Here's some of the show biz in Mexico.

Manufacturing Companies Moving To Mexico From The US -- Nov 01, 2021

Source: https://insights.tetakawi.com/manufacturing-companies-moving-to-mexico-from-the-us

"Mexico is the United States’ second-largest export market and third-largest trading partner. Many large global companies have chosen to locate significant manufacturing operations in Mexico along the U.S. Mexican border. The combination of lower cost wages and close proximity to US markets make Mexico an attractive option in today’s competitive environment. Approximately 54% of the raw materials used in Mexican manufacturing facilities are sourced from the US."

"Fortune 500 industries – Mexico is already the proud home of various industrial giants, in particular, the major industries in Mexico are those within the aerospace, automobile, and electronic space. In just the automobile industry alone, Mexico hosts: Ford, Chrysler, GM, VW, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Honda. Also, BMW, Audi, and Daimler are in the process of building new assembly plants in Mexico. Analysts expect that automotive manufacturing will be the largest industry within the country, making it one of the foremost automobile exporters in the world.

Dear Old Fart,

You write: "Us old farts are being screwed, by Democrats elected by our kids and Grandkids."

Bloody hell, you've said the glaring truth.

I feel a little better. It’s Glenn Beck style talk anyway. You’re the accountant.

Fr. Mitch Pacwa who is a hunter and an avid gun rights advocate and anti-woke priest on EWTN Network said he used to listen to Glenn Beck years ago and said it took him 1-3 days to settle down from worrying about what Beck predicted.

He decided to stop listening and has felt better since.

Sounds like a great move, trade all your dollars for a currency based on the economies of Afghanistan, Algeria, Argentina, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sudan, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Uruguay, Venezuela, and Zimbabwe.

You left out the the five BRICS countries. Why?

Thank you. I completely agree.

My life became much easier once I stopped spending so much time on Facebook.

Yes, and what will happen to all those jobs exported to Mexico if the dollar is dethroned?

Would corporations still produce in Mexico and ship it to the US if they can simply produce in the US for less?

Same goes for all those jobs exported to China the last thirty years….

My use of “We” referred to society as a whole.
Most my family are pretty conservative.
Besides as I have it planned, there won’t be much to leave them. I intend to spend it all.

While no authority on these things, I would ask you to consider the labor portion of production costs in Mexico and the US. UAW and the affiliates versus non-American, non-union employees in Mexico.

Media household income in the US is currently somewhere around $70K, and for the average UAW member it is over $150K. In Mexico it's about $15K, in equivalent dollars.

There will have to be a huge increase in auto workers' average income in Mexico to BEGIN to rival the UAW's cost.

Labor costs to a company are among its largest costs, and they can be generally from 30% to upwards of 70%. American unions put pressure for the higher, of course.

Factor in "50 Years Of Shrinking Union Membership, In One Map,"

Again you write, "Would corporations still produce in Mexico and ship it to the US if they can simply produce in the US for less?"

Tell me how multinationals are going to get labor costs down in the US? Easier, and probably a lot less expensive to just pay the money changing costs, and use ore than one currency.

I worked in Europe a great deal before the Euro. Changing from Belgian francs to Deutschmarks was an expense, a cost. I factored it into my contracts such that ultimately "consumers" paid. And / or governments. After the Euro was introduced, many changing costs lessened in Europe, but remained when moving capital to the US.

Even if exchange costs added -- say 20 percent of a price, or even more -- that is so much less in the moment than trying to span a Mexican household's ~ $15K to a UAW household's ~$150K. One can drive a truck through that "wage" gap.

With respect there is only one way "we" can produce in the US for less. Lower the labor cost. You can imagine how that might happen.

Apt and accurate.

“Sounds like a great move, trade all your dollars for a currency based on the economies of Afghanistan...”

Considering that these countries will find themselves in the same situation as Russia if they don’t allow Drag Queen Parades and Grooming (something that is being threatened on Uganda), I’d say it is a great move.

“There will have to be a huge increase in auto workers’ average income in Mexico to BEGIN to rival the UAW’s cost.”

Let’s play that: currently the US dollar is worth about 17 pesos.

If the dollar were dethroned and the peso rose to parity, then that would equate to a 17x increase for all Mexican labor. Illegal immigration would likely cease and potentially reverse.

Indeed there might even be many gringos heading South of the Border for permanent residence. Some of those may even be UAW members.

On the flip side, those $60k GM trucks currently made in Mexico would cost GM closer to $1M. Think GM couldn’t produce them here for less?

All according to the deep state plan. Americans have no idea what is coming or how bad things are going to get.

The Fed Reserve has known for decades that if those “foreign dollars” ever had to come home it would break our economy. Buckle up.
