I've been lurking Free Republic for a year or so and finally decided to join. I at one time held some wacky lefty ideas but experience pretty much put paid to all that. I was a closet Libertarian for years but came out recently because I wanted to buy a "Heartless Libertarian" tee-shirt. Being a Christian, I have a lot of sympathy for Conservative ideas but deep reservations about legislating morality (but hey-maybe I'm wrong!).
