fact a vote. It means the voter did not find a suitable canidate to vote for. RINO's will not be elected or re-elected on my vote.

Three Departments of government have proven to me we do not need them. The Department of Education. Education should be a state and local issue ran accordingly. The U.S. State Department. Many of our woes in the Middle East are a direct result of the out of touch with reality management of this department. This has not changed course in nearly 20 years. The Department of Homeland Security. Why? For over 200 years Americans stood tall and handled invasions and attacks on our soil and territories.

For over 200 years it was understood Homeland Security was armed citizens and a well regulated milita and standing Armies as well as a fair but limited in number regulated means of entering the U.S. These three departments are the most mismanaged agencies. We can do better without them.
