29 years active duty Navy. I remember fretting that I'd have BJC signing my retirement papers when I'd decided to retire from the military, but the decision to retire then ended up changing and here I am.

I then recall how scared I was that Kerry would sign them, but we lucked out, and my service continued anyway.

And now, good Lord, it seems as if BHO will be the man to finally sign my papers. God help us and unless we can stop this man, I will hold a retirement paper burning party and end my 30 years of military service with a very bitter taste and a foul smell as his signature burns. I refuse to hold on to anything with this man's signature on it, regardless of what it would otherwise mean to me.

An now, we know that there are alternatives. I can ask for any past president to sign them as long as I request them in time. Sweet!

FR has kept me sane these past years, whether reading the general news forum or enjoying the superb support from the Canteen and the Lair. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are the best.
