Illegal Border Crashers Can LEGALLY Vote in Federal Elections
New American Prophet ^ | May 12, 2024 | Greg Holt

Tucker Carlson in a recent show announced that despite the current belief held by many if not most people in the U.S., illegals CAN vote in U.S. elections.

True the Vote discovered this anomaly in the U.S. code apparently, but is this really true?

Here is the U.S. code referenced and spoken of by Tucker and True the Vote founder Catherine Engelbrecht:

18 U.S. Code § 611 – Voting by aliens (a) It shall be unlawful for any alien to vote in any election held solely or in part for the purpose of electing a candidate for the office of President, Vice President, Presidential elector, Member of the Senate, Member of the House of Representatives, Delegate from the District of Columbia, or Resident Commissioner, unless—
(c) Subsection (a) does not apply to an alien if—... (3) the alien reasonably believed at the time of voting in violation of such subsection that he or she was a citizen of the United States. - https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/611

Note that Google incredibly reports, "can aliens vote for President" "did not match any documents." Without quotes the consensus that the number of voting by non-citzens is so low as to make no difference, though the Left firms opposes making this difficult.

The liberal AP states:

To be clear, there have been cases of noncitizens casting ballots, but they are extremely rare... Johnson tried to address this, saying that “we cannot wait for widespread fraud to occur.” But one prior crackdown on purported noncitizen voting also risked striking thousands of actual citizens from the voting rolls....Johnson vowed to introduce legislation requiring proof of citizenship before allowing someone to register to vote, but he provided no further details. It’s likely that such legislation wouldn’t make it out of the Democratic-controlled Senate, and its main impact would be to use it as a talking point against Democrats during the campaign. - https://apnews.com/article/trump-immigrant-voting-noncitizens-elections-explained-cf4c73b336147b5f5d9c2a22b2564994

What are the odds that an illegal caught voting in a blue state will be prosecuted? Zip, zero, nada.

The Michigan Mean Girls and their newly inaugurated dem state legislature have apparently gutted the voting laws in Mishoitgan, in preparation for the 2024 Steal in Michigan.

“Why shouldn’t a US citizen(s) be able to make citizen’s arrests of these criminal aliens if they are voting illegally?”

1- How will you know they are voting illegally?
2- When is the last time you heard of someone making a citizens arrest? You’d probably get arrested if you tried it.

There will be a day when citizens of other countries can vote in U.S. elections remotely, without the need to physically be present in the country.

"How will you know they are voting illegally?"

That doesn't answer the question.

"When is the last time you heard of someone making a citizens arrest? You’d probably get arrested if you tried it."

That doesn't answer the question either!

I didn’t say a citizen shouldn’t be allowed to make a citizens arrest for illegal voting. But if you do you had better be able to show reasonable suspicion or proof of your claim. If not YOU could be arrested. So now you can answer my question. How will you know the person voted illegally?

“How will you know the person voted illegally?”

I described a scenario where it is known. You seem to be describing a scenario where it not known.

“I described a scenario where it is known. You seem to be describing a scenario where it not known.”

Why are you refusing to answer HOW you know they voted illegally? I look forward to seeing you on the news when the person you attempt to arrest resists or you make a procedural error and get arrested. Why not just call the cops?

You’re just raising more questions. The one question I asked was very clear.

Okay, let me rephrase it for you.

If making a citizen’s arrest of criminal migrant “voters” is illegal anywhere in the US, then why shouldn’t it be legal?

I’m not looking for why it may or may not be advisable, and just because I’ve mentioned it doesn’t mean that I’d go ahead and do it if I could. What I’d rather see is 3 or 4 reputable citizens working together with the police (local and county Sheriffs) as they make their citizen’s arrests of individuals known to be here illegally without sufficient ID or proof of address and registration in any given voting precinct. I’d like to see the same kind of action against illegal migrant criminals working to disrupt and corrupt mail-in ballot processing and vote counts at all polling locations and any other forms of election and voter fraud.

Understood, thanks. Working with the police or sheriffs dept would be a good way to keep out of trouble.
