My great, great, great uncle was a Civil War general, Republican senator from Illinois, and vice presidential candidate, and my mother worked for the Goldwater campaign so my conservative roots are deep. I have a lot of wall paper in engineering from top ten universities and have expertise in launch vehicles, rocket propulsion, fluid dynamics, acoustics, hypersonics, and related fields. My physical diversions include inline skating (> 3500 miles per year), swimming, hiking, beach volleyball, and country, swing and salsa dancing. My mental diversions include politics, Christian apologetics, alternative health, finance, psychology, and foreign languages. I was recently married to a stunning young 5'8", 125# anesthesiologist from Shanghai. She was a true RED STATE conservative long before anyone ever coined the terms "red state" or "blue state." It took her and her parents over 20 years of waiting in line to legally immigrate from Communist China to the US. Her father's parents were starved to death by the communists who siezed all of their property in 1949.

If I don't reply to your reply of one of my posts, it's typically one of four reasons:
1. Your reply requires no reply.
2. I've said everything I wanted to say on a particular issue.
3. I have detected that your intellect or psyche is such that your head would explode if I did reply.
4. I just don't have the time to 'splain it to you, Lucy!

My family proudly supported DUNCAN HUNTER for president in 2008, but has drawn the line at Mitt Romney. We'll vote 3rd party or not at all for president if McCain or Huckabee appear anywhere on the GOP presidential ticket. That will make the first time in over 30 years I haven't voted for president.

Three questions for the party loyalists in the audience:

1. How much worse than Jimmy Carter could Hillary or Obama possibly do?
2. How much better than Ronald Reagan can we expect after the country is once again sickened by democratic control of the Whitehouse?

and finally...

3. Will republicans and conservative democrats in congress more readily rise up against a "faux republican" governing like a democrat in the Whitehouse than a democrat with a D after his name in the Whitehouse on matters of principle? (Do you really think we should confuse these borderline morons anymore than they already are?)

I'm certainly willing to risk it. A RINO president gets the conservative movement nowhere and risks the death of the only viable political party capable of executing a conservative agenda. I'd rather lose the battle with a true conservative than win the battle and lose the war with a RINO like McCain.
