When I was a Christian, it seemed to me that if you believed in God, you should proclaim it the way Gounod did in the Credo from his St. Cecilia mass. Now that I am a post-christian, it seems to me that whatever you believe in, you should proclaim in this jubilant, glorious fashion. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I have over the years.
