I just happen to find that stuff a creative outlet for me. In fact, at the bottom of my page, I have links to what I call "The Insider Fraud/Fiction Collection"

I lurked around here for about a year, I believe I followed a link from TownHall.com. I was always impressed with the insight and humor I found here and got hooked. I first registered in July of 2001 under a different handle. However, one day I got in a really nasty flame war with another (long time) poster. Normally I pride myself in being able to disagree civilly. I’d had a bad day and just lost it. I decided after making a complete ass of myself in front of anyone and everyone on that thread, it was time to put that profile to rest. (I’ve subsequently apologized to that poster).

I’m one of the few posters who actually lives in Philadelphia (there’s 2 others that I know of ). One of my hot buttons is people who try to paint the entire city as a dump. Yeah, there’s some really ugly areas, but there’s also a lot of great, really livable places too. People who don’t recognize this are speaking from ignorance.

I tend to make some outrageous comments from time to time in an attempt at humor, so if you’re reading this to find out “Who’s this idiot who calls himself Owl_Eagle” I’m probably just kidding.

Oh, the name. You know, I really kind of wish I’d put a little more thought into it, but, I’ve made some friends and acquaintances around here and I’d hate to have to go re-introduce myself.

President Bush had to ask himself: "If I remove Saddam and learn later that he did not have weapons of mass destruction after all, how would that compare to leaving him in place-and learning only after he used them or enabled terrorists to use them that he did in fact possess the chemical and biological weapons that all Western intelligence organizations as well as United Nations inspectors believed him to have hidden away?" Where intelligence is uncertain, prudent leaders will inevitably minimize risk by erring on the side of the worst possible assumption. And rightly so. -
