With less than two weeks to go before Arizona's primary election Republican candidate US Representative Martha McSally is refusing to debate her rivals in the US Senate Primary set for August 28th.
McSally is running against former State Senator Kelli Ward and former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
Arpaio's decision to enter the race this year appears to split the more conservative voters giving McSally a better chance of winning.
The missing factor in the race is a clear cut endorsement from President Donald Trump. Trump did tweet praise of Ward within the last year.

Joe Arpaio was once a hero of mine.
Since he decided to be a stooge of the Cheap Labor Express and help them maintain AZ’s two amnesty Senators, he’s nothing to me.

Arpaio endorsed Dem Janet Napolitano for Gov of AZ in 2002 over Repub Congressman Matt Salmon. It was so close that it took a week to decide and Salmon finally conceded. Arpaio’s endorsement put her over the top. Napolitano went on to be Obama’s DHS chief.
Prior to the 2002 election she was the US Attorney for AZ. We have always felt that Joe made some kind of deal with her: I’ll endorse you if you call the fed dogs off me and let me run my jail like I want. Never really know.

From what you just posted, the man seems to be another McCain. Like others, Sheriff Joe was once considered a man of moral principles. Speaking of his admiration of Candidate Trump and his concern for Mrs. Sheriff Joe, he did nothing more than guild the lily? He is a Prickly Pete, who had best watch his spines. What a shame.
