My user name, Pheasant, is a tribute to my Mother, it was her nickname. She was the most informed, bright, witty conservative you would have the pleasure of meeting. She was sharp as a tack right up until her death at the age of 88. I miss her every day.

I am so lucky to be an American. I love reading posts on Free Republic and trying to stay informed so that I can have rebuttals to my liberal friends comments. I have been happily married for 41 years and have two beautiful children and 3 beautiful grandsons. I guess that there isn’t anything else that I need or want in life!! I am very, very blessed.
