I served seven years on active duty in the United States Navy, including during Desert Storm. My ship tied up pierside at Al Jubayal, Saudi Arabia during some of the most intense points during the war. A Scud warhead landed just behind the ship just around midnight one night, nearly obliterating the entire crew. I say this not to brag, as there are few braggarts amongst those who have truly been in mortal danger on behalf of our Nation. I mention it only as an antidote against those who would gainsay my commentary. Many are those who profess a love of the Republic. Few however, are those who have stepped into the breach to defend her. I'm one, and no matter what the detractors may say, I defend her against ALL enemies, both foreign and domestic, still. Today.
