Trump’s attorneys on Tuesday moved for a mistrial over Stormy Daniels’ testimony, but the crooked judge rejected it.
“What’s the jury to do with that? It’s still extraordinarily prejudicial to insert safety — safety concerns into a trial about business records. There’s no way to unring the bell in our view,” Trump’s attorney Todd Blanche argued.
“As a threshold matter, Mr. Blanche, I agree that there were things that would have been better left unsaid. I think the witness was a little difficult to control,” Judge Merchan said, according to ABC News.

It is HIS courtroom and HIS responsibility to control it and control the witnesses. Why did he not stop her prejudicial, irrelevant and salacious testimony?
I believe Andrew McCarthy predicted they would do this when he appeared on Hugh Hewitt’s YT show yesterday.

Perhaps the Trump hating jurors will be satisfied that his reputation has been smeared even more, but can't find the needed elements of a crime. Then again, we won't know until they come back with a verdict.

ALL the Trump trials are only about constantly filling the airwaves with negative opinions of Trump. I don't believe its even about trying to secure "conviction"
It fits with the notion that all deep-state schemes are just based on manipulating public opinion and gas-lighting, reality and consequences be damned. Its how they rolled with Russia-gate, with Covid, with Ukraine, with the economy.

Merchan is caught between a rock and a hard place. There’s a good chance a guilty verdict will be overturned on appeal and he’s looking more and more the fool in the legal community.
On the other hand he’s a Trump hater and doesn’t want to lose his liberal buddies and his liberal family.
He should have recused from the start.
