I have long heard about FreeRepublic from some admired friends who send me articles from time to time. A link came up in a search recently which gave me some information for which I was looking, and I was impressed, as usual, with the wit, temper, and overall usage of gray-matter collectively found discussing the wisdom (or lack thereof) of the day here on FR. Certainly I find myself in need of more of all of the above.

I am forty-years-old...fast approaching that forty-first birthday. My degree is in Theology and, if I ever recover from that nasty broken back (eight months and counting now) I hope to return to Seminary to improve my understanding of Scripture.

I love to discuss History, as I learned far to little of it in my younger days, citing, "how will this every help me when I grow up?!" Politics interest me a great deal, again, learning about them late in life.

Reagan was my Governor AND my President growing up, and having moved a few times, "W" has now also been my Governor and my President. Ann Coulter is my hero...I want to be her when I grow up.

My children are 18, 17 and 12. My oldest is a Marine "Poolee" and ships out for Boot Camp in October of this year, my middle boy to do the same upon his graduation. (I home school him, and will need to figure out how to provide him with a Diploma as the Marines no longer accept GEDs).

My twelve-year-old...female. 'nuf said.

Like not being born in Texas, but moving here, I am finally a Registered Member of Free Republic...I got here as FAST AS I COULD!
