I do give small amounts to Disabled American Veterans.
Check Charity Navigator to see how much they give on what they take in. There are a lot of charities that give the minimum to whatever they are collecting for, roughly $0.05 on the Dollar. My criteria, if a charity is not utilizing at least $0.35 on the dollar or more, no money.
