I'm from Bucks County, Pennsylvania -- just north of Philadelphia.

It is a beautiful and prosperous place to live. The rural (upper part of the county) is majority Republicans, but the lower urban part is increasingly Democratic as people move here from Philadelphia (which is 80% Dem)

Countywide, the registration has reportedly shifted in favor of Democrats just this past year... approx 186,000 Dems to 182,000 Republicans.

The local newspaper, the Bucks County Courier Times, had a mission in 2006 to oust our very excellent Republicam Congressman, Mike Fitzpatrick, a pro-life low tax law & order strong military type.....

The new Rep. is Patrick Murphy, who spent 3 months in Iraq as a JAG --- (Justice Advocate General ? )

The media tried to make him out to be some sort of Audie Murphy type, hunting alqaeda in the back streets of Baghdad when in reality he stayed in the Green zone... and spent time representing Iraqi's who filed lawsuits against the US military.
