HOPE (Homeowners Opposing Power-line Encroachment) was founded in 2001 by homeowners and property owners along the Dallas Highway corridor in west Cobb County. Since this time H.O.P.E. has grown to become a statewide organization. These residents and citizens are concerned about the power companies unbridled and uncompromising authority/power being used to further their corporate financial interests without regard to the impact on those affected citizens who happen to be in their way. H.O.P.E. is dedicated to the protection of all residents’ quality of life and value of their property. HOPE believes that it is the right and duty of the local community, those of us most affected by the changes that high voltage transmission lines will bring, to insure the beauty, the historical integrity, and quality of life for our generation and the generations to follow. Come join us in this effort!

Homeowners in Bartow, Barrow, Berrien, Carroll, Cobb, Cherokee, Dawson, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall, Irwin, Lumpkin, Paulding, Rabun, White, and Whitfield counties have either set up HOPE chapters in their counties or actively support efforts to counter Power Company encroachments on their property and their families’ lives. Several other counties are currently forming their local chapters.

Join HOPE and become a vocal proponent of protecting your property value, your family’s health and safety, and the natural beauty of your habitat.
