I come from a long line of Democrats, but Ronald Reagan and the times he faced changed my outlook on politics. I feel a lot like Zell Miller, I didn't leave the Democratic party, it left me. I am a social and fiscal conservative, and I held out hope for a long time that the Democratic party would move more back to the center of the political spectrum, but it didn't, so I am done with them.
