I'm a college gal who lives in Texas. I am studying to be a forensic chemist, with a minor in Criminal Justice. Currently, I am attending classes at a community college, but I have been accepted to Sam Houston State, where I will finish my degree in another two years.
Some of you may know my dad, Eastforker. He is the one that introduced me to FR. What can I say, except that I love this place?
I used to be fairly liberal when I was a teenager, but now that I am in my mid-twenties, and had a little taste of independence, I have changed quite a bit.
I don't know that I'm completely conservative yet, but I can definitely say that I don't agree with any of the libs out there. Theirs is the platform of extremism and bigotry, of which I had always thought Conservatives are.
Now I see that issues like Affirmative Action and Welfare are designed not to help, but to keep oppressed the poor and the black. I see that the feminists (the extreme ones anyways) validate, rather than help to change, the stereotype that a woman cannot make it in this world. By that, I mean Hillary Clinton. I have come to the fair conclusion that Hillary wants, strike that, needs power, but cannot do it without Bill. If she's such a women's rights freak, then she would have tried on her own. BUT, since she didn't, she will never know if she could have accomplished anything on her own. Ergo, my statement.
It's hard sometimes being a young person in this world, I'll admit that, but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I love this country... I just hope we can one day live without fear.
