Where is that in the Federalists or the Debates at the Convention in Philadelphia?
It’s in the Constitution. Article I, Section 2 where it describes how members of the house shall be selected by the people of the several states.
No, it is not written in our constitution.
If you take the time to read references from the constitutional convention in Philadelphia in 1787, you would find many references to our design of government being a republican form of government.
You can imagine what you want, you can provide your personal opinions as you want, but there is not one reference to our Constitution providing any sort of a democracy to our nation.
I will provide a citation on this a little later.
The problem you 1788ers have is how to empower the government created by the Constitution to repress and then defeat to communist Revolution sweeping over your nation without going the Sulla/Franco/Pinochet route.
