Slavery was legal but not moral.

Abortion is legal but are we not allowed to speak out against it?

Speak out, yes!   Do you have the right or should any government have the authority to kill anyone that is in favor of abortion or practices an act of abortion?

Yes, we have the right to speak out concerning Abortion, but this is an entirely different analogy.

Slavery was a SECTIONAL issue. It didn’t affect the economy of the North whatsoever.

Well, that was exactly what your slave owner ancestors were doing with the Abortionists, who they killed and censored.

No abortionists were allowed in the South and free speech was shut off even in Congress.

Slavery was not allowed to be denounced as an evil, lest it hurt the tender sensibilities of the sensitive Southern slave owners who wanted to view themselves as 'noble'.

And over a hundred years later, their descendent's are still denouncing those who advocated freedom for all men based on the principles of the Declaration of Independence, because they are offended by any denunciation of those who thought slavery was a positive good.

Actually, yes, if the public should authorize it as a criminal act, the death penalty as the punishment, and due process used to convict the abortionist. It has been thus in the past, when abortion was recognized as a form of homicide.
