I'm an American woman of Mexican descent who is a proud member of the vast right-wing conspiracy. I'm also a conservative political activist in Reno, Nevada. I consider myself a Reagan Republican because my ideals are fiscally and socially conservative.

I don't get people who say they are fiscally conservative and socially liberal. That, to me, is being intellectually dishonest. If you are socially liberal then you believe in policies and programs that will be burdensome to the taxpayer because how else will these liberal social policies be instituted and run? In essence these people are saying, Don't touch my wallet, but go ahead and kill all the unborn children you want, release convicted sex offenders from prison, and teach our kids how to put condoms on in public school. There is a price to be paid for such disregard for our society's soul. At a minimum, it will cost taxpayers money down the road to fix all the problems such disregard creates.

Also, I am a big believer in securing our borders. I had the opportunity to be one of the featured speakers featuring Chris Simcox of the MinuteMen Project in June 2006. Since my speech was lengthy, I am posting my new blog addy for anyone who wants to read it: http://rosatherabidconservative2.blogspot.com/2006/08/my-american-dream.html

I have a well-developed sense of humor, although not as well-delivered as some of my fellow freepers. I'm a big Ann Coulter fan and have read and re-read all her books. I'm also a big Jane Austen and Nikkola Tesla fan (I know, my interests are varied and somewhat out there!)

A year ago, I was reluctant to support Mitt Romney for President because I felt that I was more conservative than he was. That being said, after researching him and his governership more, and after actually meeting him and talking to him face-to-face, I am convinced he is who is best to run this great country at this time. He is truly a good man and will do great things for this country. Go Mitt Go!
